Sam Witwer is an absolutely fantastic voice actor. Starkiller from SW:TFU, Darth Maul from this, Darth Maul from the new SWBF2, and Emperor Palpatine from the new SWBF and SWBF2. i love Sam Witwer and his voice.

I know. He looks so different without it. I saw him at Celebration Anaheim without it as he was going up an escalator, and same thing. Didn't recognize him at first. Sadly I didn't get a picture with him as he disappeared too fast, but still got close.

I think they were planning to have lots of easter eggs referencing that game. In another episode they also visit Level 1312 on Coruscant in a setting very similar to that in the teaser for "1313".
You would think someone who wrote the episode would have backgrounds on every character in it.

I was surprised to find out James Arnold Taylor is actually American. This is the first time I ever heard his normal voice! Usually you see British actors playing American characters but it's kinda rare to see the other way around

I actually really like the transformation Maul goes through. When he is Sidious' apprentice, he's very timid and not wanting to upset his master and draw out his wrath, then after his defeat the fear of his master is gone and is replaced by anger, and he becomes more bold and brash. Then in season 5 when Sidious' arrives he reverts back to the very timid Maul we knew from Episode 1 and it carries throughout that fight.

Well, it got cut in half by Obi-Wan in The Phantom Menace. He continued to use only one half of it in his fight with Obi-wan. If my memory serves me correctly, one of these halves was given to him by Savage in The Clone Wars. Perhaps he was unable to locate another Kyber crystal/lightsaber.
True, I just would have thought he would have tried to find a new double bladed one because that is what he was trained to use.
He has a double-bladed one in Rebels, so he probably just didn't have time to make it during TCW.

I wish Grievous got to shine more like how he was savage in the 2003 Clone Wars cause I am pretty sure Nadar Vebb was the only Jedi we see him kill in The Clone Wars. I love what they did with Vetress I hope they do the episodes where she teamed up with Voss where her hair grew out and had the yellow lightsaber and is the ending for her character and the Son of Dathomir so we get the ending for Mother Talzin.

My problem with the clone wars, and I know people have heard this a lot Is the portrayl of Grievous. He was a badass and now they made him a underdog.....WHY???? SO much potenial thrown out the window.
I think George never liked Grievous as a serious character, the name in itself is retarded and only george would come up with that.

In the Microseries he just seemed a bit... flawless and overpowered? if they were able to make as he was in the Clone Wars microseries he would have posed a huge balance problem and would be less of a character to build off of.
Grevious as a character who gloats and monologues and who basks in his victories and displays make him seem like more of a villian who could stand out on his own.
His pride and his show-offieness stop him from becoming an even bigger threat and liability. he likes to take his time with his rivals and competition. he even collects lightsabers as trophied as if he were some hunter!
personally I think he is much better in TCW and ROTS than the microseries, but that is my opinion and I hope this didn't sound to argumentative.

But I think that what they did was extreme he's now and incompetent coward he still has his moments the entire lare of greivous episode showed how psychotic he can be but they failed to keep that momentum
A character especially a minor one is supposed to serve the story. He was too op and didnt fit when they needed from him so we got what we got. For that the main thing I like about George's wrk. He has a story and everything feeds into it till its completion. That's why I wasnt bothered with him nerfing the fetts when fans wanted otherwise.

One question I've always had about Maul's return. How did he get from Naboo to the planet Savage finds him on?
However, through his hate and will to survive, Maul used the Force to grab an air vent as he was tumbling down the reactor shaft and eventually made it to a trash container. A combination of his Nightsister magicks, Dathomirian physiology and Sith tenacity served to keep him tethered to life even as his sanity began to leave him. Maul's shattered body was dumped on the junkyard world of Lotho Minor, where he lived in the bowels of the planet. There he utilized discarded metal to fashion for himself a six-limbed apparatus that allowed him to walk again.

Not sure what you're talking about. There was a non canon story and one with a hologram. As far as I can remember there was never a proper G-canon or EU canon return until the clone wars
Katty Lucas is actually a pretty good writer (star wars wise at least), i guess she took a few lessons from the prequels regarding what not to do.
