Hi Jerry, you and Lynn are the type of people that can make opening a tupperware bowl interesting, not many people can do that. Thank you for sharing, your community and I appreciate it!
Thanks for the kind words. BTW … I have a great grand daughter named Valentina.
Glad to see you guys back.. you are such a sweet and loving couple… very inspiring
Thank you so much!
CZcams hasn't put any of your videos in my feed this year..Now I'll be binge watching to catch up. 😮😊
Thanks for that plan. :)
Hello Jerry & Lyn Nice to See Both of You Again Seems Very Enjoyable Living There 🙏❤️
Gerry, you are such a kind and loving husband to Lynne. He takes such good care of her and I love her hairdo today. I enjoy your videos, no matter what the subject is and every time I see your beautiful home I wish I could have one just like it
Thanks for the kind words, Jan. BTW …. It’s Jerry.
Well There you are!!! 😮😊
Yep, every where I go. :)
You’re a good husband to Lynn. Thank you Jerry for all of your hard work! Love watching your videos!
Thanks Sherry! :)
Love the vibrant colors on your house
Thanks! So do we. :)
Jerry, so glad to hear you and Lynn are okay! If you want some story ideas, I love to see you go to little business, talk with the owners and show us what they make or sell. Some examples; hardware stores, wooden furniture makers or someone who upholsters furniture, garden equipment stores, bakeries, household goods, etc. Again, good to see you back at home.
Thanks for the suggestions, Karla. Good ideas! :)
I watched your journey for a long time, I lost you, they didn’t put you up and I thought you stopped. It’s nice to see your family again. Been watching Russian videos for a couple years. I take care of my deaf and blind daughter so my routine is very close to home too.
Welcome back!
Thank you for updating!!
Love this!! ❤❤
Goog Morning & Happy MOMs Day
As always, thank you and blessings to you.
Same to you!
I love the videos of you and Lynn talking and telling stories. You are such a wonderful couple.
Thanks!
Thank you Mr. Jerry for all your hard work making videos and providing enjoyable and informative content. Glad you took a break for yourself. 😊. Praying a very Happy Mother’s Day for Miss Lynn. 💗
I always enjoy your video content.
Thanks.
Stay happy. Stay well. Peace.
I *love* turnips. But I like them best raw. I used to eat turnips and radishes straight out of the garden. And green peas, too!
We grow radishes because they are not available her in Mexico. Seems to be a foreign concept.
Good to see you two doing well. I figured you were burn't out and needed a break, I know I sure would! Have fun kids, that's what it's all about.
Thanks for sharing
Even though Lynn struck out with her first love she hit a home run with you.
I'm the lucky one. Her first husband went on to be a doctor.
@@JCTravelStories I meant Don Drysdale.
Oh … 😱. “Struck out”. I missed that. Now I feel even more lucky.
Lucky for her, lost my better half in 21’ , about when things got crazy for me, so used to his sensible advice that I really messed up my life. Moved to Montana was my move and it’s like moving to another country.
Thank you for the update. It has been good seeing both of you.
Thanks for watching!
Great to see you back. But it’s great to hear you are fine, yet still had time to take a break. We need need that from time to time.
We appreciate you,thanks for sharing
My pleasure!
Always a treat to see a new video! Happy Mother's Day Lynn!
Thank you so much!
I’m glad the you and Lynn are doing fine!🤗
Most people that are new to your channel will not go back and watch all the old videos... so maybe do some new videos of the same topics? I think keeping people updated on things is a good idea. Ride around town, what's new in the last few years. Have there been improvements, are there more expats in the area. Where you hang out if you go into town. Other expats. I am interested in single female retirees. I have not seen any videos by them or about them, or they are few and far between. As a single woman nearing retirement, I just want to see some familiarity.
Of course, you are correct that most new people will not binge on old videos. Time for some updates. Regarding your expressed interest …. I'm not allowed to know any thing about single retired females. :)
@@JCTravelStories LMAo!!!
Not such a thing as “Expats” 😂 don’t be afraid to be called immigrants, after all we are all immigrants at some point
Thanks for the video Jerry, I very much enjoy them! Hello to Lynn!
Glad you like them!
So glad you both are doing well! No matter how mundane the topic may seem, your videos about life in Mexico are always wonderful! Keep up the great work!
Glad you like them!
Always a good feeling when the decluttering of the shop is done!!)

Thanks for your support. :)
Hi Jerry, It's nice to see that you and Lynn are doing well. I enjoyed your comment about "guacamole falling from the sky" and noticed again how colorful your house is, the yellow is stunning!
Miss ya. Hi to Liz.
Good morning to you Jc. I'm very glad to see you back online after being away for one month. There are a few people nowadays who really go that far to take care of their significant others. What a sweet thing. God bless you and give you the health because you're a good man.
Fred is one of your long subscribers. Happy mother's day to lynn
Thanks for the kind words. :)
You're a good man, Jerry.
Thanks for saying so. :)
Hi there! Been watching you for several years now. Have really enjoyed you! Love you both, big hugs!

First time seeing yours & Lynns video
Appreciate your realistic take on a better quality of life.
Having recently started searching the Lake Chapala / Ajijic area I look forward to seeing some of your past videos.
Stay well & purge on !!
Welcome Kimberly! Glad you found us. :)
Even though I wasn’t one of the people that inquired I’m glad to hear all is well.
Happy Mother’s Day Lynn! 💕
Thanks!
You certainly do keep busy Jerry. Maintenance never ends.
I'd be bored with a project … maintenance counts.
Hey, I thought Lynn was going to sing !
We love your videos be well
Love your comments. You be well, too. :)
He took a trip around the compound, and they BOTH forgot about singing😂🤠✌️

You're welcome!
We love you and Lynn! ♥️♥️
wow, Gerry you still amaze me after 5 years or so! And Lynn you look amazing xoxoox. I'll be sending an email next month I'm coming to explore Mexico and at some point, I'll be close to yall ,love to take you to dinner or lunch.
My mother spelled my name Gerry. I changed it in the first grade. The reading book for learning starred Alace, Spot, and Jerry. Had to go home and tell my Mom she was wrong.
Greetings 👋🏼 from the simple life in Yucatan 🌊☀️
I thought we were going to get a tune from Lynn! I was looking forward to sharing with my 6 year old granddaughter! Lynn's songs are so fun!
Email me her name. I'll dedicate a song to her. Jc.Travel.Stories@gmail.com
Your day to day life offers plenty of "content": I found when traveling that the history is interesting, but the way the average person navigates life is truly fascinating. Running errands, especially purchasing food and other necessities, is great content. I don't think you should worry about repeating any content either, things change and most people won't go back to find a video from years ago. I love the brilliant colors you've used on your house, its very uplifting. Good video, thanks. 😁😁😎😎👍👍
When we bought the first part of the house every wall and the floor was white. Glad you like my colors. :)
@@JCTravelStoriesSomeone said "People should be like flowers." I totally agree,
Saludos desde Oregon. Happy Mother’s Day to Lynn
Hola!
I used to watch and listen to Don Drysdale on the Dodgers telecast on KTTV Channel 11 in Los Angeles in the 80s. Sad how he died suddenly and at a young age in 1993. Great story by Lynn.
NICE TO SEE YOU DOING VIDEOS AGAIN .! My favorite ones were the ones on "assisted living " I wonder if they are stll reasonably priced . One never knows when the need will arise ! Also, since rentals/ housing is getting very expensive in Axixik , how about telling us about towns around the lake that are still reasonably priced . Thank you again for the nice job you 've done for us north of the border contemplating a move .Adios
Yes, maybe time for an update on the facilities for seniors.
Hi Jerry and Lynne. Great to see you again.
I remember watching the hummingbirds with Lynn on Quartzsite.
Hope she is doing well.
You guys are looking great! Still riding your 3 wheeled bike? Jan
The trike, the Jeep, and the RV stay in Arizona when we come home to Mexico. Enjoy your summer. :)
👍👍👍missed you
Missed you guy's.
Glad you're fine & Lynn. 💙~+~🕊💨
Thank you!
This is such an interesting video! I have been following for quite a while now, I love Arizona videos as well because I love going there in Winter! I was trying to remember how many years I have been going to Mexico and spending anywhere from 21 days to 4-5 months each year... Last year two trips totaled almost 6 months in Mexico... The year before I split it up between Arizona, Texas, and Mexico... Being from Oregon I really appreciate the Warmth in the cooler months over here... right now the nice weather has begun in Oregon but I am already dreaming of where in Mexico I would like to spend some time and how I will afford it :) Thanks for the inspirational video! Much love to you and Lynn... She is lovely with her shorter hair! Great to hear of the routine in the morning.. Valuable ideas!
We seem to have some of the same circles of life. Oregon, Mexico, Arizona. Be well Diana!
@@JCTravelStories Thank you! Blessings and health back at ya! :)
Don Drysdale was my favorite baseball player when I was a kid also. I wish that I still had those baseball cards.
So… is 53 a part of your life?
Nice
Jerry, I am mesmerized with the color of that wall at the end. It is beautiful. How did you guys came up with that red color and looks like faded? Wow...!😍
A red paint brush in one hand, a burnt orange paint sponge in the other hand and don't do a very good job of covering. I learned it from a Mexican friend.
5 años ya?? 😳 da gusto verles bien! 👋
You need a break from time to time, and everyone needs a break!
super🙂
Jerry my favorites are when you just talk about mexico life. Maybe just redo some of your original ones.
I was thinking about reposting some of my older videos.
grat backyard
The gardener does a great job. :)
Now that you point it out, I believe I've been watching it for 6 years +.. I must really like your videos because it doesn't seem like 400.... Oh surely I watch 90%..... I'll have to go back and watch videos and say yup , see that one yup Yep, see that 1 too.....lol...lol.....
Thanks for your years of support. :)
A video showed me that cooking in tin foil puts some aluminum in your food and it builds up in your brain. I thought who doesn’t do that, interesting your comment about barbecuing with it. The Russian cooking videos of happy old people, their title, use pottery to bake with as they live totally off grid. Your voice is so soothing, my husband I used to watch you together, but Covid got him. So Google reconnected me surprisingly, thought you just stopped making videos.
I've also read about the danger of cooking in aluminum. Nope. Never stopped. Sorry about your husband.
Hello Jerry and Lynn
Hello little sea gull. :)
Good morning. Thanks for the update on cost in Ajijic costs. Inflation is out of control in the U.S. The peso to u.s.d. exchange is of no help. Best wishes to you both. 💸💸👋
Working on that video. I always got sticker shock going north to the USA. This spring it’s coming south to Mexico. Inflation is world wide. At Walmart the other day looking at bacon. Meat counter clerk offered some from the case … not prepackaged which is always cheaper but fatty. It looked good so I agreed to a half kilo not asking about the price. It was 600 pesos per kilo. 600 / 2.2 = 273 / 16.8 = $16 US dollars per pound. It was REALLY good bacon …. but ….
Great video! Do you have Homeowners Insurance in Mexico? Our Rates have gone up from about $920 per year 5 years ago to more than $4,800 dollars this year, 2024! Unbelievable, nearly 5 X as much over the same number of years for no good reason. Give Lynn a big hug from all of us here in sweltering Hot Central Florida!
I used to have home owners insurance here years ago because I came from the USA with a mindset that it was necessary. I cancelled it when I did some math. First … Bought with cash no mortgage no requirement. Second it’s brick, concrete, and tile. Can't burn … don't need fire insurance. Earth quake wasn't covered. Personal liability civil lawsuits are limited in Mexico. That leaves theft and vandalism. You can not carry enough out of my house in one trip to equal the cost of insurance …. And the loss would be deductible on my USA income tax. No. I don't pay for home owners insurance in Mexico. I lost a ladder last year. It walked. Cost $150 to replace it. Let's call it self insured.
@@JCTravelStories that's awesome! I've been trying to do the calculations myself here in the US, and I'm in a similar boat, but I have my home paid off, however I live in Central Florida which gets a lot of hurricanes every year. We've been pretty lucky here as most of the homes have been standing since 1950 with no major damage that I'm aware of anywhere in the city from any natural disaster. You definitely give me something to think about. Thanks so much for your feedback, I love following you guys in Mexico. Considering a relocation ourselves now that we have just retired. Everything in Florida is getting crazy expensive and even though I've been here since 1970, it may be time to make a change. Thanks for the great videos and sharing your life with us.
I don’t think you need to find something new . We just like to visit with you and Lynn.
Thanks Karen. :)
Please send avacados🥑
I miss them SO VERY MUCH!
I grew up in Southern Calif (big beautiful avacado, orange, tangerine, lemon, lime, fig😊 trees- to name a few of the wonderful treats growing in the yard)& now am in PacificNorthwest (no avacado trees🥑- other wonderful treats, but no avacado🥑)
Yes, we're in avocado heaven. We have another even bigger tree that fruits in October. When we bought the house 20 years ago there were 7 mature avocado trees on the property. I think two died of old age. We cut down two that made a mess in the pool, and another one was taken out in the construction of our living room. They were all different kinds that fruited at different time of the year. Curiously, none were ever haas … which is what you get in the States.
@@JCTravelStories
We didn't have haas either. They were big with a lot of flavor. To say the least, I grew up spoiled with all that tasty fruit & GOOD Mexican food. O how I miss the food!!
@@JCTravelStories
We used to put a tarp down under the fruited trees to try & help with the mess. I just remembered walking to school with an avocado or an orange in my pocket for lunch.

Todo lo que haces en tu casa es buen motivo para un video, mientras lo haces sería bueno que filmaras.
Bueno saber Filmé haciendo fideos de huevo ayer.
Do you have a Mico wave? If you do you fork holes in the turn up and then Mico wave it until fork tender. Or cook it like you woumd a potato on the grill.
I'll try it.
With a little imagination it looks like a baby elephant peeking over your shoulder while sitting in the brown chair! lol
I'll have to go look at the video myself and see if it really is a baby elephant.
They added some bs rta tax to build some decade long train system in Seattle so my Tesla is about $700 a year. I’ll be retired and moved out of the area before it will even be in my current area. House water bill is right around $150 a month and that’s if I use water or don’t use any water. Property taxes on 1800 sq ft house in north Seattle area for 740k house are like $4900 a year.
Yep. You listed several reasons I left Portland after 27 years.
Hello, Jerry. How did you and Lynn meet? Was she a homemaker or a career woman? I love your channel.
That's in a past video also 👍🤠✌️
She was a friend of my first wife.
My property taxes went up more than 300% from 2023 to 2024. When we went to the tax office, they said that they have started raising the rates on larger, foreigner owned properties. It is still much less than what we paid for property taxes on the US. We love your videos. Keep up the good work!
Unless you’re in the Chapala tax district, you should get a 50% discount if you're over 60 years old. Where are you?
My Husband is a Mexican * and US citizen He owns property in Puebla, MX His property taxes went from 400 pesos to 3000 pesos... They claimed it was due to improvements made... when actually it was his neighbors on 3 sides that built walls... Jajaja... But since he had to pay, he is now making improvements! FINALLY, after 30 years!!
I’m in Riberas del Pilar. I didn’t know about the discount. Thanks!!
@ slfortino …You're in the Chapala tax district. You will not get a discount …. Unless you are a Mexican citizen over 60 years old. Joco gives the discount. Too many foreigner owned homes in Chapala.
@JCTravelStories how big is chapala tax district? Is it similar to county in US? Guadalajara gives tax exemption? Or any agricultural area nearby?
I saw
I see.

@@JCTravelStories almost forgot,,,The morning coffee. I feel it is different from other parts of the world. I said it is better.

@CaliforniaTravelerVlog HI,,I'm back,,any good steak house in Ajijic???.
How do you light the oven
It lights itself when I turn on the gas.
You forgot Miss. Lynn song!
She's practicing.
🙂👍⚘️⚘️
Don’t do this expecting the dollar to remain strong/up. Budget for a weak dollar. Live on less than half of your pesos, as possible, and bank or mattress the rest.
Like in the past few years: You lived on MXN$20 per $, then lost 30% when it dropped to 17. What if it goes to 10?! Or even 8?! Have at least a cushion saved up.
You’ve been warned.
This is good advice. When I moved to Mexico, the exchange rate was 10: 1. The growing economy of Mexico, and the messed up political system in the USA make a stronger peso and weaker dollar a good bet.
Have you ever had a dog in Mexico?
My neighbor has a dog that thinks I'm part owner/master. He visits often and has his favorite rug in my house.
My neighbor has a dog who thinks I'm part owner/ master. He visits often and has a favorite rug in my house for an afternoon rest.
Mexico is the best, great food but dangerous as he l l
Not having yet been to hell …. But living in Mexico for over 20 years …. That has not been our experience.
@@JCTravelStories you did see the murders of the two American surfers? They dumped the bodies in a drain. This goes on all the time.travelling to puerto penasco from phoenix’s to Mexico on the 85 south between the gangs and corrupt police oh and being stopped by the male drug addict Mexicans to beg for money. I owned property and a house for ten years and I sold it all 15 lots in a subdivision on the water. I’ll never go back. I got out safely with my life.its common the Mexican cartels killings . But yes it’s safe until it’s not safe.
Yes, correct ….. it’s safe until it’s not. You lived in a dangerous place. Mexico is a big place. It’s not all like your experience. I'm going to assume you didn't return to south Chicago. It was 3 not 2 surfers and they were Australian, not Americans who were murdered and thrown in a well. Yesterday the cartel turned over the perpetrator who was not part of the cartel.
@@JCTravelStories I don’t believe that was the guy they just wanted to solve the case so foreigners would still come to Mexico and spend their money
Too hot! Patzcuaro at 7,000 feet has a better climate
I certainly agree today. Can't wait for the rains to start and cool it down. Hos the lake level there?.

Biden inflation
Just curious …. Are you suggesting Biden is responsible for inflation here in Mexico?
