- Time to re-visit the Infamous Heimdallr Monster homage. This was by far their monster anticipated release and by far their highest quality production to date. I take a look at their other colour options and also a quick comparison against my newly purchased Seiko Monster Gen 2!

I just gave my nephew that same one you just picked up. Awesome Seiko I just didn’t wear it. I’ll pick up a Heimdallr just to fill the void, close enough and certainly good enough. I probably should have looked at the value before I gave it up, I don’t like any child that much..lol. Great video man, you go through these so thoroughly that the mistake is on us if we don’t like it after purchasing. Killin it my dude!

I resisted the monster for a long time. When I finally succumbed I was surprised to find it wears smaller than an SKX!👍😎
I've been very happy with my Heimdallr watches, and I took the opportunity to pre-order the Orange 🍊 Monster, which I gave to my son for Christmas. It is spectacular, and I'm keeping a keen eye on their website so that I can order one for myself when they become available! I think they have a real winner with this model, and I hope they do produce different dials in homage to limited editions. This watch is one that is clearly better than the original, and yet ticking around a Seiko mechanism.
Love the revisits, always give good insight. Agree this is one of heimdallr's best.

after watching your videos and when I finally received it, it even exceeded my expectations!
Incredible value for money and truly an amazing piece. Sits perfectly on my 17 cm wrist and the weight
distribution is perfect. The bracelet is almost perfect (the security flap sometimes doesn't open easily) and
the dial is phenomenal. The only bad thing I found is the enamel on the bezel is slightly rough and not smooth.

These are incredible watches for the money. I received the red one about 2 weeks ago, and unfortunately it did cone with a QC problem with the clasp - it is hard to snap closed and the piece that swings over it rotates with a bit of difficulty. That said, these are minor issues as the clasp remains highly functional and once secured on my wrist I don't even think about it. The rest of the watch is absolutely spotless.

Thanks for the comment , glad you appreciate the content. I haven't heard anyone else mention the clasp however I have had an issue with these clasps myself. Just need to maybe oit the mechanism.

Great review, I agree with every word, I originally got the red dial, then the blue with the blue bezel, as lovely as the red dial is, the blue dial and bezel gets more wrist time, it’s a great looking watch but nobody seems to be paying that version any attention.
Still have to pull the trigger on this, awesome for the price
Beautiful pieces but it would drive me mad that the gouges in the case do not fully align with those in the bezel!

I ordered version 2 in frosty blue directly from Heimdallr and they sent me version 1 in frosty white.

I currently have 2 Seiko 5 "Baby Monsters." 1 with black Dial (srpb K-1 version). The 2nd is orange dial (srpb J-1) They have the 4r36a movement. The same as the regular "Monsters" I must say that on first glance it appears the Heimdallr really has a hit with their "Monster" Homage pieces. I don't really mind the exposed, lumed pip @ 12o'clock and it's totally offset by the fact that the crystal is Sapphire! The % difference between Seiko and Heimdallr price points make this a winner in my book. I'll take one in Red, Thank you!

Would you do us a favor and check if the dial of the seiko monster fits the heimdallers case? You could just open them both and put the whole movement with the dial to see if it fits :) If it does, I will definitely buy a seiko dial for my heimdallr. Which is still on transit since mid January 😭

Like your shows. I was under the same thought as the reviewer’s on CZcams about the monster. The notch in the case compare with the notch in the basil. The reason they don’t lineup is when it’s unidirectional can you try to get a grip on it basil is pursued it out further than a notch in the case so I can grip your thumb for turning. I believe you’re an engineer do you speak I’m a design engineer that’s why the notches are not aligned they are offset.
Love my orange Heimdalr monster. Wish they would do an ice monster version or anything like that (light blue, ice blue dial or something) I would be all in! Damn nice homage for the money! Thinking of a red version tbh as well... Hehe

I received my red dial one around 20 days ago and i only paid the customs fee, since i got my money back from paypal, due to a great delay (almost 3 months) and the lack of tracking info for a month. So it only cost me around 47 euros eventually. It is an acquired taste i tell you! Initially i didn't particulary like it and put it on sale, because it seemed too "edgy" to my eyes, but then i gave it some chances and it begun growing on me! It is steadily becoming my everyday beater. My only real complaint is the bit sloppy application of paint on the bezel, especially around the lume peep, which i had to gently scratch to make the triangle look right. But still, inside the bezel indentations the paint looks rough. Yours don't seem to have that issue, but i've seen other reviews where it is obviously there, so it is a lottery. I could also do with a less yellow tone of lume like the original seiko and an applied logo, but i guess i can't complain, since it is a very good vfm watch and i got it even cheaper than the requested price. And there is something about the bezel action that gives me great satisfaction! Can't really tell what it is, but maaaan it feels good...
Well to be honest you got a very good deal on yours. I have heard that there is a bit of paint issue on the bezels. You got the newer batch where i think the first offs of the last made could have had that issue
@@TheWatcherReviews I was a very early bird actually and my watch was shipped on Oct. 30, so i don't think that's the deal. There must be some inconsistency about the bezel paint in general...
Great comparison. But im pretty sure that the Heimdallr does hold its value. Espacially when you got it for a good price. If you wantt to sell it .Many people are not willing to wait serveral weeks for the watch and probably pay more to get it faster.

I have an orange one with a shark on the dial because I won't pay a stupid price for a watch that's not as good as the copy! I would have liked a signed crown tho. If they ever make a lime green one I'll buy another.

Excellent review. I'm a Seiko man myself but I really love the red dial. Can't complain about the movement seeing as it's a Seiko! I'm about to buy on in the big Ali Express sale, it's in my basket, actually 2, the stainless steel red and the PVD red with full lume on both dial and bezel. What do you think of the PVD, and have any of the subscribers got the PVD watch.?Can't find a review for that version so any advice would be appreciated!

heimdallr masters every seiko. unless you want mineral glass and a stamped clasp. heimdallr even has better lume & price the heimdallr monster ALSO comes with a spring bar tool, link removal tool AND a 20mm nato strap!!!!!

Yeh they should hold up great in water, not sure how deep though but for swimming and skin diving. Sure thing

Do all monsters have high pimp on bezel?

You will not be sorry, and even though it's a bit smaller, it doesn't look tiny on a larger wrist like you and I have. (203mm/8" for me). Yet, it fits and looks great on my son's 6.5" wrist. He's not exaggerating about the build quality, either: this has to be the best thing Heimdallr has produced.

The heimdallr dial says "diver's 200 meters". On a seiko watch, this means it's certified to ISO standards. Does the heimdallr carry equal certification/ reliability?
No, not at all
Seiko Indices are white. Heimdallr are greenish.
That's definitely my biggest complaint, the stark white indices on the Seiko is one of the main reasons I wanted one
Hold on a bit. I am watching reviews of this watch for months now and I like it. In fact I bought 3 already. A blue one, a red one and an orange on. The first two were not available AFTER I bought them, so I got my money back within days. The third one was delivered and halve way the shipment was returned? That took a couple of weeks, money back, but still no watch. So I go on-line again and within 5 minutes of scrolling I have 15 different prices for the same watch and probably 15 different stores affiliated with AliExpress. What to do? Buy my 4th Monster? At some point I can't be bothered anymore.....Is there another way of buying these watches..? Phone them first...? Money under the table..? How about paying over Retail? Quite popular to get your hands on a steel Rolex...! Is there a grey market Monster out there...?
Buy from the official Heimdallr website, see link on the description. I've just done a video on these issues that people face when buying from Ali. They dont have stock in house but just sell hoping they will get some in
My best advice is that you buy directly from Heimdallr. They are clear, on their Facebook page, that they do not have an Ali store.
