6:30 The truck locked up his brakes because he saw the cammer speeding toward a collision. It was obvious that the trucker was merging and that he had to get over because the merge lane is short. The cammer could have slowed a bit to let the truck in. Why blame the other guy for your entitled BS?

@@switchsinner Don't understand how semis work? The truck has it floored. He weighs between 32,000 and 80,000 pounds. You don't get racecar acceleration out of a truck. Garbage highway engineers poorly construct highway entry ramps and then you have trucks at the end of the ramp doing barely 30mph because there's not enough ramp to go faster than that and in some cases there's nowhere to go at the end of the ramp except in to the road or in to the wall.
@@switchsinner Yeah, trucks have a lot of gears to change through. it's not possible to zip on into the lane. Especially when someone is going 60 on a blind corner.

6:44 Tiny bit of a tough call here since technically the semi is required to yield to existing traffic but honestly Ritchie should have been slowing down way before the semi hit their brakes. The semi braked because they saw Ritchie coming flying up in their mirror.

6:50 - Did his brakes just completely fail? Even the erratic swerving early on looks like he's trying to slow down and hops the curb to avoid hitting anyone. He never looks like he's braking even at the end when he seemingly comes to a stop pulling into a parking lot.

Likely the US, which means it wouldn't be enforced even if the lady'd lost her license. There's thousands of drivers without licenses and millions without insurance or proper maintenance, and ...nobody (in a position to do anything) cares.

Based on my own experience in video editing this is most likely an exporting issue. The clips were placed, but due to bad internet, faulty ram, or something else, the frames loaded in in the wrong order and got scrambled.

@@jadenfrancis5469 This is just a guess, but maybe those turn lanes are long to allow turning traffic to "stack up" for a while? The intersection probably gets heavy traffic during certain times of the day and we're just not seeing it in this clip.
Again, just a guess, but it's the only thing that makes sense to me.
@@dashcamandy2242 That's more than likely the possibility. But they don't need to be that long, especially if people are going to have to make turns earlier on like the CR-V driver did in this clip.
Also, the paint on the road seemed pretty faded. With the sun low it might be hard to see there's another turning lane on the left.
Sure the turning car chose the wrong lane and the road layout is bad, but the cammer is an idiot for ignoring their turn signal and putting themselves in a position to be hit. The risk was obvious and the smart thing to do is fix the other driver's mistake by staying behind them, not make it worse by driving into the space they're turning in.

Nobody was "camping in the fast lane", it's called a PASSING lane and he was passing. The brake check was a bit much though.
One of my friends recently got into a hit and run accident with a young man in high school. My friend chased the guy down, and the guys excuse was that he was a new driver and a senior in high school. My friend said: "okay, and? You're driving like the other kind of senior" And I found it kind of mean when he told me but also kind of hilarious
