    As a Japanese, I’m not really bothered by people “stealing” our culture if they’re inspired, it’s if they go too far that is the problem. People trying to ‘defend’ Japanese by attacking people who are enjoying the culture which is pretty ridiculous. I’m sure those girls looked lovely in Yukata or Kimono.

    • @chany6336
      @chany6336 Před 3 lety +88

      Also yukatas are traditionally made out of cotton and while they were the equivalent of bathrobes, over time they have become the casual, summer choice.
      Kimonos usually are made out of silk with many inner layers and are worn on formal events, weddings ,funerals , coming of age.
      There are also different kinds of kimono, the longer sleeves reserved for unmarried women, while the black kimonos with a family.logo on each side of the chest is usually reserved for the mother/mother in law at weddings

Conveniently he happened to have stake in an alternate, competing single vaccine for measles (I think). His initial thing was suggesting and alternate vaccination schedule using his vaccine instead of the MMR one.
      He did "studies" to prove the harmful side effects of the MMR vaccine (which he falsified his data for), and was an all around bastard. Then in like 2010 he lost his licence and the paper he wrote was retracted, but the damage was already done.

    4:42 Ways she could have those and be poor: 1. A gift. 2. Theft. 3. Bought them when she had money and since got poor. 4. Found them in a thrift store and bought them really cheap. 5. Bought them with a payment plan. 6. Bought them with a credit card.
    Poor people are allowed to have nice things. Man does not live by bread alone. I'm barely skating by on $900 a month and I own three laptops, a desktop, a tablet, and a smartphone because I bought my old big laptop and desktop many years ago when I had a lot more money; I bought the smaller laptop used from eBay for $60; my Kindle Fire was only $50; got my smartphone free with a two year contract, and the phone/text/data combo pack monthly fee is cheaper than my previous cell phone's plan was. Desktop and older laptop are so old they hardly work anymore, netbook is okay for writing but not much else, I agreed to pay for the new laptop in installments (which will cost me far more in the long run than if I'd had the cash to buy it outright) because I can afford the installments if I go to the food bank every month. Next year is going to massively suck because of that, but it will suck less with a laptop that actually works well than the molasses-slow laptop and netbook.
    when you're as poor as I am, sometimes there are things that if you don't have them in your life, you go insane. If I'm going to be shit poor and eating beans and rice all month anyway, I might as well be able to watch Netflix so I don't crack up with nothing to do all day and start murdering rich people and stealing their shit.
