I wouldn't be surprised if a good chunk of the laid off Tango employees end up at Nintendo, considering part of their investor meeting mentioned hiring new people rather than pursue mergers and acquisitions.
Silver lining for that team is that they can put “Hi-Fi Rush” on their resume which is automatically eye catching.
Nintendo learned this hardcore with Rare and I am sure other situations. The people are way more important than the studio they operate under.

I agree with RGT about specs. Specs don't mean shit if they are not used properly. I have come to the conclusion, never buy the best computer parts because most games are not even utilized very well to use them.

@draftermath1683 it really depends. Lower end pc's can be around the same price as a console. The steamdeck is a great example of what a more streamlined experience can be for the PC market.

Xbox hasn't recovered or done anything meaningful or of value since the launch of the Xbox One in 2013 and it still shows.

Xbox does have gamepass, which is a phenomenal service for what it provides. I think it was only putting a bandaid over their issue though.
Xbox feels very desperate right now.
- Quick Resume, not even possible on PC right now. Basically multiple game states frozen on your SSD and you can return to that exact point whenever you want. Pretty great feature I don't want to miss.
- Gamepass day one games are not a small feature. It's the main reason why PS5 is not appealing to me. Getting Indiana Jones, Call of Duty, Avowed day one in a subscription I would be subscribed to anyway is pretty major.
- Lots of RPGs coming up. Nintendo and PS is not appealing as an RPG fan. With Xbox you can look forward to Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Starfield, Avowed, Fable, Clockwork Revolution.
- Games on PC and crossplay and crossbuy. I also play PC gamepass games like Age of Empires on my laptop which is great.
-Back compat to all previous generations with resolution and framerate increases. Nintendo and PS don't have that.
- Forza Horizon is also the best car game currently.

According to various gaming "journalists", the gaming industry has been dying for the last... 20 years at least. Sure takes a long time for it to die. 🙄
It is dying. Death from companies doesn't particularly come quickly. Majority of time it takes years of poor choice before the death happens. Buyouts are usually what happens when a company fails. Blizzard/Activision is a good example. While COD made money, none of their other stuff did. You could argue WOW, but less people play WOW now then they did when it first came out. Unless there's a new expansion. People aren't dying to play it anymore. They were hemorrhaging money more than making it. Companies don't typically buyout other companies when they're making money. Combine that with all the failed live service games that they've been trying to push and it's dying. Everyone wants to be Fortnite without putting in the work that Epic did. They want to shortcut it by making a mediocre game and then when it doesn't go well they shelve it immediately. The budgets for these games is also exacerbating it. When your budget is in the millions and the game fails. It's not a good look. Combine that with Lootboxes, microtransactions, battle passes and everything else that pisses gamers off when they're purchasing $70 games and you've got some huge problems. The industry is dying a slow death, but it is dying.

Shutting down Tango Gameworks is unforgivable for me, I stuck with Xbox through Xbox one in the hope of having games like Hi Rush and Ghostwire Tokyo, finally having a Japanese studio outputting creativity, but now they’ve been shutdown I don’t even feel like turning on my Xbox, I was interested in Hellblade 2 but again; turning on my Xbox feels depressing as hell, especially with in the back of my mind all these games I could be playing have a chance of being their last game under Microsoft

I agree about the specs of connsoles. I don't care and some people hyper focus on it. I want something that plays games and is able to get most of the third party games.

According to people in Josie's chat, particularly a user named Medallion, Click didn't want to be on here anymore and claimed she was being harassed by the chat. She was supposedly being harassed on her looks or something. Which I've been watching since both she and Josie have been on and never seen anyone comment on their looks. I'm not saying I could have missed it. Cause I could have. However, I think she's lying on the real reason. Josie's even said she's been harassed by the Spawncast chat on her looks, but I've never seen it. Vast majority like Josie and Click so when they say stuff like that I tend to not believe them. Mainly because I've never seen it. Does mean it didn't happen. Just means I've never seen it.
Yes she had a baby. That plays a big part. However, I think the reason is because she had several terrible takes in a row that the chat was roasting her for it. Never once was it about her looks ever. It was about how hypocritical she was. It's the same for Dreamcastguy. The chat kept roasting him and he eventually stopped coming on. Granted the chat was actually being mean to him most of the time. I could see him not wanting to come back. Click's roasting was because of her hypocritical takes, not because of her looks. She's a very attractive woman. She has terrible takes some times. Unfortunately in today's society, people cannot handle people not agreeing with them and being little sheep along the way. However, it's really hard to take someone seriously when they're being hypocrites on the topic.
She also doesn't stream as much as she use to. The baby is probably the best reason for it, but she was checked out before she had the baby. She definitely had months where she wasn't on the show at all before she ever was pregnant. I always find it amusing when people claim harassment, but never actually prove they were being harassed. Dreamcastguy was being harassed by the chat. Click and Josie, I don't really buy it since everyone seems to like them.

I watched digital foundry comparison between the switch and the iPhone 11 Pro is a sill comparison of course the iPhone 15 Pro is more powerful as the tech inside the switch is 10 years but I admire the switch because it competed well with it iPhone 15 pro, it’s apples to oranges and not really necessary. I still choose the switch over the iPhone 15 Pro as a gaming platform because the iPhone is not really a gaming platform at the end of the day and the switch is better value..
If nothing else I look forward to playing the Halo collection on Switch 2.

Phil did a lot of good things, but I think they bit more than they could chew with ABK. Backwards Comp, Xbox One S/X, Smart Delivery, xCloud, and of course Gamepass and Xbox Series S/X and the Bethesda Acquisition. I think the ABK was just too much money, took too long and is now putting too much pressure from Microsoft Leadership to deliver fast because GamePass tho great has now hit a ceiling.
I love remakes because they bring games that i love and look at and play differently, and remaster is pretty good it brings old game to life and different crowds to play
Its same as Xbox account its not in every country and they require Xbox account in there multiplayer games on Steam too like Forza.

The thing about those 100 some odd countries that PSN isnt available in is that they must represent a insanely small amount of actual consumers. Thats all its about. Sony isnt going to go out of their way so 10 people in Afghanistan can play their games online. So its easier and more importantly more cost effective just to delist them in those countries. Thats it. The amount they feel they will gain by getting their actual consumers to sign up for an account dwarfs whatever potential consumers there are in those countries that already dont have access to PSN.

According to reports, there is "internal debate" at Microsoft. So, my guess is that Satya, Phil, Sarah, Matt, and a few other executives are sitting around a table asking what moves make sense (in terms of making $70 billion back as quick as possible) given the current situation Microsoft is in. Short answer: It isn't one person deciding what to do, but you can bet that Satya gets to make the final call.

Good games couldn't save Nintendo in the home console market. Without handheld sales to lean on, who knows where Nintendo would be today
The Wii would say otherwise. You forget that unlike MS and Sony, Nintendo makes money on their consoles because of the old tech used within it. Therefore making them more profitable than the other two companies at the moment.
@sjue316 the wii made $6 per console. So yes, it was profitable compared to Sony and Microsoft. The issue with the wii was software. While they had moved 100 million units. About 65% of users didn't purchase a game outside of wii sports. Nintendo had a huge image problem with gamers as Nintendo was seen as more of a child's toy, with cute characters and alot of shovelware. The mass appeal didn't net them the huge software sales as their competitors. This is why the Wii U's failure was the final straw for Nintendo in the home console market. They simply moved to focus on what they did best, handhelds and it paid off

@sjue316 not delusional at all, please go look up third party software sales and to some extent 1st party games not bundled with the console. Some 1st party titles did well 13-7 million copies sold. That isn't huge for in terms of having a base of over 100 million console owners.

My goal for Xbox the remaining of the generation is to buy the rest of the games I want physically for my series x. By the end of this generation I will just keep it hooked up so I can access my games and my digital purchases. I will not be buying the Next system and no longer giving them my money beyond this generation. Once it ends, my gamepass ends, by then I’ll have all those games I really want purchased and never look at them again except play what I have on my series x and my 360. I’m done.

What about Forza Horizon 5, MSFS, AoE, Psychonauts? Even Halo multiplayer was critically acclaimed on release(Tjough they dhat the bag later).
All these games are critically acclaimed and even have good user reviews.
Ryan keeps saying "I don't like how they did it" listen. Let's not forget we are in this mess because Sony doesn't play fair either. Xbox was trying to take a step back, I'm sure they wanted to be content with the studios they had. Sony coming in to all these 3rd parties though and ruthlessly locking down exclusive content I mean this is Microsoft's response. The only sad part is Microsoft has gotten impatient and this is their biggest mistake cause they need to let em cook. They need to come up with support systems to assist these studios. Xbox talks a big game but they fail and fumble at every turn and that's the problem. Stop worrying about making a deadline or schedule and just release good polished games. That's all you gotta do is just finish the damn games. That's the only way your gonna get gamers to look back over here.

"Sports" is pretty broad. Pat's show is football heavy focus. I've only ever heard RGT talk about basketball and wrestling. Granted Pat does crossover into wrestling, but not sure pop quizzing RGT to name AJ as the co-host (or not), is a valid test of RGT's sports knowledge. I say that as someone who doesn't really like RGT, but let's at least be fair if we're going to randomly challenge his sports credentials.

Dunkey is the most overrated video game youtuber of all time, he's a bad reviewer, especially when it comes to JRPGs and hides behind "comedy" when people call him out on it. I think the goal of 100 million game pass subs was banked in the idea that the service would end up in the PlayStation and Switch because back then there were rumors floating that talks were happening for gamepass being in the Switch.
100 million gamepass subscribers is not possible without PlayStation and Nintendo playerbase that 100 million goal are all xbox/pc/ps/nintendo but Sony didn’t want it

Hi-Fi Rush was a flop. If it was truly as successful as they claimed they wouldn't have shutdown the studio. While yes it was highly praised by the people who did play it. Sales say something else. If your game doesn't sell, you aren't going to be around. Especially when you're owned by a huge corporation.
That's what happens when you put everything on GamePass and don't force your players to actually buy your product. Gamepass, much like any streaming service, isn't sustainable long run unless you can get old content on your service. Most smart people will sign up to play what they want for a month and then cancel until something else comes out. Unfortunately that works worse in the gaming industry than the movie industry because you have to essentially remaster any old game before you can put it on the service. Therefore making it cost more than it would to just license out an old movie.
I will buy COD physically before I subscribe to Gamepass. Out of principle. And I’m not even interested in it.
Tango and Mikami haven't done anything really of note in a long time. Mikami hasn't done anything really since Vanquish and even that didn't sell despite being an excellent game. Shadows of the Damned was terrible. The Evil Within is a mid series and no one cared about Ghostwire Tokyo. It was price slashed on sale pretty quickly. Hi Fi Rush isn't the overwhelmingly well received game you'd think if you listen to the Internet. It's very one note and suffers a problem with input lag. As far as sales are concerned, Pentiment and Hi Fi Rush are currently 30-40% off on PS5 already. So they couldn't be selling that well.

Yes, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are great games but people hyper focus on the issues that some of them didn't even experience. Some just go off of what others have said.
The technical side is disastrous and should be pointed out, but I agree that they're really fun and I'd easily put them in my Top5 Pokémon games.

You should talk about the fact that Sony isn't creally backtracking and instead doubling down with ghosts of tsushima, all the 100+ countries that couldn't buy helldivers after they delisted it still can't and now they can't buy ghosts of tsushima either. Only thing Sony backed down on is needing PSN for Helldivers IF you already bought it.
I left Sony when they got rid of their Japan Studios, and now I'm quitting Xbox for the same kind of nonsense.
All that is left is Nintendo and PC.

I wasted my money on xbox, they are absolutely horrible, to think people were saying it was in a console war when in fact they don’t even make games, nintendo and sony at least have games, well I know I won’t be spending my money on xbox’s next console
Sony doesn't really have games anymore either. They're just buy exclusivity. They don't make much that they can call their own anymore though.

@@RetroVideoGamer23 Rebirth and FF16 aren't exclusive. They're a time exclusive. They'll both be on PC and possibly Xbox eventually. As far as the rest of the stuff you named. Those aren't really exclusive either. Sony is porting all of those to PC. There really is no benefit to buying actual consoles anymore.
Plus I hate Sony's censorship and this idea that PC players "need" PSN Accounts to play anything on PC. So they can go eff themselves for all I care. I've been fine not playing their stuff so far. I'm not missing out.

This show is going downhill real fast.
That's what happens when you don't listen to your audience. Far too much time went on with DreamCastGuy remaining on the cast, even when fans were saying he was bringing the show down. OJ is just way too sensitive, where he can dish it out, but cannot take the heat himself. Some of the other cast were dead weight. Jon just kept on ignoring viewer feedback for too long, now the fans have found other podcasts that are respectful of the viewers.
@@Julia_Hammels I don't think anyone making a show should listen to their audience all the time. I've watched plenty of shows where they listened to the audience and it tanked the show. Yes, it's the internet and everyone has an opinion. Doesn't mean that opinion is a good one. Jon doesn't have to listen to viewer feedback. It's his show. The real message would be heard by all the dissenters if you stopped watching completely and stopped commenting. That would actually send the message. Not this hate watching BS that so many of you do.

It has nothing to do with her being a girl. Old games were always harder because they knew you'd be playing them for longer periods of time. Unlike now, they actually made the games worth your money. Now, hard is mildly hard. It still has nothing to do with her being a girl.
