Absolutely, great comment. At least 20 years. Jeff Lynn is magic. He produced the Beatles Abby road album. Then produced pink Floyds album. Dark side of the moon. And half dozen others. Then became a traveling willburry.
When I was younger, we all hung out at the skating rink on Saturday nights. There was a Moonlight Skate where a boy would ask you to hold hands and skate with him. The disco ball was spinning, very low colored lights and skating slowly holding a boy’s sweaty hand. And it was strange magic. Such fond memories for me!! Thank you for bringing that memory back!

Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra from The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame site: "Picking up where the Beatles left off, ELO expanded the concept of great melodies, epic song structures and grand orchestrations. ELO added an exciting mix of elements into rock and roll, including disco rhythms and electronic studio wizardry. Imagine a marriage of tuneful, rocking pop songs with instruments from the symphonic realm, and you’ve got the blueprint for what made ELO one of the most popular groups of the 1970s and beyond. Jeff Lynne, ELO’s vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, co-founder, and frontman, conceived of a rarefied musical sphere in which cellos coexisted with guitars, and where classically tinged progressive rock intersected with hook-filled, radio-friendly pop. The result: ELO’s boundary-breaking approach to rock that resonated with a global audience, both as a pop singles act and as album-oriented rockers with deep-track appeal".

Twilight is great too, especially when you add the intro.
Time is an amazing album for the quintessential ELO sound and that each song on the album builds on the story .... once you start listening you have to finish to know how it all turns out....
Talk about getting the ladies with ELO, watch them do Telephone Live from Wembley here on CZcams and you will ask no further what a guys best go to ELO tune was.
One of the best concept albums of all time. Pun intended.
Last Train To London is a great song by ELO and is on their 1979 album Discovery. Don t Bring Me Down is also on that album.
Thanks for doing these! Jeff Lynne and ELO are so under appreciated! Produced for that Beatles, Roy Orbison, George Harrison and so many others but he was only just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year- Finally, but long overdue!
Check out Roll Over Beethoven by ELO in concert, they paid homage to Mr Chuck Berry and just added their own vibe.
Absolutely awesome!
E. L. O. each letter is how we say it. 🙂
what I always liked about ELO is their music has a haunting quality... jeff lynn is pure genius.. Its a pleasure seeing someone enjoy the music I grew up on
Oh this brings me back!! I loved or love ELO!! They were so amazing. Bev Bevan is one of my Fav Drummers...he was so underrated.
“Can’t Get It Out Of My Head” is another classic ELO
Such a magical group and song! Can’t beat a song that tells a story AND takes you on a journey. 🚀🌙💕
How much of today's music can you move to like you do? Lol. Love hearing these older sings I grew up on. Saw ELO at my high school auditorium. Big place! They were fantastic 😍
This song! This melody! The vocals! Forever greatest!
Your managers all need to get on the same page with the music! Love this song! Love Jeff Lynne's voice. He was later in a band called the Traveling Wilburys, with Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, George Harrison (and Jeff Lynne). Can't get much better than that! Oh, btw don't forget to react to Tower Of Power (from their album East Bay Grease) and do Sparkling In The Sand and You're Still A Young Man. Thanks, Jamal!
And again try Traveling Wilburys Roy Orbison Jeff Lynne from this group Tom Petty George Harrison and Bob Dylan
Jeff Lynne was asked by Harrison to produce the Wilburys.... he then went on to produce the only Beatles recording after Lennons death. Jeff is musically superb.
Tom Petty by himself will be a DEEP rabbit hole.
One of the best groups to ever be!
Love this song! The strings are amazing and that harmony kills it❤
Oh ya my favorite ELO song. Love the strings, Heavenly!!!!
Love E L O
ELO 'A new world record' album, a must hear. "So fine" "living thing" "Above the Clouds" "Do Ya" "Shangri-La".
Mission is also superb 👍😊
Oooh, Shangri-La🤗
Jeff Lynne....just ethereal....his voice... incredible 💕💕💕💕
You are just such a marshmallow! 💖 I LOVE when you let yourself feel the harmonies... or the surprise of a high-pitch note... or the perfect chord... or the lyrics melt you. Music can do that to you... way down deep. 😍 Welcome to my world, Jamel/Jamal. 🤗
Someday I will introduce you to the music, harmonies, crazy chords, and lyrics of the goddess Joni Mitchell. But not yet. She's graduate school 😉
You just take your time... ✌🎶
