I received this watch a couple of days ago(Snow dial is awesome)… I’m extremely happy with the finish and the dial. I am really impressed with the bracelet… It’s the nicest bracelet on any of the Homage Watches that I’ve purchased including San Martin. There are some sharp edges however… Both on the clasp as well as the corners around the protective rings of the bezel. Another thing of note is they apparently have fix the problem with the thin ‘30’ On the bezel. It matches the other numbers perfectly! Bloom is incredible I agree! Unfortunately bezel action On my example is not nearly as good as the one that you have in the video. Muted, And a bit mushy although back-play. Thanks for the great review !

That was a great review! Really like this one. The dial is gorgeous though I prefer the pointy teeth on my red dial Gen.2 (V.1) My case and dials/bezels do line up perfectly too, and the 30 is definitely better on my V1. I haven't knocked the lume pip but it's good they made it less prominent. If I didn't get the red dial one, I'd go for frost, as I'm just waiting for my yellow Steeldive SD1975 to arrive!! That frost dial and the white one are stunning. By the way,I took my watch down to 80m on a recent dive holiday so don't worry about swimming or diving. Not sure about deeper than 80m but I reckon it would be fine.
I might actually go for Seiko this time around. The Monster Antartica is sold for less than double the asking price of the Heimdallr where I live, and has better, legible hands. I am interested in getting the heimdallr orange monster, though.

Great job Mr watcher. Why would they put silver hands on a light color dial. Don't you think the hands should have a black outline instead of silver. 🤔
I have had both Seiko's and Hemdallr's. Heimdallr makes an excellent "clomage" I do find the AR on your example a little obnoxious, maybe it is the lighting but at some angles that blue AR is really blue.
As i wrote elsewhere too, the legibility of the handset on the frosted dial one is bad. And it gets even worse because the handset is not polished like the indices, thus it reflects the surroundings even less, so there is almost no outline seperation/contrast from the dial. Heimdallr is systematically using handsets they have in stock to new watches, without taking into consideration the legibility. And it is a pity, because they are a great vfm company, but details like these can make all the difference. I am surprised at how many people get past that. Afterall, divers should be first and foremost legible...
Yeah haha. But I'll buy the frost version because it reminds me more of the chilly, slightly bluish winter mornings. Snow is good but frost is better, has got more "feelings" attached to it.
Great review as always. Two things. One let me know when they change that 30 and I will buy that watch. It looks cool. Number two I bought the san Martin Grand Seiko diver homage because of you. It cost me 355 in the sale. You should get it. It is stunning on the wrist. Let me know if you are going to get that watch it really is beautiful
Generally well done but... They need to outline the hands in black to create contrast to increase legibility, like the Seiko. Also, they need to balance the font of the "30" with the other numerals. Then I'll buy it.
It’s a shame they say they declare 50 dollars as the value on the package except for the UK and Switzerland and they don’t offer to let you pay the VAT upfront either. In other words you can expect to end up paying up to 50 gbp extra on top of a 135 gbp watch.

Very nice watch. Only critique I have is the hand's finish. The bead blasted satin finish has the least contrast with the dial. Polished would have been better. But notice the legibility of the black hands on the seiko are best. Even there with polished hour markers, which seems odd, I think shows seiko's choice of black was purposeful.

If you have a V.1 you could swap the bezel. Lol. Kidding aside, I just checked if you could buy a separate steel Monster bezel and install it yourself but can't see any available on AE. Hopefully they'll fix it though.
I'd advise you to go for the Heimdallr. Not saying the retangula isn't good too, but the Heimdallr has a longer track record in this particular design at the price point. The quality is excellent and I even took mine diving without any issues.
@@SAXDAVEBOY It is, I agree but check the reviews and decide. If you like a good stable bezel action the Heimdallr is the one, but if that doesn't bother you go for it. Personally I couldn't handle a loose 60 click bezel, my OCD couldn't handle it! Lol.
Beautiful watch but I just noticed it really should have black hands not light color hands. You really can't make out the time as well. If they were darker it would be perfect

Received mine yesterday. I believe in value for money and don't care for paying extra for a brand name. So this Heimdallr is a no brainer, love it!

I have an Argon diver with a meteorite dial and that frost looks a lot like meteorite. Excellent job on what they used to get that effect.

Sometimes it cuts up the tone of the dail if your hands are too noticeable like wave of Kanagawa. Good for mod to try.

nice. i gothe the V1 and it's still light years ahead of POS seiko. its got sapphire and a milled steel clasp. i like the shark teeth better

Is the dial Grey or light blue? So hard to tell - sometimes it looks blue. Is the blue look from the AR Cristal?
The frost has a blue hue, the snow dial is white

Beautiful but JUNK. Mine loses about 10-15 minutes a day and the date and day don’t change when they should. GARBAGE and warranty is not helping me
