Eternity opens the door, Reality walks in.
Sweeny was only 31. How sad. Thanks for sharing
I'm glad you were careful on that broken grave, beautiful cemetery
You were very respectful, thank you for sharing your find!
Looks like you had a beautiful day! Thanks for the tour 🪦
Hey Tony! Great video!
The spot with the broken slabs looks to have been a mausoleum, but they filled it in with dirt for safety.
The open Mausoleum had a cool gothic cathedral vibe! And going into a Mausoleum, is not a problem. Many are open or unlocked in many locations.
Tony, it's important you showing things like this. You never know who's watching and what they might be able to do about these things. Otherwise all these things would go unnoticed and who knows the outcome. So thank you for showing things and bringing us all along. Another beautiful day.
Dang you are one lucky guy to see and walk in a private mausoleum I wish i had the opportunity to do that someday also at the 1110 mark that grave site still has really good perpetual care looks like the family still cares about their love ones .. Again great video keep up the great videos Mr Tony
Wow loved this walk through. So interesting so full of history. My dad was a SF fireman for 32 years. Thank you for your service sir. Rest in peace to all. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Great walking tour Tony, thank you very much. Perhaps the door was left open by the cemetery management for the family to go inside the mausoleum, and no one came back to lock it up again, although the family should have had a key to the mausoleum themselves. I never get tired of this cemetery, it is so cool. I appreciate all your efforts Tony. I can also appreciate you not going out in bad weather. No use in getting soaked, and getting sick.
Thank you again Tony, take care. 😊
At the beginning I noticed the moss/algae is a rust color on the monuments. Must be the weather there that causes that. I'd be afraid to step on any of those ledgers. Made of marble because of weathering it is likely brittle and would break.
Very respectful as always 😊
Maybe there is cold craft beer on tap inside?
Nicely kept graves ..very elaborate stone pieces 🇬🇧
Glad you enjoyed it!
lovely video and lovely pictures thanks
Many thanks
No flack here good job !
Sometime when you’re at Holy Cross, check out and explore the big mausoleum way at the
back. It’s huge and beautiful, and even though it’s well-lit, it can be a little spooky
I’ve been in there I have a video somewhere on my list of videos.
@@CryptDoor oh, cool
The crypt was so cool❤ to bad about the stained glass😢Really sad about the Hero Firemans slab😢Maybe they should have put the dirt all the way to the top.
Nice picture yet of woman. Looks like nice day for a drink and walk
People were smaller back then. Only in the past 70 years have people been taller.
I wonder if in the Costello mausoleum, rather than behind the plaques, the family is buried under the floor.
Love watching your videos!
Glad you like them!
I look forward to them!
Thank You.
They some times opean them for people to come and pray as per the wish of the owners as long as they are still in good conditions. ❤
Greetings from Poteet Texas a very nice video
Thank you
I wonder how many of the graves are the original burying place and how many were moved from San Francisco when the city evicted them? Is there a list somewhere?
Luther A. Burbank's grave is also in Santa Rosa. Charles Schultz's grave is in the neighboring city of Sebastopol.
I usually come across things on Find a Grave when I’m looking people up about if they were a transplant from San Francisco.
Ever have a spiritual attachment follow you home?
No
Ghosts don’t haunt grave yards :: it’s usually where they die.
👍👍👍
I have never seen graves like you were showing us in the beginning. Are people buried under the slabs on either side of the slab that has the gravestone?
I do believe so, but I think they’re left and right all the way down
Some crazy peoples like to break-in for fun. Should leave it alone.
Is that a Masonic Cemetery?
What about you sir do you ever think 🤔 of a crypt for yourself or perhaps a Mausoleum? Or Cremation?
Cremation for me.
The big mausoleum are where the Catholic bishops and Archbishops are buried.
Did you see Joe Di Maggio’s grave?
Wood Lawn Cemetery is where Wyatt Earp is buried.
Yeah, I saw Joe DiMaggio’s grave.
1906 Earthquake, 3,000-plus fatalities. Where are they buried?
I have found earthquake victims spread out over numerous cemeteries.
it's disrespectful to walk on a grave - the cemetery IS beautiful - you could have also informed the cemetery's office about the door being open so that no one goes in there and does do damage -
I did let somebody know about the door.
