Got to see these guys back in the 70's, In those days lasers were just brand new, ELO was the first band I saw that used them, bouncing them around the concert hall, and of course there was also "magic" wafting in the air, making the experience even better in my opinion of course, but just being there when they played "that one song" you've been waiting for, and then, Strange Magic starts, and the crowd erupted...wow...what a night! Rock On

Oh my...what a fantastic rabbit hole to go down! ELO has SO many great songs to listen to! Evil Woman, Mr. Blue Sky, Showdown, Tightrope, Telephone Line...OOH- and Fire on High- which is a FANTASTIC instrumental. Orchestral rock at it's finest. Their concerts were a treat to the eyes and ears! Jeff Lynne (the lead singer) is also the guy singing with Tom Petty in the R&R Hall of Fame tribute to George Harrison that Prince also plays on. And if you've listened to Traveling Wilbury's he's one of them members.

They were so underrated when George Harrison from the Beatles died Jeff Lynne who is the singer of elo sang with some of the best singers in the world like Tom Petty Billy Preston Eric Clapton Prince they did a tribute. Jeff Lynn's voice has so much range and that sound you were mentioning is when they go high and low on the struts of the guitar I have seen a cover band do it and it's crazy amazing. You should do your reaction to some of their other songs also like evil woman it's a living thing. I love your reaction you have the same reaction I have every time I listen to them.

    Thanks gorgeous!
Jeff Lynne, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, the creative force and voice of Electric Light Orchestra, is such an underappreciated composer of the last 60 years. His longevity, diversity and continuing creativity is testament to his genius.
His catalog with ELO is epic enough. But his work with The Traveling Wilburys, literally a SUPERGROUP, including Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, George Harrison, and Bob Dylan, further clarifying his versatility and artistic talent.
His work behind the scenes as producer include all 15 of the ELO charting singles and with legends like Sir Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Tom Petty, Ringo Starr and Joe Walsh... to name a few.
The next EPIC song of his...
    Fire On High!!!

❤️ you are so cute! Everything you said and felt is how I feel about ELO and Jeff Lynne’s brilliant talent and ability to construct a masterpiece of sound which leaves the listener usually in awe. Your reaction is pretty much emblematic of that. I could suggest so many other ELO songs to you, but, you’re going to be rewarded pretty much any you select because Jeff Lynne is a genius in my opinion. I’ve always found it so interesting that in an interview during the mid to late 70s when ELO were really hitting their stride, in an interview, John Lennon was asked how he thought The Beatles might have evolved and sounded like had they stayed together and he said “ELO” (Electric Light Orchestra). That’s high praise if you ask me, and especially considering John Lennon was notoriously more likely to negatively comment on his own music and other as well (just ask Paul McCartney about that for proof! 😆)

A lot of ELO's stuff has those great aural effects, especially songs like "Evil Woman" from 1975. Their stage shows in the seventies were also really elaborate. They'd usually have the stage assembled to look like a huge UFO that they would come out of. That was kind of a seventies trend, though. Parliament did that, too.

A beautiful reaction to a goosebump, chill inducing magical delight that reaches parts that you didn't know you had. That's the magic of Jeff Lynne and E.L.O. Thank you for reacting to a gem among many treasures. Paul 👍😊

As someone who as always enjoyed many different type’s of music it’s nice to see people discover good music and enjoy it….Regardless if it was released in 1976.
    Cheers!

1970- 1986 original band, many hits and number 1 rock band in my opinion,im biased a bit as im english,he came back in 2000 for the zoom tour but didnt last so took time out till 2013 when Jeff Lynnes ELO formed, they sound as good today as they ever were........

Sweet talkin' Woman is a great song. I grew up listening to them. Jeff Lynne did the soundtrack to the movie "XANADU". B side type of movie. Decent flick.

Those chills you get are the universal connection that music can deliver! Glad you felt it!

Another beautiful, but sadly underrated, song by ELO that still gives me chills is "Moment in Paradise" from the album "Zoom" which admittedly was more of a Jeff Lynne solo album, but still an amazing piece of music from the master of melody.
