Metal detecting I XP ORX wet sand top tips

- Some metal detectors do not work well on wet sand, this is because the salt in the sand gives a target signal just like a coin.
Here are some top tips showing you how to eliminate the salt using some important XP ORX features.
These are just my personal preferences and may not suit your style of hunting.

i just ordered one i live at the beach i also been doing gold prospecting xp sonya was informative when i had questions i wish i would of had enough cash to get the mi6 but i can save up for that and im interested in the water hunt kit

I noticed my sufla was beeping constantly but I had it set to disc from 10 and sensitivity too high dug a few holes nothing to show for it got an iron lid type thing looks old not complete circle and a ringpull looked bit older than modern

ORX Gold P1 = Deus Goldfield P10.
Under the Deus GB menu select Beach "YES", this is the same as SALT on the ORX
Do you get iron tones on deep targets in the wet sand, was detecting today with a vanquish 540 multifrequency and all targets i was getting a iron buzz going true everything did not dig most of them as i assumed it was iron now i not sure

clean them and hand in 20 each time with no problem

Sir- can this ORX be used under salt water. Say 2 ft or so? Will it be effective or would a PI metal detector be best for this application? If PI, could you recommend 3 choices from $800. To $1700. Thanks Tim
I just bought an ORX. Gardan makes it look easy. How does a beginner know to change all those settings? How do you know what seatings to change? Thanks
If you are new to the machine and searching inland I would suggest just use coin fast and make no adjustments.
If you are searching the beach just activate the SALT mode explained in the video.

on Miami Beach. Should I be using the gold program as you just demonstrated.

Adjust reactivity don't go below 27 GB on wet sand, perhaps go slightly above.

Im using that sand tips on gold mode. But Gary i have one question, why your not using 30khz in beach, its more for small gold things. you are using 14khz because then its more stable or more deep? :)
There are no set parameters, use what frequency that suits you.

Hi Gary Great video as always. Which coil would be most versatile for general use looking for coins and jewelry plus some relics some heavy iron sites?Detector that I have intrest in is ORX X35 9in or 9in round HF. Thanks for your input everyone!!
Coils are all personal choice, and there are no specific rules.
My personal preference is the 9"(22cm) round HF.

Hello Gary!! Gold program with salt mode works inland?? At air tests salt mode is very very stronger.. Why is this happens?
The Gold mode uses less filtering these filters can effect performance.

Not for diving as the control box is not waterproof.

Hello Gary. Tell me please, what is threshold for? How to use it?
It's only in the Gold program. Threshold is a background hum while you are detecting, so you can easily hear ground changes.
@@The-skillschool What happens to the background hum if there is a good target under the coil? I’ve been going with ORX for a year now and haven’t understood how threshold is useful to me.

I don't know about salt water I only use it on wet and dry sand.

It does but you must be in the Gold programs.

Well, tried this on my beach and just could not get it to balance, gold program was even worse.
