I have been blessed to have seen many of the greatest vocalists in the world perform live - in opera, cabaret, jazz, Broadway, soul, all genres, all styles in/from dozens of countries. But watching Shirley Bassey own the stage and pour out her perfect voice over the lucky few at Carnegie Hall right around the time of this recording still stands as one of the best vocal performances I've *ever* seen. Bravo Diva!!

When time comes to pass and they write about this period of human life on earth it will be known as the Golden Era when artists such as Shirley Bassey lived, performed and shone with real unearthly talent, when ability wasn't Computer Graphic Imagery, voices were not digitally processed. When music was real. To have known the difference. The applause between the songs and at the end says it all. Incredible, out of this world, performance from a true star at the top of her God given talent that transfixed me for 1:24hrs. Thank you for placing the video here Debra.

The Italian song that she re-titled from Grande Grande Grande to Never Never Never is from the great Italian singer Mina. A song beautiful that is full of love and passion. Great rendition Shirley. You are in a class or should I say a league of your own. You are indeed a gift to humanity. Hats off also to the great musicians that bring her songs to life.

I've watched this video many times over, as I have the other ones of Dame Shirley's concerts. This by far is my favorite and I believe it's the best in terms of her repertoire, her voice sound more amazing and powerful by the good acoustics, and of course her beauty which is timeless. She's no doubt one of the best, if not the best, female singers of all time. I've loved her since I first heard As I Love You and I was about 15 years old at the time. I've loved her then, and love her to date. Thank you to the fans who have posted videos of the great DSB!❤️❤️❤️
My mother (91)has just passed away and was a huge fan, we went together to see her at Knebworth in 2001. We have included the way we were in her music selection for her funeral service. Listening to this archive is so comforting, and reminds of both Mam and what a fantastic talent Shirley is.💕💕

Wow, My Way and This is My Life, it doesn't get much better. So many memories surrounding these two songs, mom came home from the hospital, saw Lana Cantrell sing My Way, and she also sang TIML. And even though she passed, she loved SB and I still do. My God, magnificent. Whitney was great, Lana was great, KD Lang was great, but this woman, she just has to sing one word and I burst into tears. And My Way, oh the memories it brings, even to the present. What a voice, Shirley Bassey has, had and thanks for posting.

Wow I believe this is the Iconic concert of DSB. In 1987 was the year she got her voice back with training. She lost her voice because the death of her daughter. Wow what can I Say this was the comeback concert. I'm so glad she got trained. One of the greatest female singers of all time
