  • I've really struggled with lighting in my little single garage workshop. You might think a small space is easy to light but, when filled with tools and machinery, it leads to many dark corners!
    These LED workshop and garage lights I found on Banggood proved an immediate improvement. No standing back to see if I can notice any difference. It was just much much brighter! No doubt about as you'll hopefully see in the video. Thanks to having several adjustable or deformable leaves to partner the 7600 lumens, I'm happy to report there's no more dark corners in the shop!
    It feels like industrial levels of lighting you might get in a factory. In terms of improvement to my lighting then, I'm completely sold.
    Thank to Banggood for supplying this light for purposes of review.
    Below there's a link to my actual light. I'll also link a broader search result for workshop lighting that'll give you all the options available at Banggood that might best suit your space.

    Cheers for this, mine arrived the other day. I wired a socket with a hook on it to a lead and 3pin plug. I can now use it in the workshop and my loft... cheers again

    Love it, I’m a lighting tech by trade and that’s one hell of a difference. Nice work mate.

      Crazy the difference from the same central bulb holder. I probably could have got away with a 60w 2-leaf one tbh!

    Looks like a great bit piece of kit. I've got LED bars in my shed and one's on its last legs...

      Makes so much difference working in this light. Should've addressed it ages ago! Hopefully it lasts a while. I probably could've got away with a 60w 2 leaf version in my small space tbh. Might apply to your shed too if you're considering one👍

    I decided to give these a go a while ago for my dark dingy shop, and the light it threw off was simply amazing. In truth, having that amount of light coming down at me from above has been a bit much, and I have been experimenting with various kinds of shade, something to diffuse the brightness without reducing illumination too much. Have tried McGyver-ed rice paper baffles, as well as various thicknesses of mesh fabric, haven’r found the sweet spot yet. But what a difference - especially if one is a bit mole-like and very shortsighted to begin with. What a world we live in! Cheers 🇨🇦

      @BischBaschBosch  Před 4 měsíci

      I think for work, I'm pretty happy with the brightness. I might have try a few things like yourself to diffuse a bit for filming though.

    Brilliant! Spot on, glad you finally saw the light. Put these in my shop and garage a couple of years ago. My wife call my shop the "Light House" now, and I can see things in the garage. I've had to replace most of the first one I bought as the electronics in the lights didn't like the temperature ext reams. I'd get panels failing one by one till the unit stopped working. And the one in the middle of my shop at the top of the roof will come unscrewed during the summer months now and then. Would I buy them again, Oh YEAH!!!

      Thanks for the comment mate. That's the only thing for me - how will it hold up? Hopefully a while. I wouldn't be against attempting a transformer swap if it needs it at some point🤞

  • @WoodworkJourney

    Good stuff! I had a pair similar but they didn’t have the heat sync and died after a bit, yours looks much more industrial. Just a suggestion as well, if you have to use the Bosch again, pointing it to the ceiling will give a nicer diffused light rather than burning your retinas

    • @BischBaschBosch
      @BischBaschBosch  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yet to see if these last mate. I hope so! Unfortunately, the bosch does nothing much pointed at the ceiling I think if they allowed me to white wash the place (they won't) that would've worked a treat though. Still, this new thing works much better👍

  • @dwalsh3469
    @dwalsh3469 Před 4 měsíci

    That’s great value. I put up led panel lights initially using the Proper DIY method of plugging into a mains socket. I just glued wood with L-brackets to the flat garage roof to hold the panels. I would definitely have just used a couple of your ones had I known they existed, and at that price point.

    • @BischBaschBosch
      @BischBaschBosch  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I've toyed with the idea if panel lights for ages, diffused like Peter Millards - quickly disrmountable for when I get property inspections😂 Wish I'd found these lights sooner though. Epic amount of light. Probs be a nightmare for filming but great to work by!👍

      Also, you can get bayonet to screw conversion fittings. They are a bit ugly for inside the house, but no problem (for me at least) in a garage workshop. @@BischBaschBosch

    Does it actually draw 80w on 240v?
    Would be very interesting to see its actual draw vs its rating.
    They're very rarely accurate

    • @BischBaschBosch
      @BischBaschBosch  Před 4 měsíci

      Thats a good question. Being variable voltage, it could be 80w at 240v but more at 110v - or vice versa. I just read out the stats as they were on the product page. I have a smart meter in a drawer somewhere. Might be able to get an idea from that.

    With less thanks 100Lumen/Watt this lamp is state of the Art from late 00 years. Even the cheapest Lighttube-replacment has much better efficiency.
    We are actualy gooing towards 150 lm/W for realy good ones, avarge should be around 120lm/W. Everything less thanks that is just made up garbage, produced with what was broomed together one the factory-floor an engeneered by some shimpanses in their leusuretime.
    Yes it is brighter thanks your current lightbulb, but it is not as brighter as it should be.

      @@BischBaschBosch You mentioned that other/more Lights are no options due to your landlord. So this is an easy and good enough fix. So if you are happy, thats fine for you. But it should be mentioned that this lamp is an example for "cheap badly copied chinese stuff".
      But there are for example screw/plug in adaptors which can be installed in a ceiling light fixture and have up to 6 sideway arms and on downwards. So you could in total install 7 lightsbulps with a slightly better result in terms of light/colour quality, light distribution and efficiency.
      this should in no way be an attack to you. i just think people are often not aware of what diffent light makes, specialy in windowless rooms. And i am not only talking about amounts of lights, but also quality in colour, flickerfree shadowcasting.
