Very nice video but the real estate prices shown at the beginning of the video were SCARY!!! Looks like another once affordable place has been taken over by Americans with more money than brains.

In expat havens like Ajijic or Tulum, probably, but in general I think people like to blame expats for rising costs. In reality, I believe it’s just the economics of the world. Prices are rising everywhere and it has little to do with foreigners moving.

Careful you don't twist your ankle on the cobbled streets of Ajijic.

Too many Canadian drug dealers on Chapala. I'd stay away.

Interesting, this is the 1st time to hear of this., I’m sure it’s there but the town itself is really nice and laid back, from a tourist perspective

@@brussell1626 That's what all drug dealers say. They're "gaslighters" false accusing others of what they do.

@@MissionaryInMexico Or you're literally just a whackaloon. The place is spotless and people seem laidback and happy, doesn't seem like a place to stay away from because of Canadian drug dealers that may or may not exist.... are they bringing prescription medications with them to sell to American retirees? Insulin maybe?
