What if Bucky and Falcon Returned the Infinity Stones

One of the most exciting Disney+ shows that’s currently on deck is Falcon and Winter Soldier, which is a six episode event series that follows the two heroes as they take on Baron Zemo. And that sounds awesome, but we can’t help but wonder what would’ve happened if the show was about something else. What if Bucky and Falcon returned the Infinity Stones instead of Captain America? Would you be more interested in seeing that as a show?
It’s an interesting idea, mainly because Captain America returning the Infinity Stones has been one of the most talked about things in Avengers: Endgame. There are just so many questions about how that worked and the sad thing is, we’ll probably never see how it happened. But if Disney actually made it so Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson were the ones to travel back in time to return the Infinity Stones, then we could’ve seen an epic miniseries that not only allowed us to revisit some of our favorite characters and places throughout the MCU, but also provide the perfect backdrop to allow both Winter Solider and Falcon to grow as characters. You could have it so both men want to be the new Captain America, but don’t work well with each other, and the show would follow the pair as they return the stones, face brand new threats and learn more about what it means to become the next Captain America.
So go ahead and check out today’s What If video to see if you could imagine Bucky and Sam going back in time instead of Captain America. Yes, it presents a few logical problems, but overall this is just a fun idea to consider as we think about we’re never going to know just what happened on Vormir when Cap met Red Skull! Did the Time-Variance-Authority help Steve Rodgers in returning the Infinity Stones without screwing the timeline?
The very fact there was an Old Steve at the end of Endgame means he messed with the timeline. That would be a no-no to the TVA...
Cbr I have a question since Ironman snapped thanos and his army out of existence who else did he snap out of existence?
It's possible that not just thanos and his army but anyone associated with them bc remember this is 2014 thanos so the whole 2014 mcu timeline is gone and has to be created a new timeline bc even if cap took the power stone back the thanos and his army at that time period don't exist.

@Parker Rex well they made it where Thor lost all confidence in himself not worthy like it was in the first Thor then regains his worthy by getting his hammer when they time jumped. Well they killed Wanda in infinity war to show how it is like to lose a loved one even tho its a android humanoid with a infinity stone.
@Parker Rex true I kind of think the whole Thor getting his old hammer back wouldnt done any good the whole reason they got it to show that cap was worthy to wield it. Like Thor said I knew it. It makes more sense to start from further back and work forwards. That way if you mess up, you don't have to redo what you already did.
Besides that, this is built on a misunderstanding of characters. Part of the point of the Shield and the Captain America identity, like with Mjolnir, is that you're not trying to prove yourself for show to others. Your innate qualities when no one is looking are what is important.
Actually, you mentioned a more important fact that explains how that time traveling really works : the fact that they also bring back Mjolnir proves that returning the stones does not suffice to repair the timeline.
This disproves the theory that says (according to some fans) that different timelines are created only when you take the stones, but the need to return the hammer too proves it's not true.

Also, Endgame screwed up by not having Cap return the Teseract nor the Scepter. I know, minor details. But I wish we could have answers!!!
But if Steve remains in the original timline he'll never get to go back home to Peggy, that's the point of him going back to return the stones and Mjolnir. Also he needs to return the hammer to 2013 Alternate Asgard to prevent confusion of where its gone and if the alternate Jane is the Thor version, she can't become Thor without the hammer.
Then There would be a competition between Falcon And Bucky for Peggy Carter

I'm really happy that TFATWS wasn't Bucky and Sam fighting over who deserves to be Cap more. Bucky knew the shield would be given to Sam and he fully supported that decision.

Keep in mind that when cap returned the stones he also returned Mjolnir, so if Bucky and Sam were to replaced him, Mjolnir would've stayed in the present.
