- We've been home about a week enjoying paradise. Retired life in Ajijic, Mexico on Lake Chapala. RV Life. Projects in the mountains of central Mexico, our USA travels in a 40' Monaco motor home, or whatever else is on my mind today. :)

I did the same thing all winter now I can't walk because I sat too Long now I have to get back to moving around so I can walk with a walker.
Doesn't work for me. I need to do something productive every day, or I feel bad about my day. Even on the weekends. I'm near retirement, and I cannot imagine not working. I'm planning n working as long as I'm able. My dad retired at 62 and he died within 5 years.

Jerry, your videos helped my wife and I, decide to investigate living at Lake Chapala. We've been watching for several years (4ish?). Two years ago we moved here and love it. Your videos not only showed us what a lovely place it is, but, also helped with practical things like paying property taxes, etc. Love your videos. Keep up the good work!

Welcome back!!! It’s great to see you both safe and sound, back in town. The gardens look gorgeous! She did an extraordinary job! I noticed you didn’t show the lake. Hahahaha…..guess what I’m doing right now……making a beaded bracelet. My first, have to say it looks pretty good. Started out making Shungite necklaces. Many properties in that meteorite. I must have made over 70-80 necklaces………gave them all away. Then I started working on wire “fun” rings. Before I took a break, I was making ‘tree of life’ pendants or necklaces. I’d go crazy looking through all those beads and crystals…etc. DARN….OREGON IS A LITTLE TOO FAR AWAY. (Medford Or.). Oh well. Take care Jerry. Enjoyed your song Lynn!

He was only here 1.5 yr.s. The pair I have now I neVer let out.,I left front door to entry open n they brought IN 2 mice! Kody kat knows I love the chmunks so she carefully placed a baby grey mouse in my chair! I found it there stuck,in a furry thing. Ha! I took it,out,n gave,itmsome cream.

Is your water expensive?
Bottled drinking water is 28 pesos per 5 gallon bottle delivered. 34 cents USD a gallon. City water bill for house hold use is about $200 a year. Gardens are watered out of my well.

I have a Mexican gardener who does a great job and has worked for me for 20 years. The housesitter is a British lady who spends her summers in Canada and her winters here in my home in Mexico. She’s the master gardener.

I think you drive back and forth from Ajijic to the USA to go RVing, ect? What is the best route to avoid hazards?
We've not driven for years. The best route is Guadalajara, Dallas, Phoenix on American Airlines. Never had any troubles driving on the autopistas. Nogalas Mazatlan, Tepic, Guad. Or from the east Lorado, Monterrey, Zacatecas , Guad.

I always enjoy your videos. It's always good to see Lynne too. Your place is so lovely. I hear that two thirds of Mexico is run by the Cartels. Is that true, and do you ever run into them?
I don't know who's running Mexico, but they're doing it pretty well.
I wish people would stop making videos and encourage more people to move to this area. Foreigners believe they the best things that has happen to this area without any insight to the consequences to the locals.
Having lived here for 23 years, I have a little insight into that. Some good some bad. The only constant in life is change. Some adapt, some long for the good ole days. Be happy.
