  • We discuss some of Everton Football Club's history in this video. We begin with the club's location, home ground, and founding story. We then discuss the club's nicknames (the Blues and the Toffees), crest, and important events. And we close with discussing noteworthy players, managers, and stats/records.
The video is not all-encompassing but it hopefully provides some interesting information about Everton FC.

As commenter @Luke Howard points out below, we missed mentioning Harry Caterick as an important manager for the club. Caterick won 2 league titles and an FA Cup in his time in charge at Everton. Caterick collected more top flight points than any other manager in the 1960s decade, which was incredibly impressive given other legendary managers like Bill Shankly, Don Revie, Matt Busby and Bill Nicholson managed at this time. Additionally, he was instrumental in rejuvenating Everton's previous nickname & methodology coined the School of Science.
For more information about Caterick, check out these sources:
    - www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-fc-great-harry-catterick-8176505
Additionally, Luke highlighted that an additional historical nickname or methodology applied to Everton FC was the School of Science. For more information about that nickname & methodology, check out this video from Everton FC:
Thanks Luke for bringing this to our attention!

The rivalry has always been there my friend although Bolton were considered the biggest local rivals in the early days ,friendly because fans from both clubs are related with brothers sons daughters and mums and dads from the same families supporting one or the other . You really need to mention mr harry caterick and his wonderful side from the 1960's with alan ball forming a midfield trio with kendall and harvey known as the holy trinity . Also a little known fact that when Dixie scored his sixty he scored 20 with his head ,20 with his left and 20 with his right making it the perfect 60.

Couple of corrections needed, Dean completed his 60 goals in May 1928 not 1927, and Gary Lineker was only with Everton one season 1985-1986 and not "a few". He missed out on both the 1985 and 1987 championships. Still not bad for a yank (but scousers know best!).

I highlighted Southall as the club's all-time appearance holder and clean sheet record holder. And another user pointed out my big miss by not including Harry Catterick. I have a featured comment providing more details on him.

Hey Gabe! Thanks so much for checking out the video. Both Everton and Arsenal have played matches in the lower divisions, though it hasn’t been for decades.
Everton have been relegated on 2 occasions for a total of 4 seasons spent outside the top flight. You can find more info here: www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/have-everton-ever-been-relegated-13969661
Additionally, while Arsenal have never been relegated from the first division under their current name, they spent the first 30+ years of existence bouncing between the first and second divisions (as well as other leagues) under the name Woolwich Arsenal. You can find more info here: www.arsenal.com/history/laying-the-foundations

You made no reference to latchford or ball? while rooney is mainly a manure legend.
Toffees hate reds, there's no friendly rivalry with them, in manchester, london or birmingham there are families who support diferent clubs; so your argument is plain b*llocks.
