- Dyson BALL Vacuum Cleaner repair - when the carpet roller attachment does not engage automatically or will engage intermittently. It might be a small electrical wire problem which can be easily fixed.
Thanks for the video. My brush bar stopped working and I replaced the switches but didn't solve the problem. Saw your vid and checked the wires and my white one had split. I fixed with a connector block and problem solved. You've saved me a couple of hundred quid. Cheers
Thanks for the video... I had an intermittent brush bar problem and discovered that it was the red wire (next to the white one in your video) that was split and sparking. Now fixed and working perfectly.. Good call 👍
This solved my problem with the DC40. Thank you.
great video and explanation. Thanks, I fixed my neighbors for them. Kept them from having to buy a new one. Thanks again.
you are most welcome! glad it worked out for you.
thank you! gave me a good staring point to trouble shoot
Brilliant! Live and learn!
I had to do this fix on my Dyson too. The wire is quite thin. A new replacement from that place that everyone shops is ~$8 shipped, but it's still the small gauge wire.
Mogman150 Hi, do you know what size the wire is? Thank you
@@YOGINIO I would guess the original is 22 or 24 gauge. I used 18 for my replacement. Teflon or silicone insulated would have been even better. I think it's a wear point on the wire.
Hey. My vac now works after noticing a broken wire in that housing. Nice bit of insulating tape on it
Great video iv just fixed mine..iv used a connection block as I found the wire hard work to connect proper as not much length on it. It's the white one..what can I use to to splice with ..eg is it a live or neutral wire . Thanks
Will you show a better angle when you say the side cover? I am having the same problem and do not get what you mean by the side covers.
Great! So.. I guess because no-one else has asked the question. Did your repair fix the problem?
ZeusOfAll Yup. Fixed.
What is the name of that white wire ?I’m having the same problem it rip off..thank you
it's from the wire loom assembly: www.ebay.com/itm/363010948476
I can't watch. I don't think it's possible to talk slower.
