thank you. Great video. My son is working on his firs car a VZ Commodore 2005 Lumina. This video is so informative.
Mice get into everything at our place. Chewed wires are common and very frustrating.
    Thanks, Mark

Great video Mr Cassar. I'm so glad I've found your channel. Very informative and it's helping me a lot with my VS Executive with a converted L67 and T5 manual. I know they are a different engine but a lot of it is very similar. Cheers mate.👍👍

Thank you so much mate I really appreciate the beautiful comments and the support of you watching. There are so many similarities between the two though you are right. What goes for one goes for the other in a lot of instances. Thank you for your comment on the other video as well, I did see it, however, I’ve had to edit that video and make it private because I was not supposed to release until Saturday this week!

Is the fuel filter on backwards?

Was wondering if someone was going to make a comment on this!
We did actually notice this. With the commentary I guess we had a brain fart. But we spun the filter around so all good

at 5 mins 40 secs you are spraying fluid to clean up the oil. there are boots that run along to the wheel. My son's new second hand 2005 VZ Lumina has torn boots on both sides. How hard is it to replace them? Thanks Mark

How do I take the right side rocker cover of. The exact same car as this.

If by right side you mean the drivers side, then you will need to remove the brace that goes between the alternator and the top of the engine.
If it’s the passenger side, you will need to remove the intake pipe, accelerator cable (and cruise control cable if it has cruise), and then remove the bracket that the cables are attached to, which is held on with 3x 10mm nuts

The brake fluid tester your using is a unreliable method for testing moisture. They are a waste of time.

Hey mate, I bought one with 395,000km, coolant hadn’t been done since 125,000km and when I dropped it it was brown and muddy, is that a sign of engine rust or the coolant just spoiled and slugged up? No overheating just thought I should change it. Cheers mate

Hi mate. Unfortunately the neglect of not changing corn. Does Ross out the engine a bit internally. That’s what causes that brown muddy water. It’s not the end of the world, what you need to do is several flashes of the cooling system. So I would drain it, fill it with water, then run the engine until it gets up to operating temperature, and then drain it again. Repeat this process until the water becomes almost clear. Once you do that, you will most likely need to change hoses, water, pump, and thermostat. Dirty, muddy water in the cooling system destroys the blades on the back of the water pump. Once you do all of that, you can then fill the whole thing with fresh coolant and go from there. It’s Lachlan you might need to do in leprechaun gaskets to if they have not been done in awhile.

395k and not touched since 125k? These models are designed to leak everything. I find that very hard to beLieve. 🇦🇺👍🍺
