- This video review is for Hasbro's generation one Transformers the movie reissue repaint of Decepticon Thundercracker. He is a shared exclusive between Hasbro Pulse and Wal-Mart. This version of Thundercracker is designed / painted to 1986 cartoon movie accurate , but does it pull off the look?

Thundercracker was my first Transformer when I was a kid and his design would turn out to be one of my least favorites but he still holds a special place in my heart. But the re-issues are just an absolute TRAVESTY. Like, I knew as a 6 year-old not to eat my Transformer pieces but not we're so goddamn afraid of everything.
Right, somehow children have become less intelligent while possessing much greater technological knowledge.

Great review! Perfectly encapsulates what I hate about this mold! I wish I had seen this before I bought one! Horrifically fiddly $35 POS!!! I never had any seekers as a kid and now I'm thanking the gods for that! Spray painted Leader-1s would've made for better seeker toys!

You are not kidding about not being able to find these as a kid. The only seeker I ever found back then was Thrust. It wasn't until I was in my 40's that I was able to get all of the original seekers as reissues.
Great review George think I prefer the original G1 colours over the movie colours and I miss the stickers as well. I never knew that the Megatron gun stored underneath the plane mind blown 🤯 thanks for the toy knowledge 👍🏼

The only ones that I have ever found in the store have been Starscream and Hot Rod…what gives Walmart? And those hideous weapons part. But my heart always goes out to G1

They're cool and at a decent price.
Got this and was so excited... wow, what a disappointment. They're trying to recreate the show's coloring, fantastic, just forgot to... have the wings in the correct position! How come no one has mentioned this? Crazy. Also, the missiles suck, and some quality of life improvements to make the massive kibble for this jet less is sorely lacking. At least it looks good in jet m..... how big is that gap? Wow. Might have to shave the pegs down? Really unsatisfied with this, unfortunately, I never had Thundercracker as a kid and was looking to gaze fondly over a cool figure. The face paint could be sharper too honestly, and the spray detail over the die cast nose beams is not great. Nice comparison to G1, thanks for that, good video!
I believe Takara's Missing Link G1 line will address all the flaws you mentioned, especially the wings being in the correct position in robot mode on the jets.
Those landing gears will store in the cockpit when you're not using them.

Pretty cool. Glad your paint job on the face worked out unlike Starscream! I got mine (along with Hound) but I haven't opened them........yet? Also, I'm not understanding why they're painting the fists instead of casting them.....probably manufacturer costs.

16:52 ...speaking of comics, the crossover TFs did with GI Joe had a rather ruthless scenario with a pilot flying inside thundercracker.
Cool, that's what I thought. I was to lazy to research it. Plus I feel like I'm faking it if it's not in my memory.
I think he looks better than the original 1984 version. But that's just me.

What’s wrong with hasbro? Why jazz and sideswipe are not in the transformers retro toyline? Let me guess: they are not popular or notable characters compared to the other autobots.
I think they are going in reverse order of the original releases. I'm sure we will get Jazz and Sideswipe.
