Tony managed to help Cornette, Russo and Bischoff lay down their arms and find common ground. He managed to help Punk reunite with WWE. Hes also managed to make Cornette appreciate Omega. Just give TK the Nobel peace prize already.

The focal point of their show is 3 guys who got shoot beat up by CM PUNK and a Japanese guy who's been in the company for 2 months. Yeah not so good
The focal point of their show is CM Punk. They made him the deal for Perry coming back. Omega used punk as a way to baby face himself against the bucks for their angle. Tony knows he’s lost the biggest star he’s ever had and now they just make him the reason for everything, and even the elite know that the fans think punk is right, which is why they used Kenny vaguely siding with punk to become the good guy against the cucks.
What happens when you have a guy who calls himself a wrestling fan but knows nothing about wrestling. Running a wrestling promotion. CM Punk or not. This company was bound for disaster. And Punk was going to contribute to it because of his bad temper and big ego.
Dollar store NWO will never be a huge draw where the audience feel they could beat up the trois of Perry and Bucks. The least intimidating faction.

Reason for it being... they were in Canada late March, drew a good crowd in Toronto 6k+,.. every show they had in April except Dynasty was in the range of 2k - 3.5k, lame numbers !
They come back in Canada early May, numbers are up, Winnipeg May 1st - 4.5k, next week in Edmonton there will be around that number too and on Collision May 11th in Vancouver they will have over 6k fans !
Now you see why they choose to go that often in Canada and they will be back there in early July.... AGAIN !!

Tony is really banking on the TV deal being a big increase. Why the hell would he expect that? The show has lost 30% of its average audience since debuting. Turner axed WCW 23 years ago when it was doing way better than it is now in terms of people actually watching. What on Earth would WBD want to increase the rights fees for? There's good matches, but that's not going to draw the mainstream audience. Raw is a slog to get through at 3 hours long, but it does nearly 3 times the viewership on Dynamite, so what does that tell you Tony "ratings are the #1 source of fan feedback" Khan?
Not only that, WBD is going to have to pay $1 billion more to keep the NBA. It will be a no-brainer to make up part of that cost by cutting AEW.
That 2 hour slot for Dynamite will probably go to a DC movie, that'll make Warner Bros more money with more ratings. Tony Khan doesn't take this business thing seriously.

As a Canadian, I used to be proud of our wrestlers. We had Bret, Owen, Kiniski, Piper, Benoit (before the horrible incident), Lance Storm, Jericho before he decided he was Hulk Hogan and many others. So many guys were trained by the Harts in the best wrestling school on the planet. Now, who do we have? Kenny Omega, Excalibur and Wannabe Hulk Hogan? Embarrassing. We ruled wrestling (not sports entertainment) for years. Now look at us. If Brian Pillman was James Bond, Omega is Austin Powers.

Im watching Raw right now, KOTT tournament match. Full arena, crowd engaged and chanting. Yeah there is no competition
I want AEW to bounce back and i want people to just buy more tickets at least for the PPV... Allegiant Stadium will be packed for Wrestlemania 41 next year.... and AEW barely sold nearly 6k for Double or Nothing in MGM Grand Garden Arena... it's so sad !

As I always say...the fans and media really thought AEW was going to take down WWE. Be better than WWE. 5 years later...yet, the company is a prime example of what happens when you hire a man who says he's a wrestling fan but knows nothing about running a wrestling promotion. Low audience attendance and low ticket sale. Terrible booked and poorly acted segments.
The problem is they didn't hire the man, the man is the one who does the hirings and the payments...

According to Meltzer and AEW fans, once the NBA and NHLplayoffs end, Kenny Omega and MJF return, they sign all the free agents from the indies and Japan, a couple of WWE defections, the EVP storyline clicks with fans, Marko Stunt returns, then AEW will beat WWE Raw and Smackdown ratings, start selling out more arenas, and will eventually get a $10 billion TV rights deal.
Do you know when the NBA and NHL season or playoffs end ?
I would like to know when AEW Dynamite will go back to their regular and standard ratings in the vecinity of 800-850k !
Cornette has always recognized that kenny has real pull in aew and i think now since everyone is booked terribly he sees him as one of the only guys that can put the company on his back in some way(although with injuries and diverticulitis idk)😊

Kenny Omega developing some real introspection about his career, personality, and status in the company has earned him far more respect from Jim than any positive direction his wrestling ability could ever go towards. It just goes to show that honesty & integrity goes a long way not just in wrestling, but in life itself.
Corny should release a new shirt based on Punk's "Hell Froze Over" design.
From finding a shred of common ground with Bischoff and Russo to openly praising something Omega has done (Corny praised him for a few things in the past, but it was begrudgingly). There's no other way to describe things.
I had the same thought about Swerve a few weeks ago. It is like they had him getting solid reactions from their fans and then waited until he cooled off to put the title on him. His reactions died down right before they gave him the belt.
When does this podcast come out?
Every time a positive presence in AEW leaves for whatever reason, the quality of the shows noticeably takes a dip. Cody, Punk, Omega (I guess), they were keeping some of Tony's and the Buckeroos' bullshit filtered, at least during certain angles and matches. Now it's gone fullblown WCW 2000 or even worse across the board. I shudder to think of how bad it's gonna get after Danielson and Omega are gone. I would include Edge and MJF in that too but as we've seen, they pretty much roll over for whatever Tony wants too.

I was in attendance for the Collision in Hartford last July where punk spray painted the title. That was legitimately the hottest i have ever seen an XL Center crowd, almost packed out as well. Tony has fumbled so hard.

Kenny deserves the praise and respect - he's genuinely been a great wrestler for a long time. Perhaps unfairly maligned over his AEW stint and Rhiho etc. He has clearly given his all to wrestling and was suffering for it, even before his latest health scare which wasn't caused by in ring action.
It's disappointing that Jim has now jumped on Kenny's wagon. I'm gonna miss Corny ribbing him with names like Kenny Olivier, Twinkletoes McFingerBang, and Harpo FingerFuck.
Give it time,he'll be back to that within about a month.

According to Uncle Dave, Billy Fishheawk only had one bad match last year: against Tanga Loa. This was obviously his opinion before WWE signed him.
AEW is now Arthouse Entertainment Wrestling based on what I've seen in the last two years. I mean, the business model for Khan being what's internetty is just mind-blowingly numb.
