Mr. Stanton also kills it as Tarkin as well (looking forward to the Bad Batch, sir!) as well as the amazing admiral Raddus (a mixture of Patton and Churchil's voice), corporal Gascon, AP-5 (with a lovely Alan Rickman tribute), Mas Ameda and Moralo Eval!
Hello there. So awesome seeing you here. Fantastic work as always! When I showed this episode to my father, he asked me who voices Obi-Wan, wondering if it was Alec Guinness somehow:))
Can never get enough of Witwer screaming 'KENOOOOOOOOOOBIIIIII!!!'. Of course Stephen got Alec Guinness's Kenobi masterfullly as well, and great to see him in the comments too!
3:59 I absolutely love that moment both in episode and bts. It is overacting to it's finest but more importantly it's overacting done right. Man I love Sam Witwer.
@@Lunatikk Overacting referes to exaggerated acting (be that strong body movements or vocal work) and is used to strongly emphasize a certain character trait, in Maul's case his obsession with Obi Wan. Also you're saying this as if overacting is something bad. When done right it is a perfect method to convey a character and that's exactly what happened here. Yes, it was perfect acting for this moment but that doesn't mean it's not also overacted.
This is stupid. Obi-Wan could never believe that Luke is the Chosen One. He only believes Luke is his hope. Obi-Wan knows that the Chosen One is someone conceived by midi-chlorians, which Luke isn't. And Luke has a sister as strong in the Force as he is, and Obi-Wan knows it as well.
Id say obi-wan gave up on Anakin becoming the chosen one when he turned and had no faith in him turning back, which is why he thinks Luke is. Obviously its anakin but as an audience, we sorta know everything already, but you gotta look from his perspective
@@noahleyton7632 I'm not talking about the audience. I'm talking about Obi-Wan, the knowledge he has and how illogical it is to portray him like this. There's nothing wrong with Obi-Wan losing faith in Anakin and no longer believing him to be the Chosen One. There's everything wrong with Obi-Wan assuming Luke to be the Chosen One. Obi-Wan knows the prophecy. Obi-Wan knows that it's referred in it that the Chosen One is conceived by midi-chlorians. Luke isn't. Not only that, but Luke has a twin sister, with the same strength and potential he has. Why would Obi-Wan believe in the Chosen One while not only ignoring the prophecy but Leia as well?
@@greatthemeedits1252 The key word for what? Nobody is arguing that Obi-Wan believes Anakin is the Chosen One after Revenge of the Sith. The issue is that he's now being portrayed as believing that someone who doesn't fulfill the requirements of the Chosen One is the Chosen One. Luke wasn't conceived by midi-chlorians. Not only that, but Luke has a twin sister.
Thanks so much for the kinds words, everyone! This was a labor of love for all involved! :)
Love your work Stephen.
My favorite Lightsaber duel of all time

You did a great job as Kenobi. Feels like Sir Alec himself saying the lines.

Sam actually looks like he could play Maul lol . That would of been cool to see with Ewan McGregor , yeah Dave Filoni is so right for Star Wars
The amount of love and care Sam brings to Star Wars is incredible.
This is one of the greatest moments in Star Wars
Stephen Stanton as Ben Kenobi is amazing!

I dont think you actually know what overacting means. This is perfection, pure emotional performance. Nothing of it is "over" or "overly", or "-ly".

@@SWTobito0702 No, it's just acting in this case.
4:05 Are his vocal cords still ok?
My favorite Lightsaber duel of all time and its one of the greatest scenes in animation IMO
I listened to Stanton's voice feels like I listen to Sir Alec's. Well done.
Maul is my favourite character in star Wars rebels because he’s a fierce fighter.
An incredible scene/reunion with an incredible cast and crew.
Awesome when that voice actor shouted "Kenobi!"
Most satisfying editing for a video I've ever seen.

I wish these guys made the Obi Wan show. It would’ve been so much better
Carrie Beck looks like Sabine as an adult.
I wish they saved the Obi Wan vs maul fight for the TV series coming on disney +

I think he told it to maul to comfort him as an act of compassionate before his death. He also did think Luke would defeat the sith.
You “were” the chosen one. “Were” being the key word there

Stephen Stanton was perfect in this. Sam Witwer overacting as usual.
Not overacting, that's hux in tfa,and John boyega
Sam wither is love. Cant you see how much passion he puts? I cant concieve Maul without him
Witwer plays a great post-serious mental trauma Maul
