Love the content Mr Cassar. Love working on the Ecotec and Buick 3.8 V6. Everything is so basic to fix and nobody should have excuses about not doing oil and filter changes on these motors. It's so easy and quick to do. Keep the videos coming mate, I really enjoy your content. 👍👍

Thanks so much mate, really really means a lot. And you are too right man, it’s all straight forward stuff. But then again if everyone did it themselves I wouldn’t have a job!

I watched the time lapse of the harmonic balancer job, in slow motion. Great aspect of what to do. However, as a beginner at repairs my son and I found this pretty hard to work out what you were doing from the top down view. I'll go back over this with a manual I found on the Internet. I'd imagine these V6 commodores are very similar. The radiators seemed full of crud. How important it is to give them a clean or blow through with water/air/de-greaser? My son's VZ commodore had been driven over a dirt track for several years. There is a build up of dirt and little stones everywhere on the underside of the care. Bugger to work on until I get it guerneyed. Thanks for the video. No one does a full major service in one go. Very helpful.

Hey mate, just came across your channel. I recently bought a 2004 Holden Commodore Ute with the 3.8L V6. Do you know what kind of gear oil is used on the rear end as it has the limited slip differential?

Welcome to the channel mate and thanks for watching.
If it had an LSD I normally use the Penrite 85W/140 lsd gear oil. Penrite also do a small bottle of LSD additive called ‘limslip’. Comes in a small black and purple bottle, and it’s about 60ml.
The gear itself already has lsd additive in it, but I find the commodore LSD clutches really benefit from have the extra additive. Not essential to put it in, but I recommend it.
      Good luck!

Awesome appreciate the information! I'm located in Brisbane, is there good company's that make aftermarket parts for these cars for Suspension or like Coil Pack upgrades for the 3.8L V6?@@cassarindustries_wheelwerk

Cheers mate, got the parts today to service the diff and other stuff. Where abouts are you ordering parts for the Commodore? Ebay or local like Supercheap Auto? @@cassarindustries_wheelwerk
