Audio Notched White Noise Sampler in the Treatment for Tinnitus: 1000 Hz to 10,000 Hz

- There are many possible ways to treat tinnitus. Effective sound therapy like pink noise or white noise can significantly reduce the perceived loudness of tinnitus. Notched audio, however, is the next step beyond generic sound therapy and is tailored precisely to an individual's specific tinnitus frequency. Simply put, notched sound or audio therapy is one type of tinnitus treatment that can reduce the intensity or loudness of tinnitus by listening to special audio tracks on any device whether phone, car stereo, music player, etc.
The key change that must be made to the audio track, however, is that the specific tinnitus frequency that is experienced by a given individual must be completely removed from the audio track. By removing this specific sound frequency or "notching" the audio, the tinnitus itself then supplies the missing frequency sound in the audio track.
The theory goes that when an individual turns off the notched audio sound, the brain will hear an absence of sound (obviously)... but more importantly may ALSO turn off the tinnitus sound. In practice, the tinnitus sound does not turn off for most, but does reduce in many tinnitus sufferers.
For notched white noise higher than 10,000Hz, you can find here:

Notched pink noise examples: • Notched Pink Noise Sam...
Treatment protocol:
The suggested treatment protocol if your tinnitus frequency is 8,000Hz or less is to listen to the notched sound for long periods of time, ~ 5 hours or more at a time. Notched music appears to work as well as notched white noise.
If tinnitus frequency is above 8,000Hz, listen to the notched white noise three times a day, 1 hour each time. Notched music does not appear to work well for tinnitus higher than 8,000Hz. Be aware, there is no research evidence that notched sound therapy works for tinnitus frequencies higher than 13,000Hz.
Sleeping with the notched white noise in either situation works well by additionally providing masking. Tinnitus relief with notched sound therapy usually takes weeks to months.

I have had tinnitus for 8 months and was driving me crazy, couldn’t sleep, became depressed etc. I started using bi modal stimulation, bio feed back, sound therapy such as this, taking magnesium and B complex and most importantly biking or brisk walking and my tinnitus level went down to 6 & sometimes 5 from 8 ( 10 being the highest). In the tinnitus world this type of decrease in volume is great- good luck to all, we are in this together. Stay strong
TRY TAKING GABA 750 MG MORNING 750 MG AT NIGHT. TAKES 2-WEEKS TO 2 MONTHS TO REDUCE TINNITUS . I AM ON MY SECOND MONTH AND STARTING TO SEE A CHANGE .
Thank you- I just saw your reply and I ordered the 750 MG- my tinnitus got worse in the past few days & I am hopeful GABA can help
@@bsedighiupdate?
Yes, GABA does help - I will be starting TMS tomorrow or Thursday as even level 6 is high enough to adversely impact quality of life. TMS is unfortunately not covered by insurance
@@bsedighi ok thank you I will look into it :)

Other videos helped me but this video actually aggravated my tinnitus...
I can't thank you enough, it's a nightmare to not have a moment of silence for a few seconds
I got a tinnitus since im 13 and i got pretty much used to it. But recently since i got some inner inflammation around the ear area(sinusitis most likely) it got a bit more louder so i really thank to someone who made this because it literally makes it so quiet!!
I had silence for a good minute and a half, it was amazing
Yup same I saw a trick on CZcams and it worked for exactly a minute. Then the rining came right back :/
Just keep doing it when you want some relief then lol
It’s a relief to listen to this..tinnitus has bothered me for over a year
This is like scratching an itch. Itch is a type of pain. It is the lowest pain on a perceivable pain scale. When you scratch an itch, you induce a bigger pain to cover up the lower pain. When you notch out frequencies of white noise, which is the full spectrum of noise, you can remove the specific frequency of the tinnitus. When you crank up the volume of the notched frequency white noise, this makes your brain notice all the other frequencies more except for the notched frequencies. Like scratching an itch, it feels good for the moment at least, but seems to come back after you finish.
You're describing perfectly the phenomenon known to ENT surgeons and Audiologists as RI (Residual Inhibition) For some the tinnitus stops or apparently is inaudible but soon returns on the masking sound ending. Sometimes relief but for some none at all. To me all these notches sounded identical and nothing covered up my binaural tinnitus.
Ty! These helped a lot to mask it and make it pretty silent! Recently, a tube in my sinuses has been clogged and it is making my ear (right ) ring. So, ty :]
Not only does it seem to help the tinnitus but also helped my anxiety that I’ve recently started having.
I was considering offing myself within a week of having it pop up randomly on my right ear. This vid may have just came in clutch
I played this while watching a second waterfall video with the sound turned off. Also, worked on releasing muscle tension in my neck and it seemed to help.
My doctor told me about mucle tension too. What kind of exercise did you do? 😊
I had tinnitus for a while, it is a horrible thing to have but I pray to God for healing to those suffering from it, a few suggestions though, getting your ears cleaned by an ent specialist or an audiologist may help, a change in diet, low carbs and low sugar, walking at least 20 minutes a day will definitely help, it may take a few weeks but eventually it goes away
I pray so! Am believing God it will go away. Am in my 50s. Dealing with insomnia led me to using overhead band earphones. One night, I put sleep music & woke up with this horror! I realized I slept off on the headband earphone. This triggered the tinnitus. It’s been 2 wks now. In my left ear. Constant whooshing sound. but I believe it will go away in Jesus name!
Also the doctor told me my ear is full

I've had tinnitus for over 12 months now. I have three distinct notes that I can hear really loudly, but I'm unable to isolate them for the tinnitus matching, so I'm just cranking this video up as loud as I can tolerate it to see if my tinnitus disappears (even temporarily). I'm not too far away from a bullet in the head to get rid of the noise.
bruh i feel your pain
Absolutely know how you feel. I've been given hearing aids but they don't go loud enough to hear people speaking. I'm hoping this will help as doctors have given up and I can't cope with how severe my tinnitus is. Wishing you all the best
Know the feeling I have been living with it for over 25 years and I also get vertigo which is also caused by the middle ear. It feels like it's robbing you from having just n normal life. Pray and stay strong❤
I've had the same thoughts and I'm only 14yrs old. I hope theres gonna be a cure one day but for now we just have to live with it. (unless you already gave up) peace
Well me too actually. I was JUST telling my husband lastnight about this. He has no clue how bad it is. ...only saying that he has some ringing too and nothing you can do but he has zero clue what I'm talking about. Zero. Many people have tinnitus. But many people have it SEVERE. I have it severe and 3 different frequencies. I also have an additional super low humming in right ear that sounds like a low engine. CONSTANTLY.
I have to sleep with a noise machine and up the highest setting.
I have mentioned the only cure is a gun to my head as well. Because it is. .......however I don't want to die that way. So I just don't have anything else to do except wear my blu tooth daily with white noise.

(I knew he had other issues though because I worked with him but extreme Tinnitus I can definitely imagine him NOT tolerating.

Thank you soo much ❤
Listened through the entire video; there are a few frequencies which were very soothing at the time. Seems like 9000 is the best out of these for me. But once the audio stopped I was right back to the multiple layers of ringing. Thanks for the video though!
My foot was itchy, and now my cat is knitting a sweater for my hamster. Thanks!

Sometimes I get high pitched tone stuck in my head. right now I don't, but after listening to this and pausing, the tone stays for a bit then disappeared. It's like my brain is compensating for the missing tone or smth.
I literally almost ended my own life over this god forsaken tinnitus. I feel like I can't even live my life anymore. This genuinely did help
i feel for you. im feeling the same way, i aso have ADHD and i cant concentrate that much anyways and the tinnitus doesnt make it any better and basically i have to listen to music all the time or when im sleeping i have to have some type of noise for me not to hear the ringing... but this kind of helps for me i guess.
How loud is yours and why did you get it
I don't know if I have tinnitus but it's the first time my ear's been ringing so loud
For me to calm down my tinnitus which is mostly on my right side of brain and ear I find that if I’m in nature like in a forest that’s pure quiet but just forest noises my tinnitus goes from an 9 to a 2. Although my tinnitus isn’t as severe as others it’s still there all day and I hate it! I try to be in nature as much as possible

7000hz ish. Many a time wanted to die in the night because of it!white noise is annoying but doesn't quite mask it fully!

Same, most of the time it stays in the back of my mind. I don't know if yours is high pitch continuous tone. Today came to the front of my conscious. I listen to this stuff or music, bathroom fan, taking a shower had helped out on the treadmill.
My tinnitus has multiple frequencies at the same time, the quieter the room the worse.
It's so crazy how many of us are out here struggling with this. I always feel like I'm the only one until I go online. Multiple frequencies gang :'(
ive got severe tinnitus from chemo years ago and i have the regular constant "EEEEEEEEEE" but also sometimes i get a low-pitched tone like someone stuck a prong next to my ear and hit it. its annoying how the tinnitus is always demanding my attention

Hello, just a few questions. 1. Is it okay to hear this via earphones or is it to be heard through speakers or something? 2. How loud should it be?
Listening via earphones is fine. It should be loud enough that you can actually hear the white noise.

Hello, just to undestand well. I found that my hearing is similar in frecuency to 9300 Hz. So, I should hear all the tracks, from the beginning, and silence the 9000Hz and 9500Hz tracks? Thanks for the help!
If your tinnitus frequency is 9300, then theoretically, you should just play the 9000 and 9500. Your brain will add the tinnitus sound to fill in the notch and get a white noise sound it liked. Then, when you turn off the sound, your brain will hopefully turn off the tinnitus.

I can’t hear the difference in frequency from 3500 upwards? It is a terrible thing to have!
Note to myself:
2000 Hz vaguely more unpleasant than my brain's version of noise
2500 Hz helped at first, but stopped feeling good after a few moments
3000 Hz felt like relief when it started, began hurting my ears after a few seconds
3500 Hz is unpleasant in a different way than my normal ringing. Like hitting a different brain spot somehow?
4000 Hz ...meh.
4500 Hz pretty good when it came on, gives me a different whistling sound tho. Level of relief changes based on my phone angle?
5000 Hz different whistling noise than normal :/
(Damn the more i focus on this the more unpleasant hearing anything at all feels. I got this playing at the lowest volume possible)
5500 Hz makes me hear 3 different ringing sounds yay
6000 Hz less unpleasant again, sounds kinda like being underwater?
6500 Hz relieves for a moment but by now my ear's own white noise is getting louder and pulsing
7000 Hz only slightly worse than no sound at all
7500 Hz different than 7000Hz but neither feels "better"
(I really want to stop doing this but I'm afraid to miss "my" frequency at the end)
8000 & 8500 Hz idk anymore, at least it doesn't make me feel actively worse
9000 Hz adds the tiniest pinprick of pain in my brain
9500 Hz reminds me of the sawing of cicadas. Feels too loud even at theblowest possible volume.
10.000 Hz not instantly worse at least
Conclusion: my own static / ringing is kinda pleasant or soothing in comparasion to all of these.
I feel worse than before now.
What is the approximate volume level we should be listening to this at?
Based on their theory, it should be the same volume as the tinnitus sound. With that said, the white noise has a much wider spectrum than the tinnitus. The average sound would need to be significantly higher. I've been playing it at music levels to start with.
slightly below your T level
My question is will it still work if the ad comes in between 😂😂😂😂😂
