Welcome to the full review of the Heimdallr Monster Gen 2, and an excellent homage of the Seiko Frost Monster 3rd Gen.

Great review. I bought my Seiko Monster 8 or 9 years ago for 240 euros. Very happy with it, but today I ordered the Heimdallr frost watch after seeing this review. I got it for 130 euros. Can not wait to get it.

I received myV2 Frost and it seems more gray than pale blue. A little disappointed in the color but the workmanship is top notch.

This is a SNOW blue or SNOW white?, On their website store has 2 versions. I like this dial. Thanks!!
Hey man. This is the frost dial which is blue. The snow dial is white. I think the latest version of these comes with black outline on the hands to improve legibility. Thanks for watching 👍

Thanks for the review Noor. I'm wondering, does the Heimdaller's lume last longer than the Seiko? It seems to be brighter initially but did it last longer?

I don't think I have the patience to wait for that long. Ha ha ha😅
Another "flaw" is its legibility. In direct sunlight, the frosted face is not ideal. On the other hand, it's gorgeous on indoor lighting.
Ah yes. That is also my consideration point when choosing this Frost dial versus the Snow white dial. For me, it's still legible, but of course not as good as a black dial. Thanks for watching!
@@NMwatch On the other hand if you contact Heimdallr and you bought the watch from there official website, They may send you the revised black outlined handset, then the legibility and seeing the time is a much nicer experience! Oh and the hands look way better IMHO...
I don't really have issues with the legibility of the hands. And even if I do get the hands, I'm not going to be able to change the hands myself 😂. Thanks for the suggestion though 👍
I ordered version 2 in frosty blue directly from Heimdallr and received version 1 in frosty white.
Never Heimdallr again!
Oh my. Basically there are 2 websites claiming that they are the official website. I've ordered from the website that listed all other sellers on AliExpress as unofficial 😎. Bought 2 Heimdallr from them, and still have no issues yet. Thanks for watching 💪🏻👍
For the price with sapphire crystal, I would be able to accept the minor imperfection. Enjoy the watch.

Good informative review as usual. This was on my to-get list due to the frost dial. However, I managed to snare a good deal on a Seiko SRPG57K1 ("Save the Ocean Antarctica") model. Those little penguin feet are so cute and unique. Just couldn't resist it! Only problem now is to explain the expenditure to "She who must be obeyed" :(
Out of curiosity, do you think we can get the Heimdallr Monster bracelet separately? My Gen 1 Seiko Monster bracelet clasp is so loose now, I hardly wear it anymore. That Heimdallr bracelet and clasp looks like it might just fit my Gen 1 monster.
Hey man. I ordered the Heimdallr V2 Frost in May, and it only came in mid of August. And at that point of time, I also ordered the Seiko Monster 4th Gen STO Antarctica. And to be honest, I think I might need to sell the Heimdallr. The penguin feet is just too cute to not see daily.
I don't think Heimdallr sell the bracelet separately, but I'll ask Heimdallr if they do.

Wait till or......if heimdallr put out the shark cutout counter weight on the minute hand version. It's like a little shark circling the watch face all day long! I've seen those hands and custom dials for sale in AliExpress by other vendors but it would be killer if heimdallr include those in their lineup.

@@NMwatch True :) By the way, I received my penguin monster and it is a great looker. And the bezel lines up perfectly! Now I'm worried that I may have a fake Seiko Monster! I mean, this is probably the first of my Seikos barring those from 20 odd years ago which has bezel that actually lines up straight! Help!

Love the look of the watch so I bought one and am very disappointed- I have to set it 2-3 times A DAY, and, am worried I am just wearing out the crown and that will fail next. Heimdallr warranty is a JOKE also; they don’t respond and are of no help whatsoever. Very frustrating. BEWARE friends. Try a different clone of Seiko as this one is JUNK
