Projects at home in the mountains of central Mexico, our USA travels in a 40' Monaco motor home, or whatever else is on my mind today.

You inspired me to take a trip to Guadalajara and Ajijic last fall and I saw for myself that the image we have of Mexico is very wrong. I could see myself retiring there and your videos help greatly. Your tour of the medical and care facilities help tremendously in alleviating fears of the unknown. You are helping a lot of people!
I just came bk from Ajijic, Barra de Navidad, La Manzanilla...I enjoyed Mexico. Best Medical, Affordable housing and food. I love Mexico!!!!!
They want you to think our country is chaos so they can keep you in your country as slaves pumping out tax money to fund their dark government projects.
Just in case anybody is wondering about those natives flying,, that ceremony it’s called “Voladores de Papantla”
One thing that comes through in your videos is how much you love your wife. It is nice to see all the different aspects of Mexico and show people that there are good and bad everywhere.
I like the way you begin your vlogs. When you say "hello friends", I really feel as though we are friends. You are a very likable person. I enjoy your conversations about..... Whatevers on your mind today.😊
And as I answer comments each day from more and more names I come to recognize as regular commenters, I, too, feel as though I'm hearing from a friend. You're on that list, 1956model1. :)
Looks like downtown LA @ 13:00 but with nice flute music instead of bullets whizzing past your ears. ;-)
Haha, Walmart really is a Mex experience, just head down that thar dirt road aways and hang a left. Mexico is very modern and convenient in larger areas.
I debt its a dirt road
Ajijic is just one of the virgin pearls , My Mexico is beautiful not just the people but our culture and gastronomy is one of the best in the world , i appreciate taking your time to show the world part of our culture and places. Lynn adorable as always!
Thank you. :)
What a life!!! 1. Fresh cup of coffee along with a decent breakfast. 2. Go back home relax, maybe a little gardening. 3. In afternoon walk to the park, get a refreshment. 4. To end the day a nice dinner with a drink, maybe a margarita or two. Enjoyed to the max cos life is short!!!
The gardener does the gardening. :)
I lived in Ajijic 30 years ago and loved it. I speak some Spanish and was able to communicate sufficiently. But I got amoebas so bad I had to leave. I went back 4 tears ago and it was not the same. Too many expats. It didn’t seem like the Mexican Ajijic I was at years ago. Expats seem to be in abundance and have created a more Americanized culture It just seemed more harsh than it was when I was there before. The sweet, peaceful innocent Mexican culture I experienced before seemed to have become diluted! Dissipated.
Still there’s an undeniable special energy there that’s still evident. I recall thinking exactly that when I was there a few years ago. Even with so many expats.
I prefer to relate to Mexicans. My best friend was a Mexican psychologist when I lived there. Many good memories!
That was some fancy flute playing, how cool. That walk through the shops looked amazing, so busy and colorful. Your steak looked yummy. 👍❣️
I can hear all the food, fun, and leisure calling me to be there in Ajijic. Thanks for this experience of pure peace of mind.
I really appreciate your videos! It does seem like there are many misconceptions about Mexico. I know I am learning so much from CZcams! Mexico is way different from what I thought it was! Much better! I am so glad to see you saved the praying mantis! I would have done that too!
Not all of any country is wonderful. Mexico has its troubled spots and problems, We are fortunate to live in a special place, but there are many special places in Mexico. :)
I'm Mexican and an African american friend asked me if we have televisions in Mexico. When I explained to him that we do have televisions in Mexico, he asked if we make them in Mexico, again, I explained to him that there are factories in Mexico where televisions are produced. He then asked me if we have cars HAHAHAHAHA he actually thought that we still use horses for transportation in Mexico HAHAHAHAHA
Me encantan tus videos! Thanks for the honest talk and sharing ur life in Mexico!
Im mexican and just came across with your youtube channel, thumbs up to your videos, you ve got a new suscriber. Padrisimo video maistro.
Gracias! :)
I'm a native of Nayarit and I have never been at lake Chapala. I've been in California, Oregon and Wa state but never at Chapala what a irony living so close to it.
I've spent time on the coast in Nayarit. Beautiful places. Used to take my motor home into Playa Amor near San Blas. The beach towns of Soyulita and San Franciso. Look for my video about the Pisteleros ... friends in a small town near Tepic. Love the shrimp! :)

That's amazing entertainment the guy's on the top of that poll, Thanks Jerry and just enjoying your older videos again.
wow it is really tempting to move there with my mexican husband
Hi Jerry and Lynn and family, I hope you have a great time with your parent's .
Thank you for educating everyone that Mexico is not a 3rd world country a lot of ppl who never been or don’t educate themselves think the wrong idea from the media and news, in fact Mexico is one of the top 10 well Economic countries. 💵 🌎
And the 6th most visited country in the world. The US news media warns visitors may lose their heads. More likely they will lose their hearts. :)
Love your videos! We love magical Mexico...❤️
I live in Tucson, Az. An Orthopedist's appointment costs $300 dlls, a MRI around $1,800 dlls, a colonoscopy $1,600 dlls, we can not buy pain medicine without a prescription, we can not talk with the Doctor on the phone, we have to schedule an appointment, after a surgery a Doctor goes to your house & check on you or if the person can barely walk or move the Doctor goes to your house too; that's what I miss about Mexico. Going back to Guadalajara next month to live, I'm so excited.
Love your videos 💯👍
Anyone who complains about you shopping at Walmart has never been in one in Mexico! If they think it's going to be like their hometown Walmart, they are in for a BIG surprise! I know I was. Truly a "Mexican experience"! 😄
Food looked delicious, reasonably priced, too. Glad your daughter was able to visit...that’s always nice. Looking good, Lynn. Hair is so pretty. Thanks for sharing, JC.
Yeah, was going to say, Lynn looked smashing at the one restaurant.
Beautiful home and keep sharing good sir. Que tengas una vida de muchas bendiciones😄😄😄
thank you very kindly 'migo JC for the local tour and all your thoughts 👍🏻👍🏻
Noooooooo, don't find the male mantis a girlfriend!! She will eat him when they are done ;) LOL. Mmmm, Jerry, ALL those meals looked amazing. Wow, walking the malecon again, if only in my mind for now ;) Even though I recently read the lake is down 17 inches from it's high, it still looks pretty high to me. And walking all those shops near the malecon. Great memories. You make me homesick, sigh. Nice seeing the fam and Lynn on video again! PS: funny you mention the cost of an echocardiogram, $150 . I'll find out how much one is here since my Dr. wants me to have one done.
Let me know about the echo thingy in the States. :)
@@JCTravelStories Will do
Thanks for the recommendations... my parents in law are from Eugene, OR. They will be happy to see Ajijic
What a great vlog! Thanks so much...made my day all better...yay!
Thanks Jerry. I always enjoy your videos.

I needed this visit with you after a long crappy day...thanks

Great channel, i got nostalgic seeing the lake I used to go down there with my grandma, enjoy Mexico! ❤️
Wow the musicians!
What a beautiful country.I really enjoyed it. Love it.
I had to move to USA for a better salary (engineer) and give my kids education in English, but I love to watch your videos remembering how warm is my people over there, also the nice weather all the year. I can see my retirement back in Mexico.
Good plan for you and your family and the US was a winner, too, in having you. :)
Thanks Jerry! Just seen you have 27k subs. I can remember when it was 200. Good for you!!! God bless my friend!
Thanks, Deryl. :)
He is a super star and his biased opinions are lauded by 27k liberals
Lovely video. Very relaxing to watch. I enjoy your insights of daily life in Mexico. I wish I was there. Thank you
Nice tour. Glad you're enjoying time with family.
Love this guy!!!!
What a beautiful place .
Hi JC, What a great way to know how much everything is without surprise hidden cost, another nice tour. Nice to see Lynn, and happy that your family were visiting you both. What is there not to like, the lake is beautiful and plenty of things to do. Love the outdoor mall and entertainment.😎
And there's no added on sales tax!
Unbelievable! So nice.
Great video! On my very first day in Mexico, I was taken to a Walmart by a native who wanted to show me how to get around. I uploaded a video for my family and their first comment was "Wow! There's a Walmart in MEXICO!?" Here, in the town of Comitan, we have a Walmart and Sam's. I have shopped at the market but I prefer Walmart for the variety and selection. I do consider it a Mexican experience as I have access to my favorite local favorites like hand made tortillas and conchas and queso fresco. I like to go early in the morning so I can browse at my leisure before it gets crowded!
This is a great video. I love to see real life videos of Mexican life. I'd love to hear your top 10 ex Patriot locations for retired Americans to relocate to in Mexico! Thanks for your work on these.
That's a great suggestion for a video to list the top 10 expat locations in Mexico. However, I only talk about what I know. I've been to a few, not 10. Chapala/Ajijic my home, San Miguel de Allende ... pricey and colder than Ajijic. Melaque/Bara de Navidad ... wonderful in December, brutally hot in July.
I love Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas.
Visit queretaro.
@@JCTravelStories He didnt say expat. He said ex patriot! Are you going to address it? Are you a hater of the USA as well?
Trese Drek , please look in the dictionary. Expat is short for expatriate. An expatriate is someone who chooses to live abroad.
noun
/ˌeksˈpātrēət/
1.
a person who lives outside their native country.
"American expatriates in London"
It can also be a verb
Gracias. :)
Love it!!! That’s my birth State, Jalisco!!! Thank you for sharing some of our beautiful Mexico!!!
I get so sick of the “real Mexico” comments too. 😆 My Mexican friend was telling me how we might be getting a Walmart in Guanajuato and she was like, “Oh I hope so!” But yeah, if I go to the grocery store and not the Mercado, I’m not having a legitimate Mexican experience. LOL. Surprise, Mexicans shop at Walmart and grocery stores and Costco and they eat at Chili’s too. Oh and Starbucks. It’s not just for the expats.
But is good for views and fun to educate people, eh? OOPS. The "eh" slipped out. I'm not Canadian, but I hang around with some. LOL!
Why would anybody eat at a place like Chili's, especially in Mexico? That's like eating at McDonald's.
You can experience a real Mexico Walmart right here in the USA...
I’m Mexican and I go to Costco, Walmart, eat at Chili’s, etc. Nothing wrong with that. And yes, they’re here for the locals not immigrants. What I don’t get is US and in general rich country immigrants going to a foreign country and settling in the same place and surrounding themselves with the same people and recreating the same community they had back home.
@@pablovi77 That makes sense. I think it's important to do everything you can to integrate into your new community. But I will say, it's hard to live somewhere as a "foreigner" and sometimes you want something familiar. (Immigrants do this everywhere.) I think language makes it harder sometimes. I've been working hard at learning Spanish since we moved to Mexico, but I'm nowhere near fluent, so I'm very limited in that regard, especially because I live in Guanajuato, where there's not a ton of English spoken. So I can understand why some people would end up in communities of people who are very much like them, especially if the language barrier prevents them from fully integrating. But I do agree that making an effort is important!
Great Video!!.... Looking forward to my visit to your neighborhood!! It sounds so so great!!. An up comming happy event
Wow those pole musicians/acrobats! I have a cousin who lives and works in Mexico, she's been living there for about 10 years and loves her job and the people. She's living in Merida area. She blends in well with the locals as she looks Mexican yet born and raised in Canada and she became fluent in Spanish very quickly. However, she did come back to Canada for breast cancer treatment under her Mexican doctor's advice as we have better treatment for her particular cancer.
I am sorry to hear about your cousin, I hope she is doing fine by now. Too pitty she had that advice, maybe Mérida have not enough medical resources for a breast cáncer, but, México City, Guadalajara, Monterrey NL, I am pretty sure they have the best of the best, public and private. In México City at least, we have the National Institute of Cancer, one of the best in latinamerica and is public and free.
I enjoy your videos, Lynn is so beautiful 😍 I am happy for you and your family. Keep sharing.
Thank you
Great video buddy love you love your show

How very nice!!!!
Enjoyed another JC video of real life in Mexico. Although I only spent a day trip to lake chapala, I recall the boat ride and fresh lunch on scorpion island. Keep making those videos JC.

Blessed I tell you , Blessed !
Matthew 16: 26What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 27For the Son of Man will come in His Father’s glory with His angels, and then He will repay each one according to what he has done.… John 14:6 Jesus said "I am the way,the truth, and the life; no man come to the Father but by me."
Very beautiful city Chapala, I go there every 2yrs. when I visit parents in Estipac" I could see why it's a great place to visit!
You've got me convinced i need to take a vacation to your world . I've done the tourist thing to Cancun but didn't see the real Mexico .keep up the great videos
@.@ ofc you shop at Wal-Mart. That's the main supermaket in every place I've been to in Mexico. Definitely not a gringo thing. Looking forward to cost of living breakdown for Guadalajara. Never seen prices on the wall in any medical facility. Would probably induce a cardiac event.
You right about cardiac event if suddenly prices star appearing on hospital walls
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT "BUILD THE WALL" ?
@@gustavotrevizo6957 I hope you don't think Trump represents most of the United States. I am embarrassed for my country right now. He lost the popular vote in the election but we have to endure him because we still have the electoral college. The wall is a stupid, expensive and ineffective idea and it wiil never get built.
They don't post prices in US hospitals, because there isn't enough room for all those zeros ! :-)

Thanks for the video, I met a comunity in Chapala, they were only Canadians, Americans and some Europeans, you're wonderful they were always looking to help native people from the town.
And its true, México has many faces, we have our problems as any country in the world has. But Mexico is wonderful, is better stop watching those Americans bad news and start exploring the new Mexico. Welcome everyone.
Great video!
Well hey there JC. Hope your doing well. Love your videos 😁
I love your videos a lot
Thanks, Jose! :)
Beautiful area, I love those little shops. Clinic looks nice too. Not an over abundance of sick people waiting like here in the states.
So you base your analysis on a single visit and a section of video of about 5 minutes in a mexican clinic to all people in all US waiting rooms ? Is that wise?
@@gigiis526 are you serious? That would be ignorant. I made an observation of their clinic compared to mine. As a person who dr.s keep trying to eliminate and learning how to best take care of me. I just found it amazing the difference. I'm wondering why you seem to have a problem with MY observation. Did you happen to notice their office visit prices.
It takes a strong man to suffer ignorance and smile 😄👍
Thanks for that comment. Steel is made by putting iron in the fire. :)
Thanks Hack
The governance of the Ajijic area should be reimbursing you for the advertising you provide ! Thanks for another informative (and entertaining) video.
Buena idea! :)
Great video
Jerry,
You are so correct. You will see very few gringos to the east in Chapala or to the west in Jocotepec. However, there are lots of them in Ajijic. That's why I prefer to live in San Antonio Tlayacapan. I'm a middle of the road kind of guy.
I did a gringo count at the Ajijic plaza last Friday afternoon as I sipped my coffee. The ratio was 30:1 in favor of the mexicanos.
Bonito lugar👍saludos jc
Been enjoying your videos. I was glad to see they have hamburgers 🍔☺
