I still have great memories of riding Mustang horses in Chapala back in 1964. thanks for taking us along for the ride.
@TequilaMotosandTravel I am kind of dating myself.
My Shetland pony died of a rattle snake bite on his nose in 1957. By 1964 I was in college … dating.

Loved the song. And the trip to Joco. Before the pandemic, we had planned to move there, but my hubby changed his mind. Your road trip gave a little tug at my heart.

Jerry and Lynn you guys are awesome and a beautiful couple. Thank you always for being such a wonderful couple. Greetings from an expat in Toluca México 😊
One of my favorite things in Mexico … the Cosmosvitral.
Looks like a lovely day for a ride and an important errand. C'mon Jerry, Lynn was just resting her eyes, my hubby of 57 years does the same. Every day is cherished. 🌷
So … when they are resting their eyes, they're also resting our ears … right? LOL!
Yes! 😂
Gracia's beautiful song!
Thanks!
The song was my favorite part of the show.... 😊
It was my favorite part of making the show! :)

We love you Lynn!!! Oh yeah Jerry your steering wheel squeaks. Lol
It’s become a trademark.
I love the video and chápala
101 comment. Hallow Jerry, SALUDOS from your fan JOSE P. Born in TUXCUECA1952, now living in Orange County Ca since 1960. One time you did a small portion of a video of my hometown on a Saturday afternoon, that whas great. I share that video with all my family and friends they love it AGAIN THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR VIDEOS, AMIGO PULIDO. ( will be waiting for the next one)
I don't remember Tuxcueca. It must have been the day I followed a motorcycle club through Concepcion de Buenos Aires. Lynn picked a lot of wild flowers on that trip and made a framed display of them. It’s hanging across the room from me. I'll talk about it and show it in my next video. Thanks for jogging my memory of a wonderful day, Jose.
Nice to go along for the ride , I driven that route 100's of times , you did mention topes , just not how many , I count 25 from , East side of the fish restaurants to the stop light in Joco , that's not counting the two illegal topes that popped up for a couple of days last week , same time as the new tope's at the Joco libramento , and then there are 4 more , Ajijic to Fish restaurants , at least when they repaved the road in San Juan they got rid of the diagonal tope at the West end of town , that was a real ball buster .😎
Years ago I counted 23 topes from the west side of Joco to Ajijic. More now. They come and go. I have a tope test car … my BMW roadster. I know which streets I can't go on. On the other hand, I rarely drive my van down Colon. 23. Wish I had my lifted Jeep down here.
awesome.
And we didn't even have dog content …
This was very informative...thank you.
You're welcome!
I didn't know that.
Thank you.
You are welcome. :)

Thanks!

Lovely singing
Lovely comment. Thanks!
Buenos dias señor from the UK 🇬🇧
Gracias amigo!
$2500.-- pretty cheap, compared to Medicare for 2 people $4200.--. Wonderful video and
scenery. And you know Medicare only pays 80% (and some things they don't cover at all)
In my area here in Oregon my yearly visit which doesn't include much, just a short visit and blood pressure, it cost me $200 OUT of pocket and only included a basic Bloodwork... In Mexico my doctor there charged me about $ 6. for a visit and the lab charged me $60. for EVERY test imaginable including a UA
We have Medicare and Humana in the USA. Yep. $175 a month … unless your income is over $103k per year. The adjustment can be up to almost $600 per month for Part B. IMSS has always been a great deal.
Love Lynn’s tie-dye shirt ! ❤ Was she a hippie back in the day?
We're going to take the 5th on the hippie question. Got the tie die in Quartzite Arizona for her birthday in February.
Looks like some new high rises since I went there last.
Yep. Lots of building going on.
In case you didn't notice, your steering wheel squeaks!
I don't actually notice it at all while I'm driving … only while I'm editing a video. I was going to WD40 it, but then I'd miss out on all these wonderfully witty comments. :)
😊 Good morning, JC
You should be very jealous. We love Lynn. Not to say we don't love you too. But she is special. God bless her.
Yes, I have to ration your viewing of her … otherwise you'd all forget about me.
She just resting her eyes my moms favorite saying
And my grandmother's saying also. Those girls keep passing it on.
Lol 😂. I agree on the immigrants, but I didn’t know people got bothered for not calling them expats
I sort of misstated that. Some people get upset when I refer to myself as an expat instead of an immigrant I don’t understand it either way.
Thanks Jerry, It has been many years.😊
Many years? Where have you been?
@@JCTravelStories Vegas, Quartzsite and following you.😀
Ah .. thanks Doug. :)
Ah … Thanks, Doug. :)
Hi my friend I see you found a metate my mom used to use it to grind corn to make tortillas love your videos
Thanks for naming it. I knew the word, but could come up with it as I was videoing.
Great info about imss, I didn’t know you have to qualify and not have pre existing conditions, thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Loved the video, thanks for taking us along. I was awe struck when I saw the trees on the right side about 10:19. Do you know what kind of tree it was? Absolutely loved you two singing together. Brought a tear to my eye!! 🥰
The red flowering tree is an African flame or African tulip tree.
@@JCTravelStories Tabachín or Flamboyán in Mexico, depending on the region. They are so beautiful!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. I'm an immigrant. I immigrated from Michoacan to California.... My parents still have their beautiful home in Michoacan. It's about 2 and half hours away from Ajijic...👍👍👍👍
Michoacán is beautiful! My favorite is the waterfall park in Uruapan.
🙏🙏🙏
If that's a prayer for …. Thanks!
Hello to you and Miss Lynn. thanks for sharing beautiful Mexico. It is hard to find a good lawyer in Mexico. do you mind sharing information from the lawyer you see in Mexico? Thank you!

My wife salid YOUboth are cute and I agree!❤
I don't know about me, but I agree about her. :)
Have you done any past videos of introducing “ immigrants” who are considering relocating to the Lake Chapala area to the different neighborhoods ?
😎
Did something like that in a few neighborhoods a few years ago. I remember doing San Antonio, Chula Vista, La Floresta … time to do some updates.
Hi, Jerry and Lynn. Beautiful place.
It really is!
Believe or not,,,I just meet our friend Jerry Brown ,,,all by coincidence, too bad we getting ready for our trip back to the states .
Jerry and Lori are great!
Using the Train excuse!!!
I try to read every comment someone takes the time to write. I can not figure yours out. What am I missing? Am I going to have to go back and watch my own video to remember using a train excuse? Help me out here, Clayton. :)
Hey guys! Hubby & I are also retired & live WAY north of you on Interstate 5, in Eugene, Or. Joto looks like an interesting place to spend some time. If you don't mind sharing, I do have a question: you mention your INSS is $2500 for the year. In the big picture of living in any particular place, what makes living there worth this amount of money? I've never lived any place but the U.S., so I'm curious. Have a blessed and beautiful day. LUCRETIA
Thanks for the question, Lucretia. Of course, there is never one single reason for life's choices, but regarding health insurance … we moved from Portland after 27 years in the rain and found sunshine. At the time our Blue Cross/Blue shield of Oregon policy was $800 a month. IMSS at that time (2003) was $300 each for the year. It’s gone up in 20 years, but the premium is also age related. We're 20 years older and paying lots more than younger people. It’s still cheaper than Medicare part B in the States … which we also have.
Thank you for explaining that. I did watch your video where you explained the numbers also. Yes, it can be a bit rainy in the PNW. And I have come to recognize...without that dreary rain we would not have the lushness I love so much- at least that's how I've come to tolerate it.😂 You guys have a blessed day.
Your steering wheel in your old van is squeaking !
It sounds that way. Actually it’s my elbows when I drive.
🙂👍⚘️⚘️
❤️👀🎶
lol..."Get over it; we're immigrants."🤣
Expat, Immigrant,... i just call myself "Gringo "...
👍🤠✌️
Would it be possible to link your lawyer/facilitator. I will be searching for a home near there.
Not in a comment. Ask me in an email. Jc.Travel.Stories@gmail.com
So... if you get seriously ill, are you really going to wait in the queue for IMSS service? Or will you just pay cash on the barrelhead to get treated immediately, like I always do? If you have a house in Ajijjic and multiple lawyers, you almost certainly wealthy enough to self-insure. In that case, what EXACTLY is the point of IMSS? This is a Real Question by the way! I have had IMSS for 15 years, never used it once, probably will never use it, and every single year, when I renew it, I ask myself the same question: Why EXACTLY am I doing this?
It’s a very good and serious question, Jim. I, too, ask it every year as the premium goes up and I've never used it either. It has been a blessing for some meds for Lynn who is a chronic pain patient for nearly 40 years. This year I asked my private doctor and he told me some horror stories about serious illnesses and accidents and the potential cost (like millions of pesos or tens of thousands of dollars) when people were transported to private hospitals. He highly recommended not to cancel it. I'm taking his advice.
