  • @StupidMarioBros1Fan
    @StupidMarioBros1Fan Před 2 lety +9

    It's interesting hearing all this stuff regarding Mandalore and it's people over a decade later with Rebels & The Mandalorian expanding upon and in some cases retconning parts of it.
    For example Jango Fett now being considered a real Mandalorian now, which can be written off as "Obi-Wan asked this one guy who ended up being evil so he was probably lying." and then there's Rebels stating that the Darksaber was made by a Mandalorian Jedi and not simply a stolen lightsaber.

    This is why I love Star Wars, an entire civilisation and facet of the universe created from one cool-looking guy in the background of one scene who could’ve just as well been cut-out or had been removed. Now Mandalore/Mandalorians are a cornerstone, a pillar of the history of Star Wars and Star Wars content, to the point that its namesake is one of the most popular pieces of entertainment at the moment. Personally they always reminded me of Israel/Palestine conflict, with the struggle between trying to have peace and with the military side of it. More so the landscape and the cities remind me of how parts of Israel cities/settlements are pretty much within an inhospitable desert

      @@hugocardenas9180 The Clone Wars did NOT "shat" all over the EU as you try to imply in a negative way as you imply AT ALL. The Star Wars expanded Universe is MASSIVE and it can't ALL be canon and it can't all mesh well so no duh things have to be changed and dropped. The clone wars "multimedia project" OBVIOUSLY couldn't be canon the same time as Clone Wars should so it HAD to be dropped, it didn't "contradict" ANY of that as it was there. Things needed to be dropped, no different from star wars legends books that were from the 90s.
      "contradict" means they both exists at the same time, which they CLEARLY don't. NONE of those changes in the "article" you tried to list out in "wookiepdia" is NOT "all the contradictions" AT ALL because they were dropped previous stories that couldn't all be canon at the same time. That should be EXTREMELY obvious if you use your damn head that you're clearly not.
      Brining back characters who "died" like "adi gallia" and "eeth koth" (who got an unbelievably anticlimactic death in episode 3) is NOT Clone Wars's responsibility in the slightest as that was done in a comic, NOT the show. That should ALSO be extremely obvious you fool. Use your head and think clearly.
      Adi Gallia DIED in the Clone Wars episode from Savage, she didn't get "brought back" anywhere else and if she did, it's noncanon. The same way how Shaak Ti as several deaths in other media that's not canon.
      The changed to the planets like Dathomir was MASSIVELY improved in order to be an oppressive dark planet more than ever.
      Here you are thinking anything that was changed was a negative, it wasn't and isn't at all. Most of the changes are MASSIVE improvements of things that were there from any said character's personalities and race that were changed WERE improved upon. But is your feeble brain seems to think "change=bad", lol are you for real? YOu're not this dense enough to believe that garbage do you? Most of the changes improved ALOT of the stuff that was once there.
      Stop thinking this nonsense that anything in the old EU is going to stay the same throughout time because it's NOT, alot of that stuff IS going to change entirely.
      But nothing was deliberately "shat all over the eu rIgHt" That's nonsense and complete putrid thinking to say or even think of.
      The Clone Wars tried doing it's on thing by bringing back as many old things into canon territory while some other writers changed aspects to improve upon things that which they perceive.

      Except they didn't. Only the Traviss novels that portrayed the Jedi as demons.
      It would make sense that the Mandos would then be dominated by a peaceful government, considering the two factions of warriors were either driven to hiding or were extinct. Jango's Mandos got wiped out mostly by the Jedi, and before that, said Mandalorian army hounded the Death Watch.

    • @zillafire101
      @zillafire101 Před 8 lety +10

      +HolyknightVader999 Except yeah, they where. There are no aliens in their ranks, something referenced before Traviss, Mandalore is a waste land, which it was not, even before Traviss got involved. There is no reference to the Taung, which existed before Traviss. Mandalorians are suddenly all important, instead of just being an obscure little group marching around the Mandalore sector, which was in place before Traviss. And if everything is canon, where are the True Mandalorians? Why would Mandos join Death Watch, a group they hate and revile above all others, even Jedi, just because of a few Pacifists. The True Mandalorians always made it their goal to fight Death Watch, yet now their gone. Again, they where around before Traviss. So, looking at the fact, we find your wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrongy wrong wrong.

    • @HolyknightVader999
      @HolyknightVader999 Před 8 lety +15

      zillafire101
      The Death Watch was a small fringe group, where we never saw aliens there before. The True Mandalorians also didn't have aliens, and in the KOTOR games, there were no alien Mandos either. Also, the peaceful Mandalorians had aliens slumming around the starports, so there's that. They just didn't join either the Death Watch or the True Mandalorians.
      The Taung were extinct for 4000 years. Revan killed them all at Malachor. Of course nobody's gonna talk about them. They didn't talk about them in the Bounty Hunter game where Mandalorian culture was a central part of the story. (both the hero and the rival are Mandos) So no shit, why would they be talking about a species that's been dead for 4000 years?
      Also, aren't all the True Mandalorians dead? Isn't that why Jango was a subject-less Mandalore, and why Spar hated the Jedi? Although to be fair, that was Dooku's fault-it was him who gave the orders to massacre the Mandos. Which is why Spar and the other Mandalorians should have declared war on the Separatists as well, because their head honcho is the one who ordered the Jedi to slaughter the TM like pigs.
      The Death Watch survived the destruction of the True Mandalorians, and with the one Mandalorian group who hates them being out of the picture (and with the Protectors in the TCW/Rebels canon fighting for the Republic elsewhere in places like Mygeeto) the Death Watch would be the one group left who is still slumming around Mandalore and offering to train people as warriors. Propaganda's one hell of a thing. The Nazis were repulsive bastards, but it didn't stop them from recruiting people both inside and outside of Germany to kill Jews. Also, didn't later Mandalorian groups accept Death Watch members by Boba Fett''s time?
      Traviss turned the Mandalorians into a race of Mary Sues and over-blamed the Jedi for what was Dooku's and the Chancellor's faults. We know this because later on, Traviss made Jaina Solo beg Boba Fett to teach himn how to kill Jedi, which is complete bullshit, since at the time, they were facing a Sith, not a Jedi, and the two are very different in powers and combat dogma: a Jedi has moral weaknesses one can exploit and doesn't use offensive Force powers, while a Sith will use offensive Force powers and have no compunction in sacrificing allies to win. The part where Jaina has to beg Fett for help then get beaten up by him was such fanfiction bullshit that probably convinced Lucasarts to scrap her work about the Mandalorians. A more sensible plot would have been Boba Fett helping Han Solo out after Jacen's fall to the Dark Side, as a noble gesture to someone who was once a worthy adversary, in the same way Canderous helped out Revan and the Jedi Exile. But no, we have to have Jaina Solo regard Fett as a memetic badass despite the fact that she and her Sith brother can probably snap his neck with a thought.
      As for the army of Clone slaves, we have Dooku and Jango to thank for that, one seeking to please his master, the other seeking to get richer instead of rebuilding Mandalore like Canderous did. Then we have the Cul'Vay'Dar to blame for helping Jango with this plot, and the Chancellor to blame for the war entirely. All the Jedi did was to do their duty to the Republic. Nothing more, nothing less. As I said before, the Jedi are either too good or too stupid to be purposefully evil, outside of those who turned to the Dark Side because they foresaw, correctly, that the Jedi will lose.

    • @zillafire101
      @zillafire101 Před 8 lety +1

      +HolyknightVader999 No, there where a good many True Mandalorians left. Lucas just shoved this in here to try and bring it to his vision, of genetic warriors, being generic assholes with no culture or identity outside of "we hatez jedi". Again with this, Traviss didn't write Spars character, and you forget the Mandalorian Protectors and True Mandos where separate groups at this time, with the two even clashing at one point. Most Mandalorians where already neutral, not because they where nuked to shit, but because they simply stayed out, and worked as mercenaries for both sides. No, they accepted members around Spar's time, to redeem themselves on the battlefield. Boba Fett in fact stated his father's greatest legacy was destroying Death Watch. I read the book, and it made sense. Boba is the guy whose slayed force users all over. You want to fight a force user of any kind and it requires the same techniques really. Hide emotions, ambush, surprise, and use whatever it takes to put them off balance. You seem offly butthurt, considering your so gung ho about "Duty" and soldiers fighting even if their drafted or enslaved, you should love Traviss' work and her love of the military. I've already told you, the Cul'vay'dar where regretful over it, and trying to get as many clones out to make up for ruining their lives. If your stupid to understand that, your intelligence must be on the same level as Dave Fiolni's. Did you, not watch the video, where it shows a Togorian and a Mandallian in Mandalorian armor? Again, too stupid to see with your fucking eyes? Ah, the Jedi aren't to blame at all. They only fucked over Mandalorians without asking questions, used a slave army, created their own worst enemy in the form of Grievous, and alienated several by enforcing a corrupt Republic's rules. Notice most of that got retconned out by TCW? Almost like they want the Jedi to be perfect, infallible little angels. And don't talk to me about Mandalorians being Sues. Look to the Jedi, Canon by the way, named Rey. Oh yes, totally not a sue. Again, as I stated elsewhere, your a goddamn idiot. Grow a brain cell in that fucking thick skull of yours. it would do you some good. But your a little toy soldier, doing your duty. What can I expect, you to think?

    • @HolyknightVader999
      @HolyknightVader999 Před 8 lety +9

      But that's exactly what the True Mandalorians, and the Mandalorian Protectors in the Traviss novels were. Whining about why they hate the Jedi despite the fact that the Jedi beat them in their game fair and square. The Jedi ordered them to stand down or be destroyed, they refused, and died. That's war. The old KOTOR Mandalorians understood that and had no hard feelings for the Jedi in their timeline-shit, they even venerated the Jedi who wiped them out as some kind of saint. The TM and the Protectors in the Traviss novels bitch about hating the Jedi because the Jedi defeated them at Galidraan.
      And of course, the Clone Army. Which the Jedi only took command of because it was their fucking duty. You can go and blame Dooku, blame Palpatine, blame Jango and the Cul'Vay'Dar for the situation the Clones are in. The Jedi? They're just doing their job. Dooku and Palpatine are doing it for the sake of power, Jango and the Cul'Vay'Dar are doing it for the sake of getting paid. Don't give me that pigshit about regret. Regret doesn't help anyone, you useless dipshit. Both parties are creating and sending an entire army of slave clones to die to achieve material gain. The Jedi? They led the Clones into battle and died alongside them because it's what their nation and religion told them to. They don't gain anything from it, and they even die from it.
      So again, we come back to the reason as to why the Traviss fans hate the Jedi, which are nothing but COMPLETE BULLSHIT. Dooku and Palpatine were the ones to blame for the war in the first place, and Jango and his Cul'Vay'Dar pals all agreed to that power-hungry plan because more money for them. This despite the fact that Jango could have taken that five million credits he won from killing Komari Vosa go gather the Cul'Vay'Dar, and gone off to rebuild the Mandalorian clans. He was a money-hungry jackass for agreeing to sell his genes to make a slave army, and the Cul'Vay'Dar are also all money-hungry jackasses for agreeing with him in raising and training a slave army. The Jedi had nothing to gain from leading the army aside from exhaustion or a blaster bolt through them. So from all of this, the Jedi stand the most blameless. Traviss' Mandos helped create and train the clones, going along with the Sith because of money. So if there's anyone to blame for the whole "clone slave" crisis, it's Jango and his Mandos. At least the Sith had an altruistic vision of making the galaxy more orderly, and the Jedi were just trying to restore peace, so they have the argument of fighting for the greater good. The Traviss Mandos? They all went along with violations of ethics for a pay stub.
      Also, Boba's tactics for taking out Jedi are completely irrelevant in fighting Sith. All that stealth bullshit won't work on a Sith that can sense you coming a parsec away and can end you with a thought. It really doesn't make any sense, considering Fett can't even take out Vader, and the man Jaina was after was STRONGER than Vader. Jacen is practically an unsullied Darth Vader bumped up to full potential. Boba's bushwhacker tactics worked on lesser Jedi who are easily distracted. Not master-rank Jedi like Shaak Ti or Obi-Wan Kenobi.
      "You want to fight a force user of any kind and it requires the same techniques really. Hide emotions, ambush, surprise, and use whatever it takes to put them off balance."
      That shit didn't work on Darth Vader, and it sure as fuck won't work on his more powerful grandson. Vader was defeated through cheer force, and the same could be said for Sidious when both Mace Windu and Luke Skywalker fought him, in Episode III and Dark Empire, respectively. Even if you pull that shit on that wimp Kylo Ren, he'll just freeze your blaster bolts then freeze you, then chop your heads off. There's a reason why it's the Jedi, not the Mandalorians, who take out Dark Lords of the Sith.
      The Jedi didn't massacre the Mandos out of nowhere. They didn't create the Clone Army. They didn't create Grievous. They offered peaceful surrender to the Mandos, and the Mandos ignored it and fought. The Sith created the Clone Army, and you blame the Jedi for it, even though it was just one Jedi Councilor being influenced by Dooku and Sidious. And they didn't create Grievous-Dooku did, by blowing up his shuttle then training him as a duelist. You tend to blame the Jedi for shit they didn't do. The only thing they did was enforce the Republic's rule, and that was just them serving the people, since the people are the ones who send in the Senators who give the Jedi orders. So the one thing wrong with the Jedi was that they were lemmings controlled by democracy. And you state that as a bad thing. So I suppose democracy is evil, from your point of view? All the Jedi did was try to protect democracy. And that's apparently wrong!

    Ironic that the old look of Mando's looked like a bunch of Bobba Fetts and that "Robbed his uniqueness" yet Bobba turned out to eb a Clone and the grand army of the Republic all share his face hahaha
