- My name is Xavier CARRIOU I am a French Audiologist , my company has created software to model and test any kind of tinnitus ("tinnitometer TM"); this device is use by specialists in audiology.
With this tool we discovered an application to relieve tinnitus .
We call it "sound therapy of the wind".
Use headphones and balance the sound to be just at the same level as your tinnitus .
Be careful to hear it gently, never too strong.
Remember that too much noise affects your ear and can create tinnitus.

I've had tinnitus for over 10 years now, constant in both ears (ex military damage). I find when I am anxious, stressed, tired (brought on mainly by the constant noise) it just gets worse. Depression can be a big factor because of the sleepless nights and subsequently becomes worse over time. I find stimulating the ear canals with high frequencies like this can dissipate it somewhat. That being said, massaging the areas around my ears can also stimulate the brain receptors between the middle and inner ear and can also relieve the noise to a more comfortable level.

I've had tinnitus every second of every day 24/7 it NEVER stops for 11 months now. Lack of help for scarring / damaged eardrum. They won't do surgery cause my hearing loss isn't as "bad" as it could be so I'm left to suffer. I would rather be deaf than keep living like this.

I am not suffering with titinus. I might have it but I don't mind it. But I like this alot. I like frequency 8000 it makes me feel okay. The video could be longer. Frequencies which blow about in the wind have always been my favourite thing. I remember alot of outdoor rock concerts as a child and I always loved the way the sound blew about.

Important you must listen the sound at the same level than your tinnitus. If you hear it too loud like any other sound you can produce a sound troma and sound troma is the first reason of Tinnitus .

I was listening to your "tinnitometer" when one of the ads came up. A woman screamed something to do with exercising. I am worried it had made my tinnitus even worse. My right ear now hurts a bit. I am writing this to warn others using this video that some of the ads are VERY LOUD.

You have a reason to warn. tinnitus can get worse if you listen to loud videos. You should NEVER listen to the video louder than the masking level, i.e. never louder than the level which is sufficient to mask the tinnitus while being certain that the noise you hear corresponds to your tinnitus If, for example, you listen to a high frequency noise at very loud intensity, it will never mask low frequency tinnitus and then you risk accentuating your tinnitus.

I would imagine it would make it worse because titinus is when the hair in the ear has been so batterered by a frequency it stays flat like long grass stays flat after the wind blows it over.

I am so thankful that I only have the tinnitus in one ear- my right ear, which is not my primary hearing ear. I listen to the phone on my left. This has been the level that seems to cover up my higher range of tinnitus, but I have a combined lower tone, under the high pitch as well. Is there anything that combines highs with lows?

hearing is not normally unilateral (one ear) unlike sight.

the sound therapy effect is to "forget" your tinnitus, if you mixed it in real other noises. so it easyer with very similar sound.

Les séquences de bruits proposées sont définies par leur fréquence si votre acouphène correspond à cette fréquence et que votre oreille entend suffisamment. Le son produit couvre naturellement l'acouphène et vous repose.
Si votre perte auditive ne permet pas d'entendre sur cette fréquence il faut dans un premier temps corriger votre oreille avec un appareil auditif.
Depuis cette année les appareils corrigent jusqu'à 9000 Hz.
Si votre oreille est trop sourde sur la fréquence de l'acouphène, les séquences de bruits ne peuvent pas être efficaces.

My tinnitus is not the 8kHz from the video, but a low delicate stammering sound that I hear in my right ear always for about two weeks with about one week of break in between. Many electronic devices, e.g my computer, my electric heating or our fridge produce that one sound. I sometimes ask people if they hear it too, but nobody exept of me can that one sound... I have mamy different sounds playing in my head that come and stay for a while before they back dissappear. I can assign some of them to everyday objects (e.g. a washing machine) what is that? Sometimes when I lie in my bed, I feel like having a sounding aura around me of up to five sounds playing at the same time. I already went to a doctor, but he said my ears are completely healthy, no hearing loss, acoustic trauma or other tinnitus causing things.
Your tinnitus seem to be in a low frequency part you must have a test with a doctor using Tinnometer to know exactly what kind of tinnitus you have.
When you make the test you must have the tinnitus.

I have tinnitus two years ago, this frequency of 8 kHz is the closest to the frequency of my tinnitus.
In fact, my tinnitus oscillates at a frequency close to 7 kHz, between its two simulations of 6 kHz and 8 kHz.

@@Tinnitometer hi yes both ears the ENT doctor said but I have ringing in both ears which is a walk in the park compared to this sound in my left ear it sound like one of those cicarda insects that live in the bush/ forest. I have it 24/7 it does subside at some times of the day or night to the sound of like when you put milk in rice bubbles or Coco pops the breakfast cereal not sure if you know what I mean or have that in your country, but when it ramps up its the sound of a circada insect and very intense. I've start some acupuncture treatment this week only one session so far no improvement as yet. The guy I'm seeing now saying could be nerve related. If I works or find anything that works I'll be sure to share it here. Any ideas to I'm open thanks for reaching out x
@@tysonmike9820 This kind of audio program has worked the best for me. Find the hertz level that most closely matches what you normally hear in your ear and listen to it at the same level that it is in your ear. There are a couple of videos in this area of CZcams that have a sliding scale of sounds matching different hertz levels where you can determine which one matches your ear sound. Mine just happens to be 8000 hz. Don’t play it too loud thinking more is better. It isn’t. Just play it at the same volume you’re hearing, or even slightly less. Listen for 10-15 minutes at first to see if it helps. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn’t, but when it does it’s such a relief. There is no permanent cure fore tinnitus, so you may have to do it every day or every few days, sometimes for longer periods, you just have to find what works for you. Good luck.

30% you must use an hearing aid. Ask your audiologist to analyse your tinnitus and he have to put more gain at low level just on the frequency band of your tinnnitus you have 9 chances on 10 to have a real reslult . Trust me I am doing that every day with my patients and I have 93% good result with 50% of case canceling complitely the tinnitus. Try to find an audiologist who use Tinnometer (MedRx audiometer)

when the difference betwen the left and the right ear is bigger than 60 db, the sound cross the head by the bone and you hear in the wrong ear.

It is not the tinnitus which is too strong it is your hearing loss at the level of the tinnitus which prevents you from hearing in this case you must consult and one of the best solution is to wear a hearing aid to hear again at the level of your tinnitus

This is NOT helpful at all, all it does is induce Tinnitus effects and make it worse???? :-(
If you listen to it too loud, it's the same problem as too loud music, you can get tinnitus. To use this sound correctly, you need to hear it at the same level as your tinnitus
