O was cabin boy on the Heysham to Belfast ferry April 1955, I made a cup of tea for this girl with long red fingernails; this was the first time I came across Shirley Bassey

My dad's an architect and one of his clients invited him to this performance.
Now, my dad is not a traditional Bassey Fan (he's into Bob Dylan, Clapton, etc.) but he said this was (and still is) the most incredible concert he's been to.
This concert was televised by BBC Wales then released on DVD and VHS. It's such a pity they did not show the concert in full the way she did it on the night. I was there. It was fantastic.
