It seems very dark. I haven't looked but have you been to the big Catholic mausoleum in Hayward (?)? It's huge and very beautiful! They have lots of family areas roped off.

Woodlawn Mausoleum is really quite beautiful. About the second most elegant after the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Glendale I've ever seen.

I seem to remember Howard saying he was cremated and his ashes were mixed in to make the bench.

When I see a historic cemetery such as this, I let my imagination wander through all the names of all the famous, talented souls who rest there and wonder if they are enjoying a kind of reunion, reliving old times and celebrating one another. Thank you for the opportunities you provide to your viewers to experience places we may not be able to travel and learn from. I am disabled and would not be able to explore on my own, but with you as our guide, I am free to say a short prayer for each person you name.

I just inherited an Abby 4 person mausoleum. It also has 8 niches for cremation. My grandparents bought it for an investment property. LOL, but after 20 years, I finally have it. I debated about selling it or donating it for babies without parents.

I caught part of a glimpse of my grandparents panel on the wall. I've never rewound & froze a sliver of a video until now. I'm in Nebraska now & haven't been to the cemetery since my other set of grandparents passed away. If you find yourself there again my grandparents in the mausoleum are the second wall spot on the right where the stained glass is of baby Jesus, Mary & Joseph. There names are Mildred & Henry Rottmar. (About 2:54 in the video.) If you leave that corridor & hang a right to head out the side door, my other grandparents would be almost directly in front of you. I believe it's a big black headstone that says Joaquin "King" & Bernice Cunha. He died in 2010 & grandma passed in 2011. Thank you if you are able to find them.

The last time I was at Hollywood Forever, it was still Hollywood Memorial Park (yes, I'm old) and at least once when I was in the Cathedral Mausoleum I felt that I was NOT welcome. And over across the park, when I was beside the crypt of Victor Fleming, I heard strange noises from up in the ceiling. At the time I had no idea that I was a little sensitive to such things. Later, I found that I also felt VERY unwelcome in a small private corridor in the mausoleum where my parents, my older brother and two aunts and uncles are interred. Two of my cousins later told me they also felt like something didn't want them to be there, and very definitely wanted them to leave, so it wasn't just me. I love cemeteries, but they can be a bit creepy

Those tombs which have locks on them. Some of them, and I think theyre only in the mausoleums, they unlock these late at night, a caretaker of the grave or protector will let the living corpse out of its coffin. Theres Vampires sleeping in a lot of the graves with locks on them. Seriously. You have no idea what you will find in Anew Orleans. But Vampires are mostly Cain bloodline and from the Civil War, there was a black plague that was kept quiet in most of the diaries written by aConfederate Soldiers. Things happened in Louisiana that stem from Ancient Voodoo and Unorthodox Roman Catholicism.

Way to close. Maybe they are looking to remove the stones later down the road. Most people in those Graves probably don't have any living relatives anymore. So it would be easy to pretend the graveyard never existed.
