We are Arpita and Anshul who have been traveling together on a great many adventures, whether it be traveling across the ancient Silk Route in Central Asia for two months, getting lost in millennia old markets in Iran for a month, journeying into the heart of Pamirs in Tajikistan, our month long adventures in North East or our recent trip to New Zealand where we camped and drove around for almost a month.
Even before that both of us have done a lot many travels individually, either high altitude Himalayan treks, scuba diving in forlorn places or solo backpacking escapades. My biggest solo adventure was my three months backpacking journey across Europe. It is hard to digest the fact that we did little to document these journeys, one which we would like to change this year. So here we are sharing our adventures from across the world.

Madakasira fort | drone video | hiking video | hill top fort | daytrip from Bangalore
A forgotten hilltop fort which is a little less than 3 hours drive from Bangalore. We were pleasantly surprised to find a seven-tiered fort, with several structures at the hilltop, huge balancing rocks, several caves, and walls surrounding the fort.
The fort is made more stunning by the presence of a giant natural rock face next to it which bears resemblance to a human face. Upon searching for the history of this place, we found it was earlier called Simhagiri, or Lion's mountain. The fort has more than 500 years of history with rulers participating to defeat Malik Kafur in 1300s, being given over to Maratha kings in 1700s, and even withstanding attacks by Hayder Ali twice in the late 1700s.
Now forgotten by ASI apart for an electric line running to the temple on the top, the fort is slowly being reclaimed by nature. Definitely, a good find that Bangalore folks looking for offbeat spots should check out.

Bheemana Kindi is a lesser-known hill around 100 km from Bangalore and makes an excellent day trip from the city. @@backpackercrows There is so much out there worth exploring. I am sure there are many wonders I am not even aware of. But, the ones that I know I definitely want to explore in every season is Iceland :) And also need to cover some migrations - Hammerhead, Sardine run, Africa. Soon Soon :) The list is endless.
Spiti is love 😍❤️
Amazing video 😍 Congratulations on completing this difficult trek
Amazing !!! Have heard stories of the treacherous Khatling glaciers !
Woww this is beautiful and scary..didn't you get scared?
Most marine life is quite fascinating and not very shy of us. Specially in remote places which rarely see humans. So there isin't any reason to be afraid of them. That being said we shouldn't really disturb them by touching or prodding.
Can i get the details and costing of this trek itinerary and fitness level pls and the name of the trekking group through which u summited ?
