I have a family member (quite distant, on my grandfathers side) who played for chelsea as a defender from around 1969-1978, family have supported them since, he also played for Ireland internationally

I mean yh u were winning trophies whilst man u was still doing that but ur first 2 efl titles only the second one man u was 2nd out of it and the rest came after man city became a thing and then it became 3 clubs getting trophies at the same time and man u would be hating city over Chelsea at that same time aswell and u should've been hating city more because the lyrics were replicating what u did and was more of a threat then man u of which was always eventually going to stop being so dominant, just like liverpool and arsenals era went aswell as man u's 1st era under busby. I mean yh I get the whole '2008 cl final' and all that but is that rly enough to hate man u over liverpool? I mean we all know ur history with Liverpool in the last 15 yrs

And our title win was in 1955 and we have a huge rivalry with Leeds dating back to right before 1970 fa cup final, and nothing said about Matthew Harding, or how we got our colours, or the holliganism of the 70’s and 80’s unfortunately, or thanks to this being made in 2018 another fa cup, new record sale was Eden Hazard for £130 million, record signing is Romelu Lukaku for £97 million and that we won the champions league again in 2021
Let’s completely skip over the 1970 FA cup win and the subsequent UEFA Cup Winner’s Cup win.
