This video was so good, it made me tear up. I loved these space husbands so much. I’d like to assume the reason why their relationship status isn’t mentioned is because they been married for years but kept quiet about it bc of their line of work. Because they absolutely read as gay and in love, upon my first time watching this movie.

They are absolutely gay for each other! And since we are talking about gay moments, in the scene of Chirrut death, he is searching Baze's face with his hand, as if to "see" him, and it's such an intimate gesture. I thought my heart was gonna break.

I would LOVE a “seems gay” about zeb and kallus from Star Wars Rebels… me and my brother call the episode where they are stranded “the cave of two lovers” - they are so in love with such brilliant chemistry and loads of great tropes involved and also I think one of the writers/creators/actors (can’t remember exactly) basically said “interpret them however you want”

I thought, 100%, that the actual TEXT of the movie was saying that Chirrut and Baze were a couple. I and the 2 friends I originally saw Rogue One with were astounded and said afterward "Omg, I can't believed they finally gave us a canon gay couple on screen in Star Wars!! I never thought they'd do it! Amazing!" But then Lucasfilm walked it back, multiple times afterward (kinda like what they did with Kallus and Zeb, tbh), and released that YA novel that was basically like "They were simply the best of friends....what implied romantic relationship??? :) "

Happy Pride Month, That Gay Jedi!!! 🏳️🌈🌈 I know I've been one of the many people requesting you to do this video, and god, do you deliver. 🤩 Now you're making me want to rewatch Rogue One and cry over Chirrut and Baze's deaths. 😭 They're such amazing characters in their own right and are even more amazing when they're together, either working alongside each other or bickering and teasing each other.
One thing though, Chirrut's quip "is your feet alright?" is very commonly seen in the old classic martial arts films from Hong Kong where in between short intervals of a duel/fight scene, one fighter (the one that seemingly has the upper hand) taunts their opponent "are you alright?" before continuing on fighting. So I don't classify the line itself as queer/gay, but then it rarely, if ever, appears in Western media, and Donnie Yen performed this line with so much sass it makes his character so likeable and, dare I say, gives off queer vibes.
