You are dead right . I have seen most singers live . They are all good in there own way but I have to say apart from Whitney Houston she was awfull when I saw her she has a great voice but plays around with song nothing like you expect . Shirley always delivers have see her 4 times live never disappoints always delivers and has a very powerful voice. I miss those days. Thankfully we have Utube.

Shirley is without a doubt the greatest singer and entertainer of ALL TIME!. You can see that the audience can't seem to get enough of her and keep applauding her even midway through most of the songs. What a performer...truly amazing!!

One of the women who influenced DSB was Judy Garland. You can see it in her performances. Check out on youtube her concert at Proms 2009. She is at her best live. Singers today need a special mike and some just can't sing live. Of course, Garland at Carnegie Hall is the very best performance of a live singer.

Up there with the biggest international stars of all time greats. Shirley Bassey invented a unique style that can never be replicated. The camera crew on this show however, need lessons. Great show though.

Shirley Bassey is absolutely tremendous and a great inspiration to me personally. Not in her private life but within her public performing life. Personally and in her marriages she wasn't successful, did not know the laws of marital success, found only in the Bible, which shows us how to have successful, happy marriages, as well as how to live, however as a public performer "she was it". One of the best, one of the greatest and one of the most inspirational Performers. Possibly ---- the most. The, gestures, movements, costumes-dress, face, hair, voice to etc etc. FAN ---- TASTIC.
I could think of only one other Performer that might be able to eclipse her. Mirusia Louwerse. A trained soprano with the voice of an angel. Ten out of ten looks to with the most striking hair and eyes. Becoming famous through Andre Rieu to going on to become globally successful. Wonderful gestures, emotionally powerful performances, a voice of the most purest finest quality to glorious onstage costumes. I've seen her personally and she is the Greatest Soprano. Probably, Shirley Bassey's voice as being more powerful but Mirusia's voice to probably being more pure. More refined to more sophisticated. Nevertheless the voice of Shirley Bassey has had an enormous impact on me. Particularly her movements to gestures that are so so absolutely striking. Ie in her fingers to hands alone. Very Strong and very Sexy Performer. But the voice of Mirusia Louwerse is more lovely to beautiful to more refined. Also very very strong however between them I enjoy them very very much. Possibly the two greatest Performers. Each stunning in their own way. Shirley Bassey ten out of ten to Mirusia Louwerse ten out of ten. Exceptional ---- people. Along with also Barbara Streisand, Sarah Brightman, KATHERINE JENKINS, Charlette Church, Jackie Evancho to etc etc.
But possibly the two greatest as being Shirley Bassey and Mirusia Louwerse. Louwerse newer but having an Incredible Impact upon the operatic world. She also sings in other genres and isn't just opera but possesses a Versatile Range. Age, 36, trained within the Brisbane Queensland Conservatorium of Music to is ---- Professionally Trained.
