I’m sorry but I’ve also been detecting for over 30 years and a member of different clubs, and I’ve NEVER seen or heard anyone detecting with there machines setup like that.
So XP brief announced an upgrade kit for ORX and DEUS I owners to help them approach DEUS II performance apparently. I was on their website for a few days and now I can't find it. By someone confirmed they will be offering something in this realm. Interesting times! I'm looking at the XP lineup as well as the Minelab Manticore. Now we have to wait until June 18th to see what Garrett's "Storm" is all about. Good times to be a Metal Detectorist with all the competitive options coming our way !
Deus one full tones, hot pro, 31 k, brilliant my favourite ,the orx is a great machine in the two gold modes looking for nuggets as it is easier to ground balance the way it is set up .The 10x5 elip is an amazing coil on both machines. Where I am in Au I will often take the orx remote in my pocket when I am hunting for coins in my area as I come onto spots where nuggets can be found, because the orx ground balances easier in all metal than the deus . I just switch the deus off and turn on the orx on it is already linked to the coil it is so easy. The ORX is red hot on tiny gold nuggets , but I have got them on the deus using the hf coil in disc,as well as the x35 coil.We are spoilt here ,coins relics gold nuggets, but here's the spoiler alert tons of metallic trash.Thats why I use XP detectors 😮😊😊😊
I love my deus lite version, in coin hunting, most of time im using the hot program 18 freq, and 3 tones. Most of time the Deus im using in parks, woodland, and on the green grass, it's such a great machine, light weight and very easy to pinpoint. But in the field, im always going with a simplex, with 13 inch Detech coil, with this coil simplex is the beast in the fields, going so deep, all my silver coins, i found with the simplex, but the gold goodies, i was faund with the Deus 🙂
I learned something last night by accident.. To make a long story short the next time emi is driving you nuts just make one little change... Switch to Gmaxx program #5. EMI stops! and I went to almost full sensetivity... Gets deep too!! Not sure if it was just the soil I was in or what but it was amazing!!! I was in 14.4 KHZ with the round hf coil...
The 9" round HF coil is fantastic for an all around coil. The 5x9 coil does work great in high trash areas but if you want a coil that can do it all and can do it all very well the 9" round HF coil would be the coil to have. The HF coils have a very broad range of frequencies. The X35 coils may have more frequencies to choose from but the range in frequencies is not broad enough to make lots of difference. 5 or 10 khz change in frequencies does not tickle my fancy. When you can change your frequency by 30 or more khz that is when the different targets start coming out of the ground. Higher frequencies tend to be much less susceptible to EMI and mineralized soils. The Higher the frequencies the less depth you have on higher conductors such as copper and silver coins. The X35 9" is a much better performing coil in my hot soil than the X35 11". I would think if you have moderate soil in your area all coils will perform great.
i just got the ORX. Right now EMI is making the detector almost useless in my area. I do not have a problem with my Nox 800. Maybe its me I don't know. I have changed settings from some of suggestion i have seen on CZcams but no luck so far
I had so many problems with the EMI on the ORX too. Higher frequencies and lowering gain will minimize EMI. HF coils work much better than the X35 coils in EMI.
All my live dig videos with the Deus 1 are above 90 sensitivity. All my live dig videos with the Deus 2 are at 94 and above sensitivity. All my live dig videos with the Nokta Legend are at full sensitivity. Most my live dig videos with the Simplex are at full sensitivity. All the people who I hunt with....run full sensitivity. There are other settings other than sensitivity to attenuate interference.
I feel like binning my ORX, absolutely useless in trashy fields, great at picking out the canslaw but it seems to ring up bits of can from about 12 to 92, what can i do?
I bought the ORX, used it for 3 weeks and just struggled and struggled...after that 3 weeks I purchased the Deus 1 with the 9" round HF coil and have never looked back at the ORX. The ORX is limited to 3 tones and does not have fine tuning options like iron volume control, audio response, silencer or full tones. The fine tuning on the Deus has huge advantages over the ORX. If you know someone who has a Deus, borrow their remote and hunt with it a few days to see the big difference. Your coil and stem for the ORX will work with a Deus 1 remote. Good luck my friend!!
As a ham radio operator as well as detector fiend. I recommend you do a serious rfi check on your home. That level of emmisions isnt healthy to live in...just sayin
Detector must be silent. If you want techno music use boombox not detector. This is major mistake. Before doing videos you should read how to use detectors. And orx is great for gold. In some cases much better for gold than Deus 2. But thanks for video anyway. Now newbie’s can see how do not use detectors.
Anything the ORX can do....the Deus can do!! They both have the same coils. The Deus has lots more tonal options and finer discrimination than the ORX. The ORX is a 3 tone detector!!!
No one, in their right mind would even try and detect in that sort of Emi situation 😂
I detect in high EMI all of the time.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak you need to turn your sensitivity down
I’m sorry but I’ve also been detecting for over 30 years and a member of different clubs, and I’ve NEVER seen or heard anyone detecting with there machines setup like that.
Can we try that test on the ground? And who doesn’t adjust frequency?
Thanks for all your knowledge and test runs!
My pleasure!

Pretty good info. Glad I don’t have all that emi to contend with up here in the north

I have had similar results with both machines same as you.
The Deus HF elliptical is a beast man! Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter
Never encountered that much EMI on any beach in a house bound to get it
Beaches and fields have little EMI. Curb strips and yard permissions are brutal with EMI.
I very very rarely run into Emi like that on a hunt
I rarely do also. Curb strips and around buildings have horrible EMI.

I have been using the #5 program in full tones and it works great!!
It called crazy thinking outside the box , I do this shit all the time , much like u , 😂, great video makes people think ,
Thinking outside the box is what make this a fun hobby.
If you have x35 11 coil on xp deus would you get the coil you use in this video ?

put the sensitivity lower or try changing Frequency
I had so many problems with the EMI on the ORX too. Higher frequencies and lowering gain will minimize EMI. HF coils work much better than the X35 coils in EMI.
That is crazy! No one would ever hunt with sensitivity turned up in high RF area. Not sure what you are trying to prove here?

What is the best frequency for gold?
Higher frequencies (eg 40khz and higher)

no setup i think

Change the tone so the ring is a different tone.
Turn the sensitivity down
SUPERFREAK🤭
le deus 1 ne vau rien sur la plage l‘orx lui est superieur

Get real .
Only!!
Buy a nexus no emi simple and deeper
Shame it’s such a crap machine overall tho
Air test are stupide
This was an EMI test!! Air depth tests are stupid.
Amateur trying to make a video 😂
