You really saved yourself from the massive pain of having to reassemble the clear piece to the brushbar motor housing. First off when I did mine I was unable to remove the deep down screws holding the brushbar motor housing in. All other screws were out and when i lifted the unit I almost broke off the screw holders on the brushbar motor housing. Cracked but not off all the way. Reassemble is a major pain, having to get the brushbar motor in the correct position, then having the resistance from the spring and brushbar motor gasket makes you hesitant to reassemble. I took it apart last night for the second time. I was hoping to wait until I get some JB weld to reinforce the cracked piece but I ultimately decided to skip that out. I did remove the whole assembly and wash it so theres that. Well theres my little rant on that. Just a quick tip if you ever decide to embark on this dissasembly journey: 1: You won’t get it right the first time. And keep an eye out for the brushbar connection piece. 2. Its going to be hard to push them together but thats normal. Before reinstalling screws, push the 2 halves together and make sure everything is sealed. If theres still an opening that wont close, you will have to correct the brushbar motor position. Once you push it together and everything is sealed, keep it push and quickly reinstall screws. By the way there is a 5th screw holding them together down inside the cleanerhead clear piece. Its silver and might be coated in fine dust. You were absolutely right when you said this whole thing is going to take too long. Anyways I spoke too much
The part that fell out - I think I know where it came from - go to 13:36 and pause the video. You can see the underside of the brushroll housing. Next to the brushroll motor, on the right hand side you can see the grey part that fell out. It slots back into the clear housing to the left of the small soleplate wheel.

Thank you. I’ll do that tomorrow.
I found this video trying to figure out where that dang part went also! Saw it as you were disassembling, many thanks!
