    Excellent presentation! We've been drinking and using distilled water for everything since 2008. Tried many different distiller 's in the first four years and always had some kind of a problem. Then we found this brand and started using this exact same model distiller in 2012. Then we bought a second one in 2014 and have been using both units 3 times a day....most day's all year long. All we've done is our monthly distillation tank cleanings and routine maintenance parts replacements. This simply put is just an excellent American product that is still made here in America and a co. where you can still call the company and get a live person who cares and wants to help you! They have a service department that will talk with you and has the supplies/parts on site that you may need. Just so we're clear, I'm not an employee or associated with this company in any way, shape or form. Just a very long time satisfied customer that is glad there is still a company like this!

    So the black water that came from the carbon filter will not be discharged into the final distilled water ? Because I soaked and broke it down as per vídeo instructions but the carbon filter is damp and feels like it will continue to dump this gray dust into my batch of the distilled water since the filter goes into that gray and gray has openings so isn’t my final distilled water have residues off it ? ….

    Will I not be soaking the carbon filter in VOCs using that first batch of no-filter water to activate it? Or is it all mostly gone thru the vents? And the filter is just extra?

    • @PureWaterDistillers
      @PureWaterDistillers  Před rokem +2

      A vast majority of VOCs will vent off before the water comes to a full boil. The filter's primary functions are to be a final catch for any persistent or sneaky VOCs that may try to slide through with the distillate. The other function is that of a taste polisher where the carbon will make the water a bit more palatable.

      @@PureWaterDistillers I see. OK, thanks! One more question, is H20Labs an authorized dealer of the Mini Classic and Steampure? I see they have the countertop models in stock.

    why does the water turn black when you soak the filter? So why would this suddenly stop happening when it is in the unit?

    • @PureWaterDistillers
      @PureWaterDistillers  Před rokem

      The soaking/agitation helps rinse out the small particulates of carbon that settle/reduce in size during the shipment process. Once the filter has been saturated the water does not flow through fast enough to dislodge additional particulates.

    What is the trick to get the Boiler Door open? Kind of a deal breaker if i can't get it open.

    • @PureWaterDistillers
      @PureWaterDistillers  Před 2 měsíci

      Try unplugging the power cord from the rear of the distiller and laying the entire distiller on it's back. Sometimes during shipment, the boiling tank can shift and the padding can wedge in the door latch. By laying the entire machine on it's back side the tank will shift back into position, allowing you to open the door.

    If I forgot to take off the tie before startup then took it off after and the fan still runs am I fine?

    • @PureWaterDistillers
      @PureWaterDistillers  Před rokem

      I'm going to assume it was a pretty quick realization that the tie was on. As long as you aren't hearing any odd sounds or experiencing any odd vibrations to the distiller, yes, you should be perfectly fine.
