    Best set up: coin deep, sensi as high as it will go and be stable, reactivity 3, freq 11 khz, iron audio on. Disc at 6. Dig only low 60's and 88 to 98. Swing slower in trashy areas. You will pull coins out of previously dug areas and more.

    I think the xp ORX is mostly suitable for hunting coins including gold ones not exactly small nuggets.
    According to what I'm seeing over the internet, it can hardly pick a 0.1-0.05 gram nugget.
    On this issue the gold Kruzer excels the ORX.

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  Před 2 lety +1

      I will be testing a sub-tenth gram piece in the review. It will be interesting to see how it does.

    LOVED the ORX. Only reason I now swing a Deus is because I won it in a raffle. Otherwise would have stuck with the ORX.

      Liking it so far as well. Swung a Deus for a month a few years back - very good detector, especially with the new coils.

    Awesome to see you back out and digging. Would be great if all the companies would come together for standard ID signals. My brain would fry trying to memorize a whole different set of ID signals lol. Wishing you all the best. Good luck, happy hunting and take care.

    The reason you have two buns for the pinpoint because if you hit the pinpoint button second time and third time it keeps making the object smaller so that you can distinguish it’s a large object or a small object and exactly where it is under the ground

    Welcome to the club. I said same thing why do you have to push two buttons for pinpoint. Not a fan of grip either. I use tip of coil to pinpoint. It's a fun machine though that's why we are in the hobby to have fun.

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  Před 2 lety

      Yeah it seems a bit odd to have to push a back button instead of just holding it down or whatever. PP on this coil seems to be behind dead center...about where the shaft connects.

    Good to see you back out THGT! Looks like it was a great day to be out! Machine experience aside, how does the Orx compare to the T2? Is it more application specific, ot is one better than the other?

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks Jason - felt good to be back out at it. I would say application specific. T2 handles EMI and bad soil smoother with less chatter. Orx handles nails and small gold better with the higher freqs. Both decent coin shooters - but with no notching. Both are very capable inland hunters.

    So has any one ever built clone pi detector use of all kind of different coils

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  Před 8 měsíci

      All of the homemade PI detectors (and coils) I've seen were a far cry from a factory-made version. Fun to do...but the performance is not there.
