"Think of him as a huge Holgate upgrade"
My nan would be an upgrade on Holgate, and she'll be 97 by the start of the season.
6:26 Age is the concern with Gueye, not errors. He's won the ball back and provided key moments breaking up play far beyond any sort of mistakes he's made.
Roles needed filling for Everton most is CF, RW, LB, in that order. Maybe a second tier GK but not as important because could be filled from the youngsters, if Onana is sold then we need a CM aswell
Completely agree.
Critical Recruitment = CF, RW, LB;
Next = GK(#2), RB (the current pair are now injury prone), AM;
Any other recruitment is a nice to have but only if they improve the team and we get rid of existing players.
@@hulmeyuk Patterson is looking very injury prone indeed but Coleman is just lacking the stamina to keep doing full 90 giving 100% every week, but definitely not injury prone at all, plus we have 2 CBs and Garner who can cover RB, somewhere to look at improving maybe but too many other areas NEED filling/improving and can’t be having y’all bad mouth the captain like that when his injuries don’t come from anything other than having the balls to stay in tackles 💪 (and bellends like Son)
Gyokeres from coventry
Nakamura from lask since he is cheap nd not that known
Marcelo Saracchi he is decent nd would be cheap
Plus we should focus on the relegated laliga teams since they have cheap release clause like puado, darder(as a 10) nd pedrosa
Garner is decent at right back so i dont think we need another one
Everton and Dyche need a good January window. Back up goalkeeper to Pickford is needed to compete with him. Rb needs addressing with Coleman mid thirties now and Paterson injury prone. Left back needs sorting someone to replace or compete with Mylokenko. Attacking midfielder to cover Doucoure , another forward would be could as well even with Calvert Lewin and Beto and i also right wing with no natural right winger is needed
It is absolutely vital that we hold on to Pickford. He's the reason we're still in the Premier League.
Look at Bournemouth and what transfers will help them push up the table
Don't think I've ever seen such a well thought out and balanced piece of everton content made by a non-fan. Some decent and realistic shouts too in terms of transfers. Good video
Leicester or Leeds' signings for the championship would be a great podcast I think
Agreed
Your different suggestions are so refreshing. Genuine effort put in so thank you
Would love to see one of these for QPR Jim, think your insight on the club would make it really interesting
Morelos is awful, barely a 1 in 2 striker in the SPL which is little better than League 2. Never in a million years capable of playing in the Premier League
Morelos is maybe lazy but he,s scored against great clubs all over Europe, he could a hero and he likes to play in blue!
James could you make a video about the appointment of iraola and how bournemouth will look under him
Cheers
As a rangers fan I can safely say that signing alfy would be very risky considering his lack of desire recently. However, he has always stated his dream of playing in the prem so maybe he can return to full fitness to achieve that dream and given his technical and athletic ability he would strive in that Everton side and would probably score at least double figures goals as well and isn’t afraid to get involved in play as well.
Touching the cloth is now a football staple description James I hope to hear it used more next season
Paddy McNair shout is atrotious, he's a back up centre back for us who's had a poor season.Would drive him there for 5m 😂
I've never been this early before lol. Love your content James!
Great video James. Some decent suggestions here. We need a striker, right winger, and a left back. There has loads of back ups required too.
Great James you are so well informed
i know the title says depressing but watching this as an everton fan has made me extremely depressed about this transfer window
This is too weird, I haven’t gone this long without a video from James
For LB, Josh Doig could be a great option for Everton. Did really well in a struggling Hellas Verona side and for £9 million (which is his reported price) could be really solid both going forward and staying in defence.
Aaron Martin on a free is a better solution
Forest have been linked with him over the years, seems like a quality player
Hey Jim, that kit's smashing. Loads of love from Uganda 🇺🇬💪🏾
James when are you making a video documenting Luton’s rise up the FLS??????
I really like you’re optimism on players like holgate mcnair and choudury, i especially like mcnair cucu have always kinda liked him Even tho i like only know he is a versatile defender/midfielder But the Signing makes sense when you explained it
Definitely think this is a good path.. free or cheap transfers for young hard working players. We have wasted so much money with buying the fringe players from the big clubs. Just really hope Dyche can sort us out and make a small step forward this year please no more last day heroics / relegation battles
The editor doesn't get paid enough for these videos Jim. Love the comedic cutaways we've had recently
He promised if the video is funny he won’t mention Eze in any more transfer videos
@@FinnMcSkimming for how long 2 weeks?
Reckon that’d be pushing our luck
I wonder whether someone like Lyndon Dykes could play a role for Everton. Not the most mobile, but mobile enough, very strong in the air and his best abilities is being a nuisance to defenders, where he makes space for other attacking options. Not going to be 1st choice, but could offer something different if things arent going to plan.
Also, love the Flav for Weakest Link😂
Not Everton related u mentioned Moussa Dembele of Spurs the streets will nvr forget what a player, loving these episodes James
Also expiring next year are: Dele Ali, Gbamin, Gomes. Deals will have to be found for them to leave this summer or that means we cannot make signings as they take up about £13m in wages. Defo can't get a new right back. CB only if we sell one or two current CBs
Another wee point about Morelos hes Rangers now top scorer in European football as well so can do it against big teams. Be great signing and never stops running when on it.
Doubt we would get one as palace is a decently settled club but would love to see one of these videos on Crystal Palace, always need to see what people from the outside think of palace and their future
11:50 unlucky with the fact he’s just signed with Leipzig overall good video smart analysis as a liverpool fan let’s hope they do the exact opposite which knowing there board they more than likely will
Any plans for videos on the Championship? Currently a lot going on with teams in there and be also good to see your predictions on who could potentially end up in PL by the end of next season
I know qualifications aren't guaranteed, but it would be great to see a Euros watch. Maybe some nations who might reach it and hidden gems to light up the tournament.
Think that mbappe fella could be a good fit at Everton, gone pretty under the radar past few years so should be able to bag him
Jim your Tottenham videos do pretty well 😉
Loftus Cheek,Harvey Barnes,walker Peters
Morelos is a class signing for everton as a rangers fan he's genuinely so good very good poacher
Up the toffees
Gyokeres from coventry
Nakamura from lask since he is cheap nd not that known
Marcelo Saracchi he is decent nd would be cheap
Plus we should focus on the relegated laliga teams since they have cheap release clause like puado, darder(as a 10) nd pedrosa
James I need a ripple effect episode on Villa and our transfer targets. How Emery and newly appointed Monchi will go about and which sevilla/villareal/laliga players in particular they might target.
If Gyokeres signs he will do good
Jimbo, please do this for AVFC, goal to get them into the Champions League by 2025…
I can’t lie, if Dyche is trusted, I don’t see Everton ever going down, but if that gut feeling is wrong, or they sack him as they have everyone else, I really don’t think Everton can stay up with this squad (either current or proposed) without Dyche.
I understand what you mean. I will say that because Everton have stayed in the top flight for so long Everton always seem to find a way they also stayed up with this same awful squad with Lampard as well and have stayed with awful teams in the past as well Everton just seem to find a way to scrape away at the final hour. However, we need a lot more in order to stabilise that I agree
I think Carlton Morris would be an interesting signing for Everton. Would suit Dyche well, although I’m not sure he’d leave this summer.
Need one for Villa
The defence will keep them in the Prem, best to use forwards as sell-able assets. Getting any striker Prem experience will increase their value. It's less about finding a long term option and more about getting a young unproven player and proving them for cash later.
As an Everton fan onana is gone mate
For LB I'd be looking at Joakim Maehle. Adds that forward ability, can take set pieces which is key for Dyche.
Would double up as that "do Everton need RB cover?"
And in a Dych system could also offer cover on both wings as he plays with deeper wingers.
All that and going by his quoted price last season of under £10m. He covers a lot of gaps with one transfer.
Juve are looking at him and obviously he won't come to Everton over Juve so it's kinda a waste
@@paramtageja6891 been linked with Juve for years and it's never happened.
A club saying 'yes now' can easily climb above a team saying 'maybe soon'.
James, mate -- what is 'the ripple effect' of 5-6 players leaving Man City this summer? Not only that, but the squad looks to be aging a bit... what does a rebuild look like for the treble-winners?
Wingers- Vaclav Cerny( His stats are greatttttttt!!!!!!) , Wilfred Gnonto ( Young and pacey, looks exciting)
James mate it been two weeks since your last upload. you doing all right or are you just on holiday? and if it is the holidays hope you have a good one 😂
Rob Holding sales pitch thank you Jimbo
Please rebuild Southampton. A lot of players due to leave this season and would be great to see you rebuild the squad based around a Russel Martin style of play
I would adore dembelle
Guy. Choudhury and KDH are going to be Leggy’s midfield. He’d cost 15-25m in either case
Defensive midfield options - Vinicius Souza( Proper defensive midfielder who can do the dirty works off the ball and let other midfielders flourish around him, his defensive stats are tooooooo good to ignore, contract expires in 2023 and he is just 23, seems like a perfect fit for everton) , Wilfred Ndidi( Slowed down since last 2 years but there is a very good player in there, everton must buy him)
Jim..I’m Here for the jersey 😀 I’m ugandan 🇺🇬 & excited to see that kit on you 💪🏻
Same here... 😊 Great to see Jim in our kit 🇺🇬🇺🇬
if you can get Morelos motivated & fit he's a good all round striker except for finishing he need 4 shots to score 1, he has incredible strength for his size & bully defenders. Also likes a yellow card
I'd go walker peters solid lb/RB
Honestly think this is generally spot on
Idrissa isn't the same player he was in that first season at PSG, but I can let it go for 1 more season.
Would like a Baumgartner but worried about how tight the budget is. Maybe Joey Veerman is an option.
I think Simms needs to start more; hopefully he can grow into a bit of a Lukaku type (pre 2022)
Baumgartner would surely have better options. He's going to Leipzig it's almost done
My choice: Pickford, Garner, Tarkowski, NathanWood if Branthwaite not staying, Creswell, Onana, Doucoure, Maitland Niles, Gibbs White, McNeill, Goykeres. Subs: Freedie Woodman, Coleman, Jake O'Brien, Siebe Van de Hayden, Onyemachi, Gueye, David Ozoh, Wharton, Elanga, Gray, Tarem Moffi, Cannon,
We REALLY need a striker! Cannot rely on a center midfielder to score goals up front! I also want Dyche to try and reinvent Gray as a second striker because he won’t get in the team ahead of McNeil or Iwobi on the outside. His pace and dribbling are quality! Another thing is to bring Branthwaite into the team! Had a great season on loan. I’m typing my thoughts on the team before I watch this video.
love the content but some absolute stinkers here aha, choudhury and morelos would send us straight down
Watching this a month later and having seen most of the players suggested move elsewhere, whilst Everton have only brought in Ashley Young, it just shows how fast football moves these days and how off the pace Everton really are
Do this for Leeds United
I reckon James is secretly a toffee
Hey Jim, hey everyone, hope you’re all doing well! We can only move forwards 👈😄👉🐌 COYB🔵
Szoboszlai video coming?👀
I wonder for RB if they could get Djed Spence on loan if he’s not playing for Tottenham. Would help them stay on a budget
Manning could cost you a few points with his reckless nature when defending. Would he make up for it with his attacking output? Who knows. Swans fan
We need two strikers and a winger now plus centre back, centre mid and left back, I would go for;
-Gyokeres(17m)
-Dembele(free)
-Harrison(16m)
-Jonny evans(free)
-mctominay(£20m)
-plattenhardt(free)
-Ainsley Maitland Niles(free)
Sell Onana (£55m), Maupay (7m), Simms(5m)
Something like that would be good
Would you consider giving Branthwaite a chance and maybe look at adding another CB option later if it doesn't work out or trying to sell on one of your other CBs and still get Evans and use Branthwaite?
@@jhplayz298 yes keep branthwaite but we lost Mina and coady and holgate not good enough. Would get evans in as cover/leadership. So CB options would be Tarkowski, Keane, Branthwaite and Evans.
Baumgartner has been a Leipzig player for weeks just awaiting confirmation.
We definitely need a RW more than a CDM. The midfield has been the strength under Dyche and Gueye has been really good apart from those mistakes. Chouwdry, Holding and Morelos are rubbish. McNair seems to be too. We should higher, guys like Dembele, Gykores and Harrison are better.
I dont think everton should let neils nkoukou leave i think he will be better than mykolenko at left back with mykolenko as a back up
Morelos is terrible it would be a big mistake signing him and gyokeres ain’t a physical striker
The thing is for now I’d take a lot of these shouts but personally for 2025 I wouldn’t really go for these signings for me personally. Not to say they’re bad players they sound like good players but I do think if Everton want to progress as a club we need to be more ambitious than trying to get Philip Billing. I understand the club is in dire straits however assuming the club has stabilised, Everton is still a massive club. If Aston Villa can get the likes of Youri Tielemans, and being heavily linked to Pau Torres there’s no reason when Everton has stabilised a bit we can’t try to be ambitious and get players of a higher stock, regard. I’m not saying we will ever be getting the Caicedos; the Macallisters of the world but Aston Villa is not a bigger club than Everton in my opinion, they are on par and pretty close but they’re not bigger than Everton and they’re getting top quality signings so if we can do it we can too. I don’t really think these signings James proposed really take Everton to the next level and a lot of them also are unproven which is another worry as well
Villa are signing players because they do have alot of money, they are in Europe and they have a very well respected manager outside premierleague in Emery. nd they are also offering them massive wages. Foreign players don't look at big club or small club they look at the clubs current positions and Everton are not in a great place. And no foreign players sits and says you know what I want to play for frickin Dyche
@@paramtageja6891 I understand what you mean absolutely however only a couple years ago Everton were signing promising young strikers like Moise Kean. I understand Kean hasn’t set the world alight however he was very promising when he was at Juve and high profile and Everton signed him only really a couple years ago under Marco Silva, also the likes of Fulham signed Joao Palhinha, Portugal international when they just got promoted. I understand Everton are in a poor position however I’m talking about when things stabilise, and if we get better why can’t we go for more ambitious shouts? Guys like Billing aren’t gonna really push Everton on a lot of his shouts are very uninspiring and don’t really elevate Everton really.
You don’t know if Everton might be in an awful position in two years things can change quickly in football
@@jorgeandrade783 i get what you're saying but if you knew anything about Juve at that time like Moise Kean had great few of months but he always had personality issues and I also think there was some news about him clashing with the manager. For Plahinha - Palhinha is Portuguese and Marco silva has great links in Portugal and Palhinha was also in Sporting B team when Marco Silva was Sporting manager. These things go a long way in signing players. Don't think Dyche would have any connections in European football
Isn't MSP involved with Hertha Berlin? Kind of gives the Plattenhardt shout more legs.
No that’s 777 capital group
@@themadcaplaughs3884 ah yeah.sonit is
We desperately need Victor Gyokores
The only thing more important than signing Gyokeres is retaining Pickford. We're properly fucked if he leaves.
Manning worth the risk, James what about the mf plays way Hertha they signed from Lyon name slips my mind be good signing
James you used to be the channel for not just premier league fans but all the football league. How have you not done a video documenting the greatest English football league achievement of Luton’s rise and fall and RISE AGAIN?!?!?
Because it’s his channel and he can do what he wants !
We are going down next season 😢
We, as in Everton? Dyche has managed 21pts from 18 games (with the current squad and no striker). Expand that to a full season and we are comfortably midtable. If that's where we finish, I'd be happy with that and build from there. With a couple of shrewd signings, we'll be fine. Not good but fine. And that's good 😏 UTFT
Sheraldo is a winger, and will mostly flop outside union
Slightly uninspiring choices even with us having no money
Paul Wanner from Bayern or Rodri from Betis for Everton IMO. They need a creative. Theyre boring and ofcourse nothing gets to the forwards
Can only go forwards
Some of this is nonsense.
We obviously need better players in all positions, but we're comparatively well stocked at CB and CM, unless there are more sales. Now that Young has come in as a LB, we are currently most desperate for CF and wingers, which is where whatever budget we have should go.
This is a well known and widely accepted view among fans, so I'm surprised at this take.
Mcnair or chodhury? Not a chance in hell. Far better options on loan without squandering the transfer fee, or buying better players on installments like onana.
Video started well mate, but fell away badly.
Save my club Jim 😭
Situation at everton at the moment moshiri still pulling the strings plus it has usmanov and corruption all over it
Too bad our board will just sign 2 players with premier league experiece 😂😅
I wonder which CZcamsr will be a football manager first? Probably you
Hey, you need to do the job at Everton of bringing in new players. You have made more sense in 10 minutes than the idiots at Everton have done in the last 3 seasons. But knowing Everton, they probably won't even get one of them players and go for crap for more money than they have got and end up with nothing as usual.
Jim please do one for West Ham without rice to maintain and then do better in Europe and league
Gyokeres is NOT a Premier League quality player. Has been made to look a whole lot better than he actually is, he's at his ceiling and is a Good championship player at best... or possibly somewhere else in Europe
Cov fan so you could either take this as bias or familiarity; he is absolutely bottom half prem quality. Not sure why you think he's been made to look anything considering almost every goal he scored this season was fashioned by himself. Not the best finisher but that's coachable, excellent dribbler and amazing physicality. Will admit though nobody's a guarantee to adapt straight away and might struggle at first if a sole 9
Jesus Christ this lads trying to send us down, Rob bloody Holding for 10 million pounds. Any chance QPR want the trio of Holgate Keane and Godfrey for 50 million while we’re on silly street? 😂
Yeah Holding is crap lol. We need to aim a lot higher than these players.
The video should be called Rebuilding Everton in the Championship by 2025.....LOL
😐
glad i'm not an everton fan, this is so depressing lol
Do a video on Trent in midfield
Can you do one of these for westham
Bro is a championship/Bundesliga guru.
He ain't a Bundesliga guru if he was he'd know Baumgartner to Leipzig is almost done
