- What Stupid Got Me! Our last day in the US before we fly home to Mexico. Stories of retired life in Ajijic, Mexico on the shores of Lake Chapala. Projects at home in the mountains of central Mexico, our USA travels in a 40' Monaco motor home, or whatever else is on my mind today.

I am from Russia and I have been living in Mexico for 5 years and I love it and I do not regret anything. Mexico is a very big country with many opportunities. Mexico is impressive. Mexico is very similar to Russia. Also all my family and friends are moving to Mexico this year 🇲🇽🇷🇺

I am from Canada and I prefer to live in Mexico. In the United States, in USA , they live to work. They don’t have another routine. The majority of Americans have depression because they just spend their time locked up and working. The 3 countries of North America USA 🇺🇸 Mexico 🇲🇽 and Canada 🇨🇦 are very similar Mexico has better places than the United States

Agree those are true goals!!! People dont know ... Working my ass of as a legal mexican in america and i grew up in the usa but i cant wait for retirement in mexico... My husband and i are building a ranch but i told him i kinda want to move to the beach near tijuana because i have contacts their where i can get a job using my bilingual skills... I have contacts to work in a dr office pary time earning 2500 pesos a week ... Which is enough to live comfortable plus my retirement but i wonder if i could make it with that as now ...just nice to know we all have options as long as we are willing to put the plan in action

The Trump wall is to try to prevent drugs passing through and prevent illegal immigration and rapes and murders from Los Coyotes who rape Woman and small girls, when woman and small girls get ready to cross the border they take birth control pills because they know the risk they are taking, I love my home country of Mexico and am tired of these horrendous things that happen in the border it's important to keep mis paisanos safe, but i admit i prefer living in Mexico more of a relaxed life, in the US its so fast paced which is my wife and i live a minimalist life style, 👌

I'm in Michigan, where the winters are long and cold. I enjoyed all the beading you showed too. My husband is Oneida, and Potawatomi Indian. His mother is Oneida, and that is where they register. At least here in our part of the woods, the children, register under their mother's nation. Their Reserve is in Canada, branches off from the Oneida's in New York. There's another branch in Wisconsin, I believe. So we are waiting to get my 19 year old daughter registered through her grandmother's nation. Lots of paperwork, because it's in Canada. I think that you did the best thing for you and your wife. You live in a piece of paradise that I will never see. I'm 38 with a dumb stopwatch that occasionally, makes me angry. And occasionally, I consider getting my husband a new wife since I was never able to have kids and this will keep him from depression as I fail. Actually, getting the news put him in the worst depression he's known. The beadwork was beautiful. I've never had the money for true beadwork like that but my mom had such an interest before she died.

Lake Chapala it's paradise, We Americans go by what the social media says,they always expose the negative things about the rest of the world not the would ones,we are gritty, we don't want other places to be better than us,
Is the lake back to reAsonable levels? It was so dry a few years ago it was extremely ugly & sad-looking. I live on beautiful lake un US resort community & don’t want to make a mistake. Just a little restless & much more expensive here from what we hear.
Stupid is what stupid does and I sure would be stupid too. but I probably won't have such a beautiful house like you have. but something similar because the life in Mexico is so cheap that's why people moved there so they could be closer to the loved ones in the US so hell with those people who are haters. Keep up the good info I enjoy your stories and will help me out when I get ready to move there.
