What song is that at 7:00 ?????
When someone brings a car to be fixed like that filthy hoarder car, ask them to clean out their garbage first. No one should put up with that and if you do it for customer relations, yeah, you don't need this kind of customer.
or do it and make them pay more for cleaning🤌🏻
I used to work at a car wash. Had a woman come in in a Prius. She had so much crap in her car that only the driver's seat could be used, and there was so much weight that it was too low to fit onto the conveyor.
We directed her to our dumpster in hopes that removing the trash would lighten it enough for her car to get washed. She sat there for 8 hours, didn't throw out a single item.
Saw a guy in a Lamborghini get out and boot kick his gullwing aluminum door - bitching...as we parked right next to him I noticed fast food garbage PILED 1/2 way up the passenger window.
Man I dont even repair bicycle tyres if they have dog shit on them.
And then get mad at you for throwing the trash away and demand the work for free
I'm not a very good mechanic but these customers make me feel like a genius 🤣😂
I watch Mechanical Nightmare and rejoice that I don't have to fix other people's junk anymore!
I can imagine at the horrors you saw 😅.
I'm no mechanic, I don't even play one on TV, but I know enough that when you open the hood and there's something looking back at you, there's going to be a problem.
Found a little bark scorpion in my underhood fuse box once. No one could figure out how it arrived there, or why.
Watching these videos, I have a tab bit more appreciation with my wife says, "Hey, I hear a noise, can you look an listen'. We have avoided some many oh crap what happened, because she listens to her Jeep and doesn't ignore anything. Great videos by the way.
10:40 I actually had something like this happen to me. Had my oil changed at a shop and they didn't tighten the drain plug back in right. The next week it popped out on the highway when I was 200 miles away from home. The shop owner ended up bringing a trailer out and towing my car back to his shop so they could replace my destroyed engine.
Always love the custom wiring and diy exhaust setups 😂. I swear a monkey with a few car batteries and a 6010 rod could do better
I'm.just drop dead flabbergasted that they took responsibility for it 😮
Rule of thumb, any time the mechanics start laughing at your car, it's gonna be expensive...
I've heard of split rim wheels before, but that one takes the cake! 7:23
That's a Ford Leaf at 15:10...
I can't believe I'm on the same roads as some of these people!
I never know if I should laugh or cry watching what these customers bring in for the teal mechanics to fix after they destroy their own vehicles.
Thanks guys. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thats why if I don't know, or don't have the ideal tools, I don't do it.
Its way cheaper to pay for a repair than a replace.
@@gwoody4003 sound advice sir.
Yes
At 12:35, that is a Ford modular V8. This is such a reliable motor and very easy on the oil....to make it look like that you have to NEVER change the oil ever.
Jeep transfer cases explode fairly often, 'cause people flat tow them in gear. They think you put the transmission in neutral, when it's supposed to be the transfer case.
Would it hurt to just make sure they're both in neutral?
@@christianclark2656 No it wouldn't. And thats the safe way, to be sure. You just have to remember to engage both when disconnecting.
"Customer states...'I hit a curb and now something is wrong'" = lots of alcohol and stupidity were involved.
I am inclined to agree with Jenn , I hate people. Some of those cars conditions were terrifying.
That blinker light fluid should be good for another 25,000 miles Ma’am.
How about you give us a call when you reach about 23,000 miles and we’ll set up an appointment to change out that blinker light to it for you.
I've watched a bunch of these "Customer States" videos and I am amazed at the ignorance of car owners and surprised there aren't more accidents caused by their failure to properly maintain the vehicles they drive.
At 10:25, I think they had a run in with the legendary cocaine bear LOL.
These videos should be sent to the government as proof all 50 states need safety inspections for vehicles
i love watching these to make my car feel safer to drive even though it has problems too
I had a 1993 Ford Tempo and the spare tire compartment filled with water like that one in the vid.
I added weather stripping to the trunk lid but couldnt figure out where it was leaking from so I just carefully drilled a hole in the floor so it could drain 😂
My insignia was the same,. Rubber window seal was curled in on itself and let in a ton of water.
@@paddymalky1979 I miss the automatic seatbelts. Wonder why that didn't stick with car design.
Brings a new meaning to "drive into the gound".
These would probably be more surprising to me if I understood what I was looking at. Still interesting to watch though. I have a 22-year-old Lexus ES300 that goes in the shop every 3-5 thousand miles to hopefully catch things before they get outta hand.
This makes me love my car even more 💀
Just remember, folks: if RTV, Tire Slime and JB Weld can't fix it, it ain't worth fixing.
If you cant duck it, fvck it
True that haha
Best part is how safe I'll feel from now on...because I'm busy driving on the freeway, I normally don't mind 4" duct tape, exposed wire and open headers, until they're in front of me.
8:09 That's how the brakes on my 86 LeBaron turbo convertible looked after driving several months having to downshift to slow down. Shop said there was only 1 pad doing ANY work, and in all his years as a mechanic, he'd never seen brakes as bad as mine. He actually hung one of what was left of a rotor on the wall in his shop.
It’s a Nissan Dodge is wild! 🤣🤣🤣
Nissan Dodge Toyota!
Great video. Love the long ones. 👍 👍
The exhaust on the Nissan/ Dodge! Seriously, what in the crystal meth happened there? It never ceases to amaze what I might see roll past my doors. Love it!
1:18 Everyone complains about commenters who don't understand the difference between "brake" and "break". But this time we have both!
A badly routed exhaust while Up Around The Bend plays. 🤣
9:14 I know that issue. That’s an early R18A1. Those were known to develop cracks in the block. Looks like the owner caught it way too late
14:50 lol my VW Beetle did that, it was a rainy day and I took it on the highway and thought I heard like ... flapping? It sounded like the car was being attacked by birds or something, it was bizarre. So I pulled over in a Burger King parking lot and looked at the roof xD the clear coat was just shedding off and flying all over the place apparently. Oh well. It still runs, it's 20 years old and I just sold it to a family member who says it still drives great, good car but they are finally going to get it repainted.
Sad part is it's just going to get worse over time, kids now days know nothing about taking care of a vehicle
I feel as though it should be apart of like shop class or something along those lines, I personally have no problem teaching the basics even if I don't get paid much or nothing
@Neon Afterglow when I was in school we had shop class, to graduate out of shop class we were put in teams of two, we had to completely tare down and put back together a 454 and it had to run.
What do you think about electric vehicles? They are much easier to maintain.
More of that, recent combustion engines are too complex for diy repairs.
I like driving combustion cars though, but I see clearly that they will become extinct soon for usual customer.
Unless you are a petrolhead and agree to spend 5x on a combustion car. (My guess)
@Vladimir they can be ez to maintain but I seen one catch fire and it was scary how long it took to put it out, it actually reignited a day later, and I still have my 1968 charger all factory and easy to maintain for me
@@neonafterglow4451 nowadays in shop classes kids get to stand behind the yellow safety line and watch the teacher do all the work, thanks to insurance adjusters/lawyers overthinking everything.
At least thats what happened in my county in Florida (the land of lawsuits), I'm sure it's different in many other places though.
4:35 we've all been there before. 😂😂
13:52 Usually air compressors have two components- a compressor and a power source, like an engine. Here we have both in one unit!
6:55 - it looks like someone put motor oil in the master cylinder for the brake. Once upon a time, in Cincinnati Ohio, someone did this to a 20,000 pound armored car (Metropolitan Armored Car, later called AT Systems). A second armored car had to get in front of the one with no brakes and help it to stop, all the way back to the company's local garage / headquarters building.
Nope, I have straight up forced service managers to drive in and out hoarder vehicles. I refuse to sit in them. If he wants that money that bad he’ll tolerate that kind of bad behavior from a customer he’s gotta do it himself.
11:30
Lol someone doesn't know how to say Peugeot.
I am definitely over serviving my car based on these excellent examples. 😅
that one car is a frakenstien 2:45
I also had chipmunks build a nest under the hood of my S-10 that caught fire as I was driving. I had to dump a whole super big gulp on it.
Strange thing is, it was never parked mire than a few days so they had to have just done it.
1:37
Scotty doesn't know!
When it looks like Venom coming out of the oil pan, you know it at least needs an oil change...
That air filter at 16:28 was unbelievable. Maybe I am just anal but I change my air filters every year when pollen season ends here in Atlanta GA. Around here it settles thick and colors everything greenish yellow.
Same a few hours north of you. Nothing breathes after pollen season
Maybe your Buick has hay fever?
I get a new air filter every 6 months but I drive a lot of highway hours
I change my filters way too often then. I do it with every other oil change (~8-10k miles)
I love "customer states" Then the most wildest bs lmao
I love how true mechanics just dip their finger in it in and just me like, Yep that's not fucking alright.
At 15:55, it's the new wireless differential. Cool
0:40 32 PSI and about to blow! Rims like one more curb and see what happens. XD lol
The exhaust at 12:40 is more of a suggestion if you ask me
I had a Grand Am that shedded its clear coat as well
I'm not a car guy but damn! Watching this video hurts 😂
1:29 I’ve blown my muffler on my truck before and the idiot at the muffler repair shop didn’t catch that a motor mount also broke and rerouted my exhaust line so when I got the mount fixed they had to adjust the exhaust so it didn’t rub against the driveshaft. 10:42 my mother in law couldn’t find a can of Dr Pepper in her van and one day in the summer she hit the brakes at a red light and the can came flying at the dash spraying Dr Pepper all over the place. Luckily the can missed us. It was like a missile and didn’t realize what it was until it sprayed.
Backup light fluid low. Check his blinker fluid, too.
That blinker fluid was low !
The people who own these vehicles should not have a drivers license.
That sir in the master cylinder is when you mix both types of brake fluid
It boggles my mind me as to how so many people think vehicles just run on gas more so the ones that drive eith little to no rotors left. How does the driver not hear the grinding noise? How is he/she still alive for that matter 😅?
OMG. I'm so glad that the German TÜV takes such corpses off the streets. Not only that they endanger themselves, no, also all other road users.
Driver: Hits pothole that has been growing long enough to have a birthday.
Average government: *throws hands up* should have swerved, we're not paying you anything.
Average cop near said pothole: *pulls over anyone who leaves their lane to avoid pothole*
6:31 Looks like a job for JB Weld.
My boss used to have contests "how many minutes til it explodes"
6:20 Its the rare 50w300 oil
5:01 My choice is chicken wire & duct tape 👍🏻🤦♂️🤯
3.6 go brrr😂😂
3:35 Customer states: "need air in tire" I said: "bitch where?"
"I think there is an issue with _________" is code for "I think more than 50% of _________ is missing"
Wait, hold on, hasn't Winston tire been out of business for like two decades? How does this car have Winston tires on it?
There are a lot of hopeless people out there who should never be allowed near anything mechanical
1:13 the thing about chocolate milkshakes is they don't *stay* cold
CAUTION , never purchase an automobile with KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN wrappers under the seat ! You will find the motor oil has never been changed ! 6/5/23
13:28 And you thought blinker fluid wasn't real. Now...get your mind around reverse light coolant.
I wondered how people Can drive cars in such mechanical misery....🤨....but....my wife drove her Nissan Juke an entire day with a flat front tyre without noticing something unusual.....I don't wonder anymore 😋
Does every clip have to have mechanics laughing and sarcasm, like this broken wheel, looks good, and this oil looks fine. It gets old can't even finish this video.
I've been a Master tech since 1987. I can fix a lot of things but I can't fix stupid. Maintain your vehicles people
How can they get home safely?
Scary to think these death traps are on the road.
4:57 Those are Free Range Gears.
My car (Lada 1300) has a really bad vibrating while starting: the engine mounting brackets are (i think its the factory one :/ ) very old. It moves about 10 cm while starting! :0
the last clip got me battery in ice how
Battery box located in lowest part of trunk, water leaking into trunk.
Moral of story do not buy jeeps.
13:40 I see both the owner and mechanic are fans of jurrasic park
13:29 Blinker fluid.
7:21 Way to go for Mercedes cutting costs by making the rims out of tinfoil. Look how thin that rim is
ALWAYS CHECK YOUR OIL AFTER GETTING IT CHANGED AT A NEW SHOP
My gf went for a tire rotation/fill + oil change. They did neither and her car died in the middle of an intersection one day. RIP subbie
12:09 Got Squirrels?
How many people out there watching thinking. What, I dont see anything wrong 😂
Does JB WELD restore detached rotors?
doesn't it stand for Janky Breaks Weld?
1:24 ha!
I see this person's a bit low on blinker fluid ( 13:29 )
I feel sorry for these cars. The owners deserve to walk.
Most of this stuff can just buff out stop trying to rip people off 😂😅
5:45 Maybe they like rock and roll.
I've seen so many of these videos, I cannot wrap my head around these. How are people so dumb? They should NOT be driving.
5:30 I need the Valvecover for my car, that engine is junk anyway
1:15 is that oil in the coolant res?
I would say a mixture of oil and coolant. Likely an oil cooler leaking in the radiator. Or a blown head gasket.
The blown muffler is an ignition problem.
oil that thick you are looking at a pan gasket
Bro really said poo-goo 👁️👄👁️
I'm not mechanical. I know that there is something very wrong in practically every one of theses vids, but sometimes I don't know exactly what. 4:54 is a good example. Like I know it should have a fluid in there for lubrication and heat reduction, but was that all? I'm not sure.
That area actually is supposed to be dry. What it looks like to me is a thrust bearing went out in the engine, the crankshaft has way too much endplay. The excess movement allowed the flywheel to break the clutch and punch a hole in the front of the transmission.
driving a nissan is so embarrassing.
MERICAAAA!!!😂
