Kalindi Khal : India's highest trekkable pass! (4K)

- One of India toughest treks - Kalindi Khal - is a glacial moraine expedition from Gangotri to Badrinath.
12 of us ranging from 27 years to 69 year-olds attempted this trek in August 2018.
We crossed seven different glaciers, walked over tricky moraine throughout and camped besides beautiful glacial lakes. The Kalindi Pass is at about 19600ft, making it the highest trekkable pass in India.
A big shout out to the entire support staff for lugging our luggage, tents and equipment in the trecherous terrain, and guiding us throughout. We are nothing compared to what they do in the mountains.

V did this track in 1986. Now totally changed v camped before col. On sweta bamak reached col. Within one hour it was totally glacial climb. After that v glacied down reached snout camped. It was fantastic at that time. Thanks for🙏💕

Drone shots are just breathtaking. Time lapses are mesmerising. The bits captured at Nandanvan and Vasuki Tal are beautiful. The editing is on point and crisp. Which month was this in? Hired porters and guides or planned by an agency?

August is a very risky time zone to avoid travel in Uttrakhand.. Personally recommend better to pick September mid for safer passage.... Nice video 🎥

I believe, there is a mistake in the altitudes that you've mentioned in the video, throughout.
This is a well shot and compiled video, hence, people might want to refer to it before starting their expedition. So, in my humble opinion, nothing in the video should mislead.

I used a Garmin Forerunner 935 to map the whole trek and put up the altitudes in the video based on that.
You people are courageous, bold & your tracking act is amazing, crossed dangerous zone of the glacier. I have enjoyed wonderful scenic view & videography of the greater Himalaya. You didn't tell the distance from Gangotri to kalindi khal. Whether you have started your tracking through Gomukh (origin of Ganga) ? Bravo for your determination.
