    Hi! I accidently ran it without a lid, did I damage the machine? I noticed new mineral buildup above the fill line and the roof of the bioling tank chamber was wet. Is it oke to fill the tank with 50% water and 50% white distilled vinegar till the very top?

    • @PureWaterDistillers
      @PureWaterDistillers Před měsícem

      Hello! Accidents happen. Thankfully since the machine is made of 304 grade stainless steel, you'll be able to wipe down any surface areas that have had condensation on them and be good to go. If you would like 100% clarification on the buildup you are describing, you can send photos of the area to info@pureandsecure.com If the scale you are describing is light or chalky in appearance, yes, you can do the 50/50 vinegar water mix to do an overnight soak on the parts in question.

    What do you guys think about the plastic connection tube that connects the pipe from the boiling tank with the cooling pipe. Isnt that a Problem? The hot destilled steam gets in contact with the plastic... Doesnt that cause mikro/nano plastic or doesnt that take up chemicals from that plastic? Thanks 🙏🏻

    • @PureWaterDistillers
      @PureWaterDistillers Před měsícem

      Not a problem at all. It's high temp rated silicone tubing that is inert at the temps encountered during distillation. Here are our third party test results that were done after using the distiller in it's full capacity (including going through the .5" of silicone tubing; mypurewater.com/wp-content/uploads/LabTestingBrochure2022v7.pdf

    Why in the world did you guys use a ruber connector between the steel pipe that comes out of the water container and connescts it to the steel pipe in which the awter cools off, the steam comes in contact with the plastic, how is that any good??? Please explain this poor choice!!!

    • @PureWaterDistillers
      @PureWaterDistillers Před měsícem

      It is food grade silicone rated well above normal plastics temperatures that can result in potential leaching. All of our testing results can be reviewed here: mypurewater.com/wp-content/uploads/LabTestingBrochure2022v7.pdf All this testing has been after the water has gone through the distillation cycle in the units. (this includes going through the 3/4" section of silicone tubing you're concerned about). Not a poor choice at all. It is rather good one. If you are at all concerned, please get your distiller's resultant water tested, or take your distiller into a local water testing plant/company and make sure they are running the distiller according to manufacturer directions and let us know what their results are so we can compare and contrast to what we've gotten so far.

      Try unplugging the power cord from the rear of the distiller and laying the entire distiller on it's back. Sometimes during shipment, the boiling tank can shift and the padding can wedge in the door latch. By laying the entire machine on it's back side the tank will shift back into position, allowing you to open the door.

    I saw this same machine from a youtuber who purchase it. I was curious to see how it works. Is the volume of water in the container prior to the steam, release the same amount of distilled water after the steam. Meaning if I put in 1 gallon, will it release 1 gallon or is it less?

    • @PureWaterDistillers
      @PureWaterDistillers Před 6 měsíci

      Here's a more current video explaining the operation a bit more: czcams.com/video/DWAIoUeUBUA/video.html But to answer your question; you put 1 gallon into the boiling tank and the machine will produce .8 gallons (3L) of water by the end of it's cycle. There is leftover water containing the concentrated contaminants that ensures the heating element doesn't over heat and potentially vaporize said contaminants.

    Oh yeah, how about you inject someone with distilled water and see how they react? They will most likely go into shock and die... The blood is composed of a variety of things and one of them is plasma... it is basically water with electrolytes. Your body is an electrical machine that needs proper electrical conductivity for it to function. Distilled water does not conduct electricity, water with ions DOES. Drinking distilled water will for sure flush out the minerals in your body since your body uses PLASMA to urinate, sweat, tear up, and defecate. All water including well water, spring water, river water, ocean water has minerals in it. Rain water is used to nourish plants since they already have the minerals they need from the soil.

I couldn't believe it at first but I asked about this in Water Distillers FB group and there was many ppl who was sick after drinking it. The filters will need replaced roughly every 3-6 months. In your case, the first thing I would recommend trying is to rehydrate and massage the filter in some distilled water. This can help restructure the charcoal in the filter and allow the water to flow through it once more. As the carbon settles, the finer particulates of the carbon can settle to the bottom of the filter and block the drain holes of the filter tray enough to cause the overflow you are getting. We have a video going over the filter preparation here as well: czcams.com/video/Z2mxXckBjZI/video.html&t

    On page 11 of the Owner's Manual, it states the below verbiage. In step 3 it only states: 3. Immerse the new carbon filter (8) in a separate container filled with distilled water for one minute. Why does that rulebook suggest a rather looser processing than your video does? To Replace the Carbon Filter: 1. Remove the drinking water container (10) from the unit. 2. Remove the old filter by sliding the filter housing (9) and filter (8) towards you or removing it from the opening in the drinking water container. 3. Immerse the new carbon filter (8) in a separate container filled with distilled water for one minute. 4. Remove the soaked filter and place it into the filter housing. 5. Slide the new filter and housing back into the guide.

    I have another issue with my heating tank not starting. 45 minutes in and direct power has done nothing. I'm gonna order another part, but overall I seem to run into some issue every year or even less than every year with my heating tank. Do you think it might help to plug my distiller into a new electrical outlet, with a new breaker bar? Maybe it could be some lightning storms or faulty electrical sourcing. I dunno.

    • @PureWaterDistillers
      @PureWaterDistillers Před rokem

      Double check the bottom screw on the controller/heating element connection on the rear of the boiling tank. If that is discolored at all, that would be an indicator of the connection either loosening or building up with scale. One thing to try would be to try tightening that connection each time you descale. Due to the constant insertion and removal of the tank on top of the thermal swing throughout the distillation cycle, that connection can slowly loosen over time which can cause a loss in production as well as potentially short out the heating element/controller prematurely.

    • @PureWaterDistillers

      The filter (bituminous coal) acts as a final catch for any VOCs that may try to hitch a ride through the distillation cycle. It also acts as a 'taste polisher' adding carbon to the distilled water to bring it closer to a 7 PH level.

      Either our Lumen product (Sulfamic and Citric Acid mix) or you can use a 50/50 mix of Vinegar and hot water to soak the boiling tank as well.

    I used my SteamPure Water Distiller the first time today and did not empty the water out after the sterilization because this video shows going from sterilization into making the first batch of distilled water without emptying. I opened the boiling tank lid after letting it cool for about 20 minutes, added more water to get to the bottom of the water level indicator and put the fan switch on "Purify". The fan started and I waited for the distiller to run for at least 5 hours according to the manual, however after only 3 and a half hours, the fan stopped when the glass jar was about two-thirds full. Is this unusual? I hope it stopped because of the float tripping the switch if the water level had reached "approximately 1 inch above the heating element". I'm about to try distilling the second batch of water now. I really wish your website had a FAQ section because the manual doesn't explain everything.

      Having run it a couple of times again, are you still getting the speedy results? That is a bit quick for this model of distiller. Are you using a standard 120 volt outlet to power the distiller?

      @@PureWaterDistillers I just made a batch of distilled water in 4 and a half hours. Yes, it's plugged into a standard 120 volt outlet. This is the 11th time I've made distilled water with it, not counting the first batch which was used to water my tomato plants.

    Well my natural question is, can you boil all the water and leave behind more contaminants in the flask? Or better yet where do the contaminants go at the boiled dry point of complete evaporation?

    • @PureWaterDistillers
      @PureWaterDistillers Před rokem

      If you boil all the water off, you run the risk of having the element/heat source spiking in temperature and potentially vaporizing any number of the contaminants you're wanting out of the source water. Our distillers are designed to never boil dry and will always retain enough water in the boiling chambers to cover the heating elements at the end of the cycle to ensure there is no over-heating/cross contamination.

    If I don’t see any scale buildup after a month could my distiller be faulty?

    • @PureWaterDistillers
      @PureWaterDistillers Před rokem

      Not at all! As long as you are getting your full production of 3L per cycle nothing should be wrong with the distiller. The lack of scale build up is an indicator that you don't have a lot of heavy minerals in your source water to begin with. If you have a softener system/whole house filtration, you may be get 2-3 months before you start seeing any significant scale buildup.

      @@onehungrypanda316 Yes, when the timers fail, they typically fail with the result of not getting any power through to the fan/heating element. Rarely do the switches themselves go bad.
