Sony has been attempting to attract some of Spider-Man success in the MCU by released several Spider-Man-Adjacent movies like Venom and Morbius in the past few years. Now Madame Web joins that list of movies that exist.
Madame Web definitely raises some questions. Like why is there so much spider-teasing? What’s the deal with the bad guy’s voice? How did Cassandra fly to Peru when wanted for kidnapping? Did she really decide to leave three kids in the woods? How did this movie get made?
To answer all these questions, check out the pitch meeting that led to Madame Web!

I like how they literally created a movie so that u could make a pitch meeting about it
More people will watch this than the movie.
I like how we've literally forgotten the meaning of the word "literally"
@@lonewandererfo3 I love how people think literally the most insignificant things are important problems.
@@Arigator2 when you got a heavy life, it helps focusing on insignificant things now and then...But I guess you have no idea

Can't believe Sony spent millions of dollars just so you could have the BEST pitch meeting ever, how nice of them!
I had exactly the same thought! LOL!
This is absolutely the best one so far, yes
He hasn't yet had a bad one, but this is definitely one of the best!
Honestly, didn’t even know Sony was doing this. Was focused on Helldivers 2. Honestly after this, I’m going to keep playing Helldivers 2 over watching this movie. Seems like a better use of my time.
Once he asked how the lead got out of the amazon and the pitcher says "Amazon prime, I don't care" I realized this is worth the 90 million they wasted on that movie. lol
"I guess it's Amazon Prime, IDC" was hilarious 😂
Lol the delivery made it so damn good 🤣🤣
I heard that and f**king died. I was on my break at work too so everyone's looking at me like I finally had the mental breakdown everyone suspects I'm going to have. Not realizing that I've already had it and live in a world of madness. XD

The "Spoilers Ahead" was a little unnecessary for a movie no one will watch.
True
Except a lot of people are starting to watch it... because it's so absolutely terrible that it's funny. It's kind of like one of those Mystery Science 3000 flicks.
The way Hollywood is going, Ryan should have a lot of material to work with in the future... which is great for us.
I watched it twice, and had a blast both time. The movie isn't just bad, it's unhinged. Writing, acting, sound design, editing, cinematography, every single aspect of it is a terrible, delicious failure. 1/10, I highly recommend
i fell asleep several times during the bootleg. after 4 days of watching, i can say this is definitely the best worst film i've seen in a long time

Your words are HURTFUL, but entirely true.

Pitch Meeting rule-of-thumb: The worse the movie, the better the Pitch Meeting.
This Pitch Meeting was one of the best.
The worse the movie is, the sooner we get a pitch meeting.

With everyone dunking on this movie, I feel like you could have phoned this one in and still got decent views. But between stuff like Miss Leading, the Amazon prime shipping joke, and the constant demotion of Four Shadowing, this has to be one of the best written Pitch Meetings. Great job, Ryan!
Ah, excellent intro, 3-point construction and conclusion. Homework done.

The one part of this movie that I think you forgot to cover in this pitch meeting was the fact that nobody at the airport reported her stolen taxi with the license plates ripped off for the entire week she was gone. She is just allowed to grab it like it’s nothing.
That little excited clap at 2:38 is probably my favourite joke in a video tht already is laden with absolute gold.
UPDATE
Cratch that, "three-shadowing" just pipped it to the post.
The best part of Madam Web is that we got a Pitch Meeting from it.
And I hope that no one in their right mind goes to see it before they've seen Pitch Meeting and subsequently shrug off the idea of ever watching it.
And now I don’t have to watch the film 😊
I’ve seen a few videos of people talking about watching it in theaters and the audiences were laughing the entire time.

Hi Ryan,
With the impending arrival of your baby, you asked for some older movies you could do pitch meetings for. I was thinking Dantes Peak and Volcano would be good ones for you.
Also, what about Crocodile Dundee?
I also wanted to let you know how much I love this channel and your other skits as well. You're pure joy and genius!
Dundee would be great. It's great by itself, also it's a silly 80ies kind of a movie, it's about the upside-down-land, and there's several of them.
Great opportunities there. Perhaps even a collab with some antipode. Maybe film the Australian upside-down, that would be challenging to rig up but very rewarding, he-he
"-like she does it on a canvass?" - Bravo mate
"I believe the term is 'female-led', not 'MISS-Leading'." - Perhaps the most brilliant line Ryan George has come up with to date!
Although the "Amazon Prime? I dunno." line is very highly ranked as well, IMO! (lots of top tier lines in this one)
Great work Ryan!

How many people are watching this again from the hishe video?
So satisfied that he addressed the peruvian people shipping her back to the US like it's no big deal, all the other videos I saw totally glossed over that (but they had a million other plot holes to talk about so it's ok tbh)
I hated the similar plot hole in Ark knight rises where Batman miraculously heals his broken spine in days and seemingly instantly teleports to Gotham where he takes time to set up a burning bat signal before acting.
The rest of the movie I liked, but that bit killed the immersion for me.
« Well, you know….that’s famously untrue. »

When I was about 8 years old, I wrote a story that ended with them luring the Big Bad into a fireworks factory and blowing it up... I think that speaks volumes about the mental capacity of the writers of Madame Web...

Was it taken from real life?
Don't put yourself down. Maybe you are a genius screenwritter.

I will never understand why Sony in particular, loves to remix the "with great power comes great responsibility' line, even in the Amazing Spider-Man movies, it made no sense why they didn't just say it, instead of that unnecessary word salad we got. Like just say the line, Its a famous line heavily associated with Spider-Man, we all know this, just say the damn line,
Hollywood being absolutely horrendous at their jobs has really been a boon for Ryan.
