They've interviewed others at his school and the consistant story was that he was not picked on, he would pick on people, he would attack others and try to start physical fights and he regularly hurt, K illed and tortured animals. I'm sure there's more to his backstory than that, when his mom was interviewed she didn't seem too disturbed, maybe she was in shock but it was odd that she didn't express more emotion. His story will surely start to unravel since everyone is so interested now.

I'm sure she just didn't know him. He had a double life, the guardians were completely uninvolved in his personal life. His mother looked like her opinion of her son was that he was still a little kid, but most likely he had matured into a psychopath years before this incident and he went completely unchecked. It's easy to blame mom, but she's a victim too despite how angry we all are. I thought her response was strange too, but my heart breaks for her too.

In a KWTX article I first read about a month ago, he was riding with a person he met online. There’s nothing on the identity of the driver, or the passenger in the back who’s recording. There’s also supposed to be a video that was taken when he was riding with a friend where he fired BB guns at people and egged cars. He also discarded a dead cat into the street, causing a big accident. Hopefully the identities of these individuals are revealed; because many red flags are prevalent here.

People who hurt/k*ll animals, especially as children, always end up being ab*sive when they’re older. I actually know a few people like that and constantly try to make all of my nephews understand that it is never okay to hurt anyone, including animals and that they have feelings and feel pain too. And if anyone allows their children to harm anyone (including animals) that’s extremely alarming and a red flag. They learn it from someone.

@@shaheedharun445 camera man and driver are complicit in this act, the car owner is clearly helping him to go to and from areas he is collecting the cats from and given the shooters expression and hand signal, he is receiving praise from the camera man. its clear he did not feel disgusted with the act but rather goaded him, its easy to draw a parallel to children in a skate park that just did a trick for the camera.

@Alin Mihai im sorry, but im genuinely concerned. the friends were RECORDING, they were encouraging the behavior. also, ive done a lot of research on this case and there was reportedly a friend who would go out with ramos and shoot people with BB guns with him. this friend HAS to also have some kid of homicidal tendencies. but i am very sorry if my comments came off wrong in some way.

I really wanna know what enables somebody to do this? Hatred, abuse, drugs, trauma? I would really like to know because I've experienced all types of stuff in my life, enough to turn a good person, bad, yet I never once thought about going out and purchasing a gun. There was something else at play here, and it's bothering me... Maybe the guy was just pure evil.
I totally understand what your saying. I’ve been through so much trauma myself and never felt the need or urge to hurt anyone. The most I’ve hurt was myself. My anger turned inward towards myself. I’ve had so much healing. Thanks to be to God that I’m still here.
Not justifying his actions here or on his side. But I’m on the same page as you, I can’t tell what led him to become this version of himself. However, I think that maybe he grew up in a toxic household. I have read a few articles about him and according to one, his mother kicked him out of the house at a young age so he had to live with his grandparents. Another one, was an article of an interview of his father and he said that he was always told by his son that he felt like he didn’t love him. Then the interviews of his mother, grandfather and the moms bf they all felt off to me. They may describe him as a “good person” but it seems like they are unsure of what he really was like and it’s most likely because they didn’t care and didn’t give him attention and let him do whatever he wanted. All of that, probably led him to the school shooting and the abuse and murders of animals. He got angry because he saw those little children having families that love and care about them. And he maybe tortured animals because of that reason too. In his mind he thought, “if I can’t have a happy family, love or anyone who cares about me. those kids and animals can’t either” and he also maybe thought, “if I do this, ppl will know my name. i’ll finally have the attention i always wanted that i never got.” so he went on and expressed that anger and pain in the most brutal way. I personally don’t think people are born evil, he probably just went through too much he couldn’t take it anymore.

I think this is actually a truly profound question that has been asked by professionals for decades. He shared many characteristics of psychopaths, specifically serial killers. There's so much evidence surrounding mutilation and killing of animals, particularly small animals like cats and the association with human violence. So much so that the FBI has flirted with a national database for these types of crimes. No joke. As to the real question, what drives and motivates people to commit acts like this, the answer is many things, but one thing is absolutely certain--none of this is normal. What I mean by that is, like you said, you didn't turn to this kind of violence because you had tough experiences. Lots of people don't ever turn to extreme violence after a hard life. What that says about the Uvalde shooter is that his mental health problems predated this event, probably his entire life he has had mental health issues that have gone unchecked. We may never fully understand the "why", but we can understand how this behavior is nurtured. We can look at serial killers and their impulses, we can see how violence and pleasure become intertwined inextricably, and like a drug addict, they continue to escalate their violence until they get the same level of pleasure. I don't know if I believe in "evil" in the traditional sense. When I think of a man like Ted Bundy, getting gratification from committing heinous crimes against women, that someone would defile a human just because it made them feel good, that is the closest I can get to a definition of "evil". But "evil" sounds supernatural, it minimizes the human reality of the crimes. In that sense, we must sterilize these acts, call them what they are: delusional acts of pure selfishness. This was a senseless crime to you and I, but to Salvador Ramos, this endeavor was worth his life. Salvador Ramos nurtured his violent tendencies, he enjoyed them, and he wanted to exact pain on society. He was a high school drop out in a poor Texas town; he was not in control of his life, but I'm sure that mutilating small defenseless animals made him feel very powerful. Salvador Ramos was not "evil", he was small, pathetic, cowardice, and he took pleasure in hurting the defenseless because he was powerless to change his own life. I'm taking many liberties here in analyzing this young man, so I apologize if that makes anyone uncomfortable.

In fact, this correlation between animal violence and human violence is so strong, there needs to be a strong national database (finally) to start watching these perpetrators earlier. If these acts are indicators of future violence and criminality, than THAT alone should prevent them from EVER possessing firearms.

This kid is the exact reason you have to be strict with your children. You have to know everything they are doing. Make sure they are going where they say they are going all the time, check their phones, social media, and other devices to see what they are up to. Search their rooms! Your job is to be a parent first.
Most kids aren't psychopaths. You don't have to be that strict with them. This kid's parents/step-parents should have been very strict with him, though.

You certainly have to be keenly aware of what is happening in their lives, with whom they are associating, and where they are hanging out. You need to limit their access to social media and when you do allow it, you need to know for what. I don’t believe you should be harsh with them, but you should be omnipresent.
This is why you talk to your children from day one. why you give them the attention they need and most importantly try not to have any until you are ready to do that. you don’t need to invade a child’s personal space leaving them with no sense of privacy or independence. then you have kids who don’t want to leave home and if they do normally come back because they’ve never controlled there own lives and don’t know how. this is why you know who your child is. if his mother would’ve known her kid, this could’ve been prevented. she says in an interview “he was never violent, I know he had his reasons but I have no words” she literally didn’t even know him or give him the time of day, or she would have known her son is doing crazy stuff, the fact is, it seems they lived with grandma, who supported both of them, I’m assuming the mom couldn’t be in the picture that much due to working (not exactly her fault, but again, it’s not entirely impossible to set yourself up in life before bringing another life into what you have going on) so this kid seemingly had the time to go do whatever he wanted without be questioned ever on what it was.

We need to stop coming at the mom for something that her son did , I was born in raised in Chicago and my mom is a crackhead and my father is in prison for killing someone never saw a day in my life. I myself was born chemically imbalanced with all those factory and having access to a fire arm. I did not do something foul like this guy did. He made the decision and he program himself with the things he was watching or reading and what he did was attack his mother by doing this. A mom is always going love there child mom's love is unconditional yes she's disappointed her son but she's still going to love her son and she said my son has a mental problem. She is not responsible for his actions. And she taken a huge hit because of this and that was his intentions and he wanted a easy way out because life was to hard for him he wanted to be pampered instead of being a man that's where this all boils down to
