  • Kalindi Khal is a remote and challenging trek route that goes from Gangotri to Badrinath shrine in Garhwal Himalayas. Almost all the route is over glaciers - Gangotri, Chaturangi, Sweta, then over a heavily crevassed Kalindi pass (at 5970 meters) and crossing a crevessed snowfield. This trek takes 10-12 days if weather is good all throughout and 5 nights are spent at or over 5000 meters altitude. Some people even go as far as saying Kalindi khal as the most difficult trek in India, owing to the toughness, high death rate, and other AMS issues that keep happening many a times.
We undertook this trek in from 4-14th June, 2018 and all the members were successful in completing the trek in good health without any issues. That itself shows how lucky we are to be blessed with good health and good weather.
