That guy; I knew they were gona do that.
He says as he continues to do nothing but hold his horn down for a further 7 seconds.
"I knew they were gonna do that" and that's why he decided to speed up as the vehicle was merging to make a scene out of it

@@TheSh4dowgale not disagreeing with that part…literally see people not signalling on a daily basis and it’s extremely annoying and yes sometimes dangerous. This wasn’t a dangerous situation at all. I could understand a quick beep of a horn, but this driver was way over the top

@@the80sboy3280 Yeah, guy shouldn't have merged without signaling. That was inconsiderate. What's also inconsiderate is making an obnoxious noise with your car for 20 seconds straight because the guy made you hit the brakes a little bit.

10:32 The red van actually had plenty of room and the cammer had plenty of time to not speed up lol (while having the audacity to claim "they saw it coming") . Yes the red van should have signaled, but wow, the cammer way over-reacted. Holding the horn for that long is just obnoxious, and you are just becoming a distraction to other drivers thus making the driving conditions even more dangerous and increasing the likelihood of an accident occurring. The horn is supposed to be used as a warning to prevent an accident, not a tool to exercise one's ego and anger. If he just did a simple honk, that would have been fine. The cammer should have his horn taken away from him or at least somehow have a limit to how long he can hold it for before it shuts down. (or better yet, probably take an anger management class before driving again).

Ah gotta love the ends of these videos. There's always someone who reacts to a merging vehicle by speeding up and then honking at them for 30 seconds like they are the one that caused traffic to be so tight.
1:34 Even tho they could have turned into the closest lane to them, they still shouldn't even turn at all until it's clear. People tend to change lanes in an intersection and this being a two lane road, it's best to just wait until it's clear of traffic before turning.

I thought 40 seemed low too. It would've been even more dramatic had they not hit a Jeep with off road suspension and higher center of gravity that essentially absorbed the majority of the impact and bounced out of the way.

What's the point of being an attentive " good " driver when you take zero steps to avoid the accident you saw coming. . Some people just love being up on the high horse so much they're willing to go through the hassle of waiting for cops , dealing with insurance , getting their car fixed etc etc rather than touching their brake pedal and moving on with their day . I'm convinced these garmenites would step into a crosswalk even though a log truck is barreling down on them simply because they have the right of way

Even if the closest lane was available, they absolutely shouldn't make the turn until it's completely safe. Intersections often witness abrupt lane changes, especially on this two-lane road. It's wiser to wait for a clear passage before attempting the turn.
It appears that so many of these accidents could be avoided had the driver had their foot on the brake while moving thru an intersection or literally just looked around in anticipation of someone making a mistake. Of course none of us were there so I don’t know for sure, but that’s what I take away from most of these videos.

I think for the second clip with the car driving away with flashing hazards, it's actually a safety feature for them to come on automatically in some cars after impacting something (such as rear-ending the cammer's car). This also tells the police reviewing the footage exactly which car driving away was at fault in the accident a minute prior, instead of relying on assumption and word-of-mouth when the incident itself wasn't captured by the front camera.

This is a great "ad" for good dash cams. If your dash cam is not good enough to read all license plates at night, you have a 💩 and need one that has better night vision. In those cases where your dash cam can't read the hit-and-run drivers' license plate, you will need to call your insurance to fix your car, and guaranteed your rates will go up. All P&C insurers have something like a credit report, which shows all your claims over a certain number of years, meaning if you have collisions and your insurer had to pay, every insurer will know you are a higher risk than a person without a claim. More money out of your pocket!

with all the technology now, a dash cam should have excellent night vision and clarity. Probably some out there like that, but most people want the cheapest thing around, like Tesla does.
@@DeweyCheatumNHoweLLC if you're in the market for one, viofo makes fantastic quality cams. check to see if the one you look at includes a Circular Polarizing Lens, if not you'll want to buy it from them also ($15), makes a HELL of a difference. regardless, saying the plate out loud is never a bad idea.
I should point out that even the best cams these days can struggle with the backwash of LED lights off license plates, especially in the right conditions. A trend I've been noticing on these compilations lately. No matter how good your cam is (or isn't) always read aloud the offending license plate. More than once.
