    Video descriptions:
    0:00 Intro
0:04 80,000 miles they definitely skipped a lot of oil changes
0:13 Guess this rod wanted to see the outside world
0:23 Came in for an inspection and didn't quite pass
0:32 Just a typical day for a farm vehicle
0:41 When you ignore that brake squeak for an extra 6 months
0:46 Will just be a blocked drain hole at the bottom of the door
0:54 Polaris RZR turbo kicked the bucket
1:01 Not going to be doing much charging like this
1:10 Surprisingly a correct diagnosis by this owner
1:20 This is why you don't skip inspections especially on a bus
1:40 How to fix a ford ignition
1:46 At least it will have a new started after it gets rebuilt
1:55 Just a minor exhaust leak
2:00 Definitely a unique way of customizing their car
2:21 Well that must've been terrifying
2:25 The rod also destroyed another hole down by the oil sump
2:39 Just for context it had the same size rims/wheels when this happened
2:45 Customer States "my A-C button is the most infuriating thing ever"
3:09 Customer States "Can you check my bike please, ran fine all summer then for some reason wouldn’t start anymore"
3:13 I'm surprised they thought this sound was somewhat normal. To be fair it does sound like a pulley bearing which may be an easy fix
3:50 Most likely just bent up hitting the exhaust shield
    4:04 Outro

I mean, they did dude, but they still break. The number of times I've had vehicles come in because they only go on full blast or nothing at all isn't that small. I will say that one is a head scratcher though. Probably electronically controlled rather than an actual piece you're moving like with older vehicles and something went wrong with one of the components.

In 1979 i owned an Amoco station. I was 24 years old. One of my customers had a 1956 Pontiac in towed in because it wouldn't idle and ran terrible. The one bbl carburetor was completely worn out the throttle shaft had worn out the base so nad there was an eighth inch gap between the shaft and the cast iron base. So i went to the parts store and got with the best parts guy ever anywhere. The base had a wide span between the mounting flange holes. We went through the books and found a 450 CFM one bbl for a 292 Chevy truck carburetor would fit the base. I went back to the shop and dissembled the carb and bored the jets another 2 thousandths and installed it on the flat head 8 cylinder engine and went ahead and replaced the points and condenser plugs and wires which were worn out. The car ran perfect i raised the timing 2 degrees for a little more power. The customer sent all of his friends to me and I stayed very busy.

unfortunately i had an older sister who did it several times, her idea of maintenance was to just drive it until started making a loud grinding noise and then tell me something's wrong, usually a holiday weekend and you can,t get parts

1:46 The door buzzer going off without the key is being caused by a little wire that is supposed to be connected to the accessory position of the key coming out of its spot and grounding out on the column. Fixed it on a '97 Ranger I had a while back.

I admit I thought those pictures of cars that have not had the oil changed in a long time were a little bogus . On a lark I asked our local Toyota dealer if they ever see a sludge pile in the oil pan. He said “all the time”. They get on average 2 per month. I stand corrected.

And its always dudes that try to work on their cars
      Thats why I get skeptical
I literally wholesale refuse to believe that someone who works on cars has no mind to change oil.

When I worked for GM, a customer came in with a locked up engine. No oil changed or added since new, and now died at 50,000 miles. When she was asked why she never changed oil, her reply was I never did on my Hondas, so why should I do it on this car.

About the air conditioning knob issue at 3:04 is where they are using a rotary encoder to send commands to the computer. I had the same issue with one of the knobs on my 2004 Focus. The control needs a squirt of contact cleaner. Sold at most any electronics supply shop. With an all too easy to lose little red tube just like on spray lubricants. It only needs a drop in the right place in the control. But getting at the control is a horrid job. So as a long time electronics engineer with too much experience, really not wanting to pull out the heat unit and open that up, I pried off the knob, squirted a whole lot of contact all over the shaft and rotated it back and forth. You can do this with the power on. Then after about 4-5 turns the control worked normally. Now this is a desperation move but it is worth a try before ripping the dash open. I did not expect to to work.
But the shaft for these controls do have a few thou clearance with their bushing and by flooding the shaft with enough cleaner, enough got in by chance to remove the contamination in the control in my case. You may or not have the same luck.
4-5 years later when I gave the car away to a friend in 2021 it was still working fine.
