I sit here; stressed about regular life things, work, bills, etc and watch this. I'm a single father of a 4 year old princess and it's just tragic to see this and imagine. "Don't take a second for granted." I learned this when me myself was 10 when my parents died; and it just came back full circle 15 years later. How could you shoot a classroom of 4th graders so mercilessly?

There is no way somebody unrecognizable should ever be able to just waltz on through the doors of a school. As a former teacher and even places that I subbed at, I wouldn’t even be able to get in without the security system having the people at the front desk asking who I am and to make sure I have my ID out and then you show your ID to the little camera thing and then it is only then that you can be like through the doors. Sure, it’s a lot effing slower, but it definitely prevented any unwanted people entering the building.
He made his way inside with force. There is nothing those monitoring the doors could have done unless they were an armed police officer

He was an active shooter they don't follow rules or show ID. The process only works when you do it because you're not a psycho killer and you allow it to work instead of using violence to avoid it.

Hello Dana Shootings like this do occur in other countries, Russia had what is the worst school shooting in the world. 325 kids and teachers were killed by a small group of isis members that entered the country illegally and obtained ak 47 s, they took all of the young boys and few teaches and executed them. In Russia citizens are not allowed to possess handguns or semi auto rifles but the isis members obtained fully automatic rifles both are very common with criminals in that country.
The first thing that needs to be done is school security at all schools instead of more gun laws, they will only change the tool they prefer and we will see this for another 20 years while law makers try to decide what to do. The secret service has a full report on how to stop school shootings, its very similar to what Israel does for their schools and according to the report I read they dont have school shootings. Their schools are fenced, gated and a highly trained armed guard is at the gate/metal detector. They stated the first thing terrorist go after is their children. We must keep them away from the schools.

check out Wilson High School in Long Beach. not sure how it is now but back when i went there for one year, there was only 1 entrance which is thru the front WITH METAL DETECTOR. tho long beach was scary for me, but i felt comfortable knowing we should be safe.

It is terrible what this has led us to, while the laws for the regulation of the sale of weapons continue without changing, or being less strict, this dangerous phenomenon is due to the fact that these active shooter events continue to happen more frequently, to a point that can be normalized, as a society we have to take action and protect our children and our people, rather than support protecting the arms industry as some politicians do by filling their pockets with money. Enough of hypocrisy by politicians pretending to care about our children in schools! we all know the names of the politicians who support the easy and carefree sale of weapons! It's enough!!!
